Abstract

Stress is one of psychological reactions that has been experienced by college students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The level of stress can be affecting their psychological well-being. Previous studies show there is a significant relationship between emotional regulation and stress, also psychological well-being. A high level of stress will be declining psychological well-being. On the other hand, emotional regulation has proven to be reducing stress level as well as maintaining the condition of psychological well-being. Emotional regulation strategies are defined as the way individuals influence, feel, and express their emotions. The strategies divided into two which are cognitive reappraisal and expressive suppression. This study aims to examine the effects of expressive suppression and cognitive reappraisal regulatory strategies as a moderator between stres and psychological well-being. A total of 119 first-year students of Universitas Indonesia in 2020 were involved in this research. Stres was measured using the Perceived Stress Scale-10 for COVID-19 (PSS-10-C); emotion regulation were measured using the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ); and psychological well-being was measured using Ryff's Scales of Psychological Well-being (RPWB). The results showed that (1) stress can be a significant predictor of psychological well-being; (2) expressive suppression as an emotional regulatory strategy is significant in strengthening the negative relationship between stress and psychological well-being; (3) on the other side, cognitive reappraisal strategy is significant in weakening the negative relationship between stress and psychological well-being.

Abstract

Mental health includes one’s ability to adjust themselves with the daily stres they experience. On stresful event, there’s always highly emotional condition attached, therefore the ability to regulate emotions becomes vital. Emotional Agility is one’s ability to face emotions, thoughts loosely and move past them to help change or retain behaviors in line with goal and values . In Indonesia, research regarding Emotional Agility and it’s measurement hasn’t been explored much. The instrument are designed based on Emotional Agility theory–Susan David and being tried out to 112 respondents (young adult individuals). The validity test being used pertains to Construct Validity, using model testing Confirmatory Factor Analysis. Reliability test are done using Alpha Cronbach technique. Based on the try out, an instrument of Emotional Agility in Indonesian Version is produced consisting 49 items (p-value=1.00, RMSEA=0.00, CFI=0.97, NFI=0.97, IFI=0.97 and reliability coefficient of 0.860).

Abstract

Abstract

These problems inhibit the recovery process of rehabilitation members from using drugs. Member of rehabilitation need to improve self-control in order to maximize the recovery process during the rehabilitation and be able to maintain the behavior not to relapse using drugs after rehabilitation. Several studies show that mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) is effective in increasing self-control. This study aims to examine the effect of mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) training to improve self-control in members of the Rumah Sehat Orbit Surabaya (RSOS). The research method used is experiment. Participants in this study were 11 people. Participants scores will be compare before and after the intervention is given. Based on the result of this research through comparative test, the significance results of 0.004 (<0.05) on self-control and 0.011 (<0.05) on mindfulness. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to test the validity and reliability, as well as to test the aspects that can form the job satisfaction variables which are compiled based on the Spector theory. Job satisfaction is measured based on nine aspects, pay, promotion, fringe benefits, rewards, supervision, work procedures, co-workers, nature of work, and communication. The subjects of this study were 86 teachers of SMK Muhammadiyah in Yogyakarta. The scale was compiled using a semantic differential scaling model and the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through the SmartPLS 3.0 program. The results showed that all aspects were able to reflect job satisfaction variables. The dominant aspect is the aspect of supervision with a loading factor value of 0.798. While the weak aspect is the aspect of the nature of the job with a loading factor value of 0.612.

Abstract

Research on self-efficacy is hotly discussed, especially in this time of pandemic. As for knowing the high or low self-efficacy, a valid and reliable measuring instrument is needed. The purpose of this study was to develop a teacher self-efficacy scale using SEM modeling based on Bandura's theory. The aspects of self-efficacy that are used as a reference for making measuring instruments consist of level, strength, and generality. The study was conducted on 100 Vocational High School teachers. The measuring instrument is arranged using the Likert model. The validity and reliability test used the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) approach with the help of PLS 3.29 software. The results showed that the self-efficacy measurement tool was declared valid and reliable because all items from the dimensions were able to reflect the 110 constructs that were formed. This measuring instrument is also declared valid and reliable where there are 12 items that have fallen out of the 30 items submitted.

Abstract

This research was conducted to test the construct validity of hatred. This research uses two hatred dimensions from Halperin et al., (2012), namely chronic hatred and immediate hatred with a total of 13 items. Data obtained from 361 students of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The analytical method used in this study is Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with the help of the lisrel program. The results of this study indicate that all items are unidimensional. This means that all items only measure one factor so that the one-factor model theorized in the hatred can be accepted.
