Abstract

Research Objectives: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the Guided Discovery Learning learning model on the reaction rate material. Methodology: The research method used is a mix method research method that combines quantitative research and qualitative research. The design used is a quasi-experimental research design with a time-series design without a control class. There is one class that is used as a sample, namely class XI MIPA 6. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The research instrument used was an observation sheet on teacher and student activities in carrying out the model and student learning outcomes tests in the form of essays. Main findings: Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the effectiveness of using the Guided Discovery Learning Model in terms of student learning outcomes at the first meeting increased compared to the pretest (25.66%, 73.88%), and at the second meeting (73.88%, 74 ,33%). The data is supported by quantitative observation data which shows a good category (76%), and qualitative observation data of the learning process has been carried out well. However, at the third meeting, learning outcomes decreased drastically by around 53.16%. This is relevant to the qualitative data which also shows that the learning process was not carried out well at the third meeting. Research novelty: The novelty of this research is the use of the Guided Discovery Learning model to see student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to analyze the Implementation of the Problem Based Learning Model and its Correlation to the Creative Attitudes of Students in the Chemical Bonding Material for Class X SMA Negeri 5 Tanjung Jabung Timur. Methodology: This research is a correlational descriptive with a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using an instrument in the form of an observation sheet on the implementation of PBL mode and students' creative attitudes. The data was obtained in the form of quantitative data and qualitative data. Quantitative data were tested by regression to see the significance of the effect of implementing the problem-based learning model on students' creative attitudes. While the qualitative data obtained were analyzed using the analysis of Miles and Huberman. Main Findings: The analysis results show that the implementation of the PBL model by teachers and students is included in the good category. The correlation coefficient obtained is 0.707, meaning that the relationship between the implementation of the PBL model and students' creative attitudes has a strong relationship level. The results of the t-test indicate that tcount > ttable is 5,295>2,048, which means that the implementation of the PBL model affects students' creative attitudes. Novelty/Originality of this study: Thus, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the implementation of the PBL model and the creative attitude of class X students of SMA Negeri 5 Tanjung Jabung Timur on chemical bonding.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana keterlaksanaan model discovery learning serta pengaruhnya terhadap sikap kreatif peserta didik dalam pembelajaran materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan (Ksp) di kelas XI MIA SMAN 2 Kota Jambi. Metodologi: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif asosiatif dengan desain Pre-Eksperimental Design tipe One-Shot Case Study. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara mix method jenis concurrent embedded. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model discovery learning baik dari guru maupun peserta didik serta lembar observasi dan angket sikap kreatif peserta didik. Temuan utama: Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan keterlaksanaan model discovery learning dengan sikap kreatif yang dikategorikan kuat dengan rata-rata rxy 0,633 dan terdapat juga pengaruh keterlaksanaan model discovery learning terhadap sikap kreatif peserta didik. Keterbaruan penelitian: Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model discovery learning dalam pembelajaran kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan (Ksp) di kelas XI 5 MIA SMAN 2 Kota Jambi telah terlaksana dengan baik sehingga peserta didik dapat mengembangkan sikap keratif dalam proses pembelajaran. Disamping itu pelaksanaan model discovery learning dapat meningkatkan sikap kreatif peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) dengan pendekatan saintifik terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Kota Jambi. Metodologi: Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah posttest-only control design dengan dua kelas sampel. Kelas eksperimen diajarkan dengan model TPS guna melihat pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan soal tes dan lembar observasi. Temuan utama: Karena thitung > ttabel maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak pada taraf kepercayaan 95%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) dengan pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung pada kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Kota Jambi. Keterbaruan penelitian: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) dengan pendekatan saintifik terhadap hasil belajar siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Kota Jambi.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa kelas X MIPA terhadap Teori gerak lurus. Metodologi: Studi dilakukan pada 13-19 Oktober 2020 di SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan instrumen berupa angket yang berisi pertanyaan tentang Teori gerak lurus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode siswa mengisi angket yang diberikan berupa pertanyaan tentang Teori gerak lurus melalui link google form. Temuan Utama: Dari penelitian yang dilakukan menghasilkan data 42% sampel memiliki tingkat pemahaman yang kurang terhadap teori gerak lurus, 36% sampel memiliki tingkat pemahaman yang cukup terhadap materi, 12% sampel memiliki tingkat pemahaman baik, 8% sampel memiliki tingkat sangat kurang pemahaman materi dan hanya 2% sampel yang memiliki tingkat pemahaman sangat baik terhadap teori gerak lurus yang diajarkan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa peserta di SMAN 1 Muaro Jambi memiliki tingkat pemahaman yang kurang terhadap Teori gerak lurus yang diajarkan dan dipelajari. Kebaruan/Originalitas penelitian: Pemahaman yaitu kemampuan seseorang untuk memahami atau memahami sesuatu setelah sesuatu yang diketahui atau diingat, termasuk kemampuan menangkap makna dari makna materi yang dipelajari, yang dinyatakan dengan menguraikan pohon isi dari sesuatu bacaan, atau mengubah data yang disajikan dalam bentuk tertentu ke bentuk lain.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study was to determine the results of the teacher's response to the use of web-based assessment as a medium for assessing student attitudes towards science subjects. Methodology: This research uses quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study were all teachers of MTsN 8 Muaro Jambi and SMPN 30 Muaro Jambi. The sample of this study was taken using a total sampling technique of 38 people. The research instrument used was a non-test instrument in the form of a user response questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. Main Findings: From the research that has been done, it is found that teachers at MTsN 8 Muaro Jambi have a very good response with a percentage of 68.18%, while users (teachers) at SMPN 30 Muaro Jambi have a good response to the use of web-based assessment used to assessing students' attitudes towards science subjects with a percentage of 68.75%. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study is to analyze the teacher's response to the use of web-based assessments to assess students' attitudes towards science subjects. This is because the analysis of user responses with a sample of educators (teachers) especially in the use of web-based assessments used to assess students' attitudes towards science subjects has not been carried out. Therefore, this research will complement the previous research.
