Abstract

This research tries to explain Indonesia’s effort in the South China Sea conflict resolution process. The South China Sea conflict can lead to regional instability. Indonesia can’t directly resolve the conflict because Indonesia is not a claimaint state. But, Indonesia can encourage claimant states to resolve their conflicts peacefully. As the largest country in ASEAN, Indonesia has an obligation to maintain the stability of the region. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection technique through interview and literature study. The results concluded that Indonesia's efforts in establishing the situation through confidence buiding measures and cooperation has been able to dampen the source of conflict and keep the region stable. Indonesia has managed conflict even though it is still very far from the possibility of conflict resolution.

Abstract

Corporate social responsibility is an obligation that must be fulfilled by every company so that it can have a good impact on the community in the surrounding environment, PT Syams Arief Shumun is a subsidiary engaged in the processing of oil palm and natural resource processing in Kampar Regency. This company has 3 community-based CSR programs, first, Economic Empowerment. Second, Environmental Empowerment and Third, Social Empowerment. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and data collection through observation, interviews and literature studies related to CSR and community empowerment, informant determination techniques through purposive sampling and data analysis using data triangulation.

Abstract

Jokowi focus their governments to make Indonesia as the pivot of the maritime world greeted well considering Indonesia is a country that is two-thirds of the area consists of resource-rich waters and kelautan. Indonesia consists of 92 outer islands and 31 of them inhabited. As stated by Sukarno, in one of his speeches, Indonesia will become a strong nation if it has the ability or marine waters were strong, maritime shaft also have the same goal. This thesis discusses discusses the strategies and policies that have been planned by the government to make Indonesia as a maritime shaft. Jokowi as the pivot of the world's maritime evidenced by forming ministries coordinate their work and concentrated in maritime terms. Creating a strong quality of human resources in the field of maritime pariisata both capabilities in innovation and adaptation in the face of change, work culture and concepts to be implemented.

Abstract

This research tried to describe the propaganda made by United States against North Korea through a movie entitled The Interview. The movie Interview. The movue despict how the communist state of North Korea is very closed and anti to foreign countries eventually want to do an interview with the president of North Korea. In the film The Interview United States producing films on large-General for the state of North Korea, where the United States and North Korea opposites in many ways, both in terms of economics, ideology, and the perception of the public, even in the use of nuclear weapons. The theory used in this research is to analyze the theory of discourse analysis Norman Fairclough, to understand the views of experts on the analysis of discourse, the concept of propaganda techniques according to the experts to understand the propaganda. By using interviews with respondents drawn by profession, this study uses analysis of the interview, the general condition of the two countries, critical discourse analysis, and examined the scene and its relevance to theories and concepts used. The overall results were obtained that the film is a propaganda film The Interview United States against North Korea, one of the film's release purpose is to divert North Korea at the same time prevent North Korea did not attack the United States with nuclear weapons.

Abstract

The research purpose determines that consumers preferences for online and offline shopping at different shopping experience and determine products which choose consumers for online and offline shopping at different shopping experience. The research uses qualitative descriptive analysis obtained from the result of questionnaire through interviews with the respondent based on categories of some profession who have done shopping online or offline in Medan City. The finding of the research shows Mean Ratings of the people choose the shopping attributes such as Enjoy Shopping, Shop Quickly, Large Selection and Best Price by online shopping while the shopping attributes such as See-Touch Handle, Personal Service, Speedy Delivery and No-hassle Exchange by offline shopping. The products such as Airlines Tickets, Clothes, Elektronics Products, Health and Grooming, and other products (Shoes, Bags, Scarfs, Wallets, Accessories, Foods, Movie Vouchers and Underwear) consumers choose by online shopping. In the other hand, the people choose offline shop the products such as Books, CDs, Computer Software and Sporting Goods. The correlation value is 0.937 for the search stages and purchase stages, it means thathas the significant correlation value when the consumers choose the online and offline shopping with value of signification 0.01.

Abstract

Before becoming a republic, Turkey was the last Islamic dynasty called the Ottoman Turks. The territory of the Ottoman Turks was very broad which made it a force respected by the international community, especially European countries. The technological advances that occurred in Europe were not in line with what happened in the Ottoman Turks which resulted in this sultanate becoming weak and left behind from more advanced European countries. Moving on from situations and conditions like this, a military officer who had a sense of nationalism came and initiated a republic to replace the Islamic government system which was considered old-fashioned and unable to bring the country into progress like European countries. This desire finally manifested itself through various means of struggle and movement which was quite long and led him to become the first leader of the Republic of Turkey which he formed.

Abstract

The issue of human trafficking is now more pronounced as the government's efforts to eradicate crime are considered to be minimal and less effective. Protection of citizens is absolutely essential because it is a state obligation, but besides that there needs to be cooperation between non-state actors in international world to guarantee the creation of human security. Due to the large number of human trafficking cases in Southeast Asia, encouraging ASEAN countries to establish ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) in 2009 in Cambodia. Therefore, this study aims to determine the basis of the establishment of ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR), and to know the role of ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AIHCR) on the handling of trafficking in Indonesia. The research was conducted by using qualitative method with normative approach. The results show that AICHR was formed with six main objectives: 1) Promoting and protecting human rights and the right of freedom of ASEAN nation. 2) To uphold ASEAN peoples' right to live in peace, dignity and prosperity, 3) To realize the objectives of ASEAN organizations as stipulated in the Charter: to maintain stability and harmony in the region while maintaining friendship and cooperation among ASEAN members; 4) Promoting human rights in At the regional level while maintaining the characteristics, historical, cultural and religious differences of each country, as well as maintaining a balance of rights and obligations, 5) Promoting regional cooperation through complementary national and international efforts to promote and protect human rights; ) Upholding the international human rights principles embodied in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Vienna Declaration and its implementation program, and other human rights instruments, in which ASEAN members are parties. The role of AICHR in the handling of human trafficking is to conduct consultation, coordination and collaboration with all 3 ASEAN communities: 1) ASEAN Political and Security Community, 2) ASEAN Economic Community, and 3) ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community.

Abstract

This study tried to decipher the facts about Indonesia's foreign policy towards the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty. In Indonesia the nuclear nonproliferation treaty has been signed since the beginning of the emergence of this agreement. Indonesia with the principle of free and active political uphold international security. As related to Indonesia's foreign policy, there are three alternative policies that can be taken by Indonesia to the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty that is being proactive by ratifying the treaty, the second is a policy alternative abstained or even a third policy alternative is a nuclear nonproliferation treaty by refusing to participate did not ratify this agreement. The theory used to explain the problems is the theory of foreign policy rational choice theory. To see more clearly that the actions or measures taken related to nuclear nonproliferation Indonesia state of rationality that is not only internationally but also think about the interests of national interest. By using literature as a primary method of data collection, this study relies on the analysis of data obtained from books, journals, magazines, newspapers and internet sites and their relevance to the theory used. Indonesia's Foreign Policy related indicators of national interests that Indoneisa always the national interest in international level. Associated with national capabilities, in this study found that Indonesia has not found the domestic political framework that is relatively permanent, which is relatively permanent when domestic politics, this is the best to build national capabilities as the basis for the implementation of free and active foreign policy that is more solid. Related to diplomacy that in the era of democratization and globalization implementation of foreign relations and diplomacy is no longer a government.

Abstract

Writing is about how the role of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the food security in Indonesia. Food security to be studied in this thesis, in which Indonesia is a rich agricultural country in natural resources and the majority of the population are farmers impossible feels when food security is threatened. Food security includes not only understanding the availability of adequate food, but also the ability to access the food and not the food dependence on any party. When you view the current state of Indonesian food, the amount of the transfer of agricultural land that makes the reduced agricultural products in Indonesia. Abstract

This study aims to determine how the control exercised over the military post of the new order. This study also uses descriptive method, using the historical approach will be discussed how the civilian control of the military post of the new order by using some theories, such as civil, military, civil-military relations and military orientation. Civilian control carried out against the military can be seen from the new paradigm shift military that contains redefenisi, repositioning and restructuring, then control over the military through its policies and relations civilian agencies and the military that took place during the reform such as the legislature, bureaucracy and political parties. The military paradigm shift leads to the enforcement of civil supremacy that change systematically and gradually, where the military is no longer involved in practical politics of national, work assignment abolish the military in civilian institutions and returned to the barracks as part of military professionalism. In addition, the civil administration after the new order also perform consistency for the establishment of civilian supremacy, in which the government minimize the role of the military in national politics as the policy of the Act No. 34 of 2004 which eliminates the military's involvement in the legislative body. Civilian control of the military is done after the new order does two control is to control the subjective control and control of the control objective.
