Abstract

Identifying leading sectors is important, especially in determining future economic development strategies. Therefore, this study was conducted in order to improve the economic competitiveness of Magelang City as the vision that stated in RPJPD Magelang City 2005-2025 with redaction “Magelang as a service city that cultured, advanced and competitive in civil society”. The methods used is a combined analyst of static and dynamic Location Quotient (LQ), Shift-share, Growth Ratio Model (MRP), Overlay, and Klasssen Typology. The results showed that 4 (four) sectors are classified into advanced and rapidly growing sectors: electricity, gas and water supply; transportation and warehousing; Mandatory government administration, defense, and compulsory social security; and Educational services. Economic development strategies to improve the economic competitiveness of Magelang city can bedone in short, medium, and long term.

Abstract

As a developing country, Indonesia has not been separated from the problem of poverty. Central Java is one of the provinces in Indonesia that has a high number of poor people in Indonesia. Even poverty in Central Java is still a strategic issue that cannot be completely resolved. This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of the output of the agricultural sector, manufacturing industry, and the tourism sector on the number of poor people in Central Java in 2016-2020. This study uses secondary data using a panel regression model. The results of this study indicate that (1) the agricultural sector has a negative and significant effect on poverty in Central Java, (2) the manufacturing sector has an insignificant negative effect on poverty in Central Java, (3) the tourism sector has a negative and insignificant effect on poverty in Central Java, (4) the agricultural sector, the manufacturing sector, and the tourism sector together have a significant influence on poverty in Central Java in 2016-2020.

Abstract

The case of COVID-19 has spread among civil servants in Magelang City. The presence of comorbidities can aggravate the condition so that it can cause death. The social determinants and behavior of CERDIK are one of the factors that can prevent non-communicable or comorbid diseases. The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between social determinants and CERDIK behavior in civil servants on the incidence of comorbidities to handling the covid 19 pandemic in Magelang City. The research method used an explanatory mix method study with a sample of 287 civil servants. Samples were taken by accidental sampling method. Respondents who experienced Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) were 20.9% with the most common type of NCD, that is hypertension at 7.32%. Respondents who do not have regular health checks, who have smoking behavior, do not consume vegetables and fruit, never do physical activity, lack rest and stress of having NCD. The most dominant variable influencing the incidence of NCD in respondents is the age variable. The existence of NCD and risk factors for NCD events can exacerbate the incidence of other diseases, including the presence of COVID-19 cases, so treatment for NCD is needed through Posbindu at the institutional level.

Abstract

City Park is a form of Urban Green Open Space (RTHKP), is a demand for each region in Indonesia to provide public green open space of 20% of the total area. Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works Number 05/PRT/M/2021 concerning Guidelines for Provision and Utilization of Green Open Spaces in Urban Areas, it is stated that Green Open Spaces have Ecological, Socio-Cultural, Economic and Aesthetic functions. The problem at this time is that the use of parks is not optimal in accordance with their ideal functions so that it requires an initiation from the Government in order to maximize the use of this Public Open Space to improve the Quality of Life of the Community and the Welfare of the People in Urban Areas through increasing economic and socio-cultural functions in accordance with the Guidelines. Abstract

This research has to analyze the factors that affect the welfare of the people in the districts / cities of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) measured by using the Human Development Index (HDI). In this study, quantitative research methods were used using panel data regression analysis of the fixed effects model (FEM) with the Generalized Least Square (GLS) method. The results showed that the variables of income disparity and TPT (Open Unemployment Rate) did not significantly influence the welfare of the people in districts / cities of the Province of D.I. Yogyakarta. Non-food Expenditure Variables and Economic Growth have a significant effect on the welfare of the community in the district / city of Province D.I. Yogyakarta in 2015-2020.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that is rich in natural resources, it should have a better international trade performance in increasing the exchange rate. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of exports, imports and GDP on the exchange rate in Indonesia in 1990-2019. The data used in this study is time series data for 1990-2019 obtained from the official website of the world bank and the Central Statistics Agency. This study uses ECM. This study analyzes the relationship between the long-term and short-term variables used. The estimation results from the cointegration equation show that in the long run Export, Import and GDP variables have a significant effect on the Exchange Rate in Indonesia.
