Abstract

At first, farmers in Gabusbanaran Village who worked as farmers worked on rice, corn, and seasonal crops. Along with the times, and the condition of the soil that is getting less and less fertile, and the pests that continue to attack the farmers' rice fields, although efforts have been made to eradicate the pests, the pests that are continuously given pesticides become resistant. Facing such a thing, the service implementer wishes to increase human resources and use the existing land in order to realize the socio-economic independence of the Gabusbanaran Village community. Community service activities are carried out using participatory methods for the target group, in this case the PKK group, IPNU & IPPNU youth in Gabusbanaran Village and the surrounding community. Here, the service implementer acts as a facilitator and guide for the target group to jointly carry out the planned activities. The method used is through training, demonstrations of making plant cultivation through hydroponics. The conclusion of community service activities, with this hydroponic plant cultivation training, the people of Gabusbanaran Village are increasingly skilled and creative in making hydroponics.

Abstract

Orchid is one type of ornamental flower plant that has many types spread throughout the world, including Indonesia. The original habitat of orchids is forests or areas that have high humidity, rich in organic matter. Reduction of forest area makes several types of orchids threatened with extinction so that efforts are needed for conservation and protection. Motilango pine forest tourism found several types of orchids, but the surrounding community did not know the prospect of orchid plants if they were developed properly. The purpose of the activity is to educate the local community and tourism managers to cultivate orchids to become a source of family income. The method used is discourse method and discussion. Participants consist of communities around the area, village officials and pine forest tourism managers. The material presented consisted of an introduction to the characteristics of orchids, prospects, methods of propagation and cultivation of orchids. The result of the activity is that there is an increase in participant knowledge about orchid plants. There are two types of orchids that are commonly found in the tourist area of Motilango pine, namely the dove orchid (Dendrobium crumenatum) and the ground orchid (Spathoglottis plicata) which are easily propagated by separating seedlings. Orchid growing media that is widely available in the area is coconut husk.

Abstract

Wongsorejo village have amount of agricultural and livestock potential. Livestock sector were able to produce cow waste product that can be used as a source of organic fertilizer. The survey results in agriculture potential, showed that the farmers of Wongsorejo Village were trying to switch to organic fertilizers and want to become an independent village of fertilizers. So the purpose of this PKM activity were the utilization of cow waste product into BOKASHI fertilizer as a source of organic fertilizer. This activity were divided into five stages, which were survey, socialization, training on making bokashi fertilizer, training on the mixer machine application and mentoring. PKM activities have a positive impact on the people of Wongsorejo Village, the community were able to produce fertilizer independently, the community gets a mixer machine for product efficiency and the community has a network and work organization in order to increase the fertilizer production.

Abstract

Iler or jewer kotok is known as an ornamental plant because it has an attractive color and shape, but the research reported that the Iler extracts have secondary metabolite compounds that are beneficial for health recovery, especially relieving wounds, fever, and coughs. In addition, Iler extract can also be an organic insecticide for horticultural crops. The reported of Iler should be cultivated in the yard or agricultural land as an insert between the main crops. The purpose of this activity is to disseminate the benefits, propagation techniques, and processing of Iler into herbs to the symptoms of COVID-19 with the agricultural extension. The results of the benefit extension activities, propagation techniques, and processing of Iler parts for herbs were an understanding and increased knowledge about the benefits of leaf, cultivation techniques, and the stages of young stems for herbs.

Abstract

This service activity to optimize the suitability of mushroom cultivation land on cocopeat media was carried out in the community in Sumber Urip, Selupu Rejang District, Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province. This community service activity aims to provide knowledge and practice of oyster mushroom cultivation on cocopeat media to optimize land suitability and improve the economy of the community, especially those in Sumber Urip. This service is carried out by the method of providing material related to mushroom cultivation on cocopeat media in the form of discussions and questions and answers as well as the practice of oyster mushroom cultivation procedures at the inoculation stage in the community of Sumber Urip Village. The tools and materials used in this service have been provided previously from the community service team. in collaboration with the Dangau Datuk Agribusiness Vocational School, Bengkulu City, namely baglog, seeds, masks, alcohol, spatulas, spirit, and rubber bands. The results obtained from this activity are an increase in the knowledge and interest of the people of Sumber Urip Atas in mushroom cultivation with cocopeat media and it is hoped that the enthusiasm of the community to continue this cultivation to produce quality oyster mushrooms and continue to other types of household businesses..

Abstract

Limbah adalah buangan yang dihasilkan dari suatu proses produksi baik industri maupun domestik. Desa Tampingmojo Tambelang Jombang memiliki area persawahan yang ditanami jagung. Dengan banyaknya persawahan yang menanam pohon jagung, bisa dipastikan bahwa limbah pertanian berupa bonggol jagung yang dihasilkan juga akan banyak. Briket merupakan padatan berpori yang mengandung karbon yang dihasilkan dari bahan-bahan yang mengandung karbon dengan pemanasan pada suhu tinggi. Tujuan dibuatnya briket dari bonggol jagung adalah untuk mengurangi limbah pertanian berupa bonggol jagung sehingga limbah bonggol jagung yang terbuang dapat terkurangi dengan dibuatnya briket bonggol jagung.

Abstract

Agriculture is an important foundation in the fulfillment of food commodities. Meeting household food needs is an important foundation for achieving food security. However, not all people in Tampingmojo Village, Tembelang District, Jombang Regency have agricultural land to be able to meet their food needs, especially agricultural land in Tampingmojo Village has decreased since the construction of the Mojokerto - Kertosono toll road, so that the supply of food commodities such as vegetables and fish depends on supplies from outside the village. Tampingmojo. Aquaponics is a solution for food security for the Tampingmojo village community. This community service purpose to introduce Aquaponics Technology to the Tampingmojo village community by utilizing available local resources. The targeted community for this activity is a group of PKK women and Karang Taruna youth in the village of Tampingmojo. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) which is carried out in 3 stages, there are preparation, implementation and evaluation. The results of the evaluation showed that 80% of the post-test questions could be answered by participants and the delivery of simple aquaponic technology materials was well received and could be applied with the available resources in Tampingmojo village.

Abstract

Stroberi merupakan salah satu buah dengan nilai ekonomi yang tinggi serta memiliki banyak manfaat, selain dapat dijual secara langsung buah stroberi juga dapat dijadikan sebagai destinasi wisata, salah satunya wisata petik stroberi yang berada di Desa Pandanrejo, Batu. Di tangan ibu-ibu Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Melati Putri buah stroberi di sulap menjadi berbagai olahan pangan. Melalui riset yang mendalam, tim MBKM Membangun Desa membuat inovasi pembuatan olahan pangan baru berbahan dasar stroberi. Pada tanggal 24 November 2021 tim MBKM Membangun Desa dibantu dua orang instruktur masak melaksanakan kegiatan demonstrasi pembuatan olahan pangan baru secara langsung yang diikuti oleh Ibu-Ibu Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Melati Putri Desa Pandanrejo. Adapun hasil dari kegiatan demonstrasi yakni berupa olahan pie susu stroberi. Harapannya dengan dilaksanakannya prorgam ini masyarakat bisa terus mengembangkan inovasi-inovasi baru terutama terkait pemanfaatan buah stroberi yang merupakan produk unggulan dari Desa Pandanrejo, namun tidak menutup kemungkinan bagi masyarakat untuk mengolah produk dari bahan dasar yang lain.

Abstract

Jamur adalah satu bahan pangan yang banyak diminati masyarakat adaah jamur, ada berbagai jenis jamur yang banyak di konsumsi masyarakat. Mulai dari jamur enoki, jamur kuping, jamur tiram dll. Jamur tiram merupakan jenis jamur yang sering dikonsumsi karena mengandung berbagai vitamin di dalamnya. Dalam jamur tiram setidaknya mengandung mineral, kalium karbohidrat dan juga vitamin B. Selain memiliki banyak kandungan, jamur tiram memiliki rasa yang cukup enak jika di konsumsi maka tak heran jika saat ini mulai banyak yang membudidayakan jamur tiram, karena meliki nilai ekonomis yang cukup tinggi. Selain itu teknik dan tahapan yang diperlukan dalam budidaya jamur tergolong tidak terlalu sulit. Untuk itu salah satu program yang dipilih untuk meningkatkan kreatifitas dan kemampuan mahasiswa KKN adalah dengan pelatihan budidaya jamur. Langkah dalam pelatihan teknis budidaya jamur tiram dimulai dengan menyiapkan bahan baku seperti serbuk gergaji, bekatul, kapur, plastik. Setelah semua bahan siap selanjutnya proses produksi
