FOCUS AND SCOPE Enggang adalah jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Enggang dipilih sebagai nama jurnal ini karena kehidupan masyarakat Kalimantan Tengah tidak jauh dari alam, termasuk kedekatannya pada burung yang bernama enggang. Burung enggang merupakan simbol kebesaran dan kemuliaan suku Dayak di Kalimantan Tengah. Burung enggang juga melambangkan perdamaian dan persatuan, sayapnya yang tebal melambangkan pemimpin yang selalu melindungi rakyatnya. Ekor panjangnya dianggap sebagai tanda kemakmuran rakyat suku Dayak. Kaitannya dengan jurnal ini, tidak lain adalah mengambil makna filosofis kebesaran burung enggang agar jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya ini, nantinya menjadi besar yang akan dikenal secara lokal, nasional, dan internasional. Jurnal Enggang sebagai jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya merupakan salah satu wadah untuk mengumpulkan dan melestarikan kekayaan kita yang tidak ternilai harganya. Tentunya kekayaan yang berhubungan dengan pendidikan bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Jurnal ini hadir untuk siapa saja yang mencintai dan ingin berkarya di bidang pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Selain itu, kami sebagai pengurus jurnal ini bersedia memberikan bimbingan dan pelatihan untuk siapa saja yang ingin maju dan berkompeten dalam hal menulis karya fiksi maupun nonfiksi. Melalui bimbingan dan pelatihan pasti gairah menulis para calon pendidik, para pendidik, dan para pecinta pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya bangkit dengan semangat membara. <![CDATA[This research aims to find out the validity of e-modules using Culturally Responsive Learning approach on the material of two variable linear equation systems. The research method used is research and development. This research use the development model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) however the researcher only conducted the research until the stage of Development due to the time limit in the manufacture of products and their validation. E-modul using Culturally Responsive Learning is validated by material expert and media expert. The result of the research shows that, the average assessment of material expert validation was obtained 93%, while validation of media expert 96%. Thus e-modules with a culturally responsive learning approach are well worth using.]]>

<![CDATA[The issue of tourism governance in Bah Koh Samed is very important to find a solution, so that tourists can have a good experience and local communities can utilize tourism as a sustainable source of income. Good governance involves an online ticketing system and digitalization strategies to strengthen the image of tourism. This case study focuses on finding alternatives to Koh Samed as a creative tourism destination that not only attracts more tourists but also restores Koh Samed sustainably. A new tourism model can be created with the development of digitalization technology for Koh Samed Bah Island operations ranging from ticket validation, ticketing solutions, ticket point of sale, voucher codes, communication, and partnership to increase visitors as well as revenue. Through increasing the attraction of art activities, it can be directly listed on the Koh Samed Bah Island website and links. Offer and develop creative spaces for Bah Koh Samed Island that need to increase the art network through digitalization management. The main object of this research focuses on the role of tourists, local communities, and stakeholders through digitization management, and the networking of each destination location by utilizing the arts and cultural ecosystem. This research method uses descriptive qualitative methods, data collection, interviews, and documentation. Data collection is not only by interacting with each other, but written and in-depth. Then automatic verification from each stakeholder will help answer the obstacles that exist during or before. Then proceed with data analysis which is used to answer research problems by testing hypotheses through the data that has been obtained. Data analysis instruments use SWOT analysis as an initial basis for knowing weaknesses and strengths. Then in-depth analysis to increase visitors through increasing the attraction of art activities and developing digitalization technology.]]>

<![CDATA[This study uses literature as a research object, which contains all kinds of social phenomena in it. The purpose of this study is to describe the moral values contained in the novel A for Amanda by Annisa Ihsani and to describe the moral values in the novel A for Amanda by Annisa Ihsani as teaching material for class XI high school students. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques, observing and noting. From this research, it was found that there are forms of moral values in novel A for Amanda, namely 1) forms of moral values of human relations with God, 2) forms of moral values of human relations with oneself, 3) forms of moral values of human relations with other humans in the social sphere and the natural environment. The form of moral values is utilized in the content of teaching materials contained in KD 3.11 analyzing messages from a read fiction book. The conclusions obtained by Novel A for Amanda can be used as teaching materials for basic competency 3.11. analyze the message of a fiction book read.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the values of character education in the novel Ayah by Andrea Hirata. This research is focused on analyzing the values of religious character education and hard work in the novel Ayah. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. The value of character education is an effort made so that a person can grow and live together with other people. The data source for this research is the novel Ayah by Andrea Hirata. The data collection technique for this research is document or text study. The data analysis technique for this research is analysis. Checking the validity of findings is a technique of persistence. The results of data analysis show that religious values in the novel Ayah by Andrea Hirata are expressed by the author in words that show attitudes and behaviors that draw closer to God, are grateful for all that God has given and understand all forms of gifts and are obedient in carrying out the religion they adhere to. Meanwhile, the results of data analysis in the form of the value of hard work are expressed by the author by showing the character trying earnestly in working hard.]]>

<![CDATA[Personality includes all thoughts, feelings, behavior, consciousness and unconsciousness. Personality guides people to. adapt to the social and physical environment. Psychology behaviorism is a science that studies human personality by controlling emotions in humans. This control is carried out by controlling oneself towards positive things, or making positive decisions for the future as needed. The novel Hati Suhita is one of Khilma Anis's works in which it describes the journey of the meaning of love along with the attachment of faith, expresses social reality clearly about the relationship between two people, the relationship with parents, and the relationship with God and all are attached to the personality of a character so that they still maintain so that love does not turn into a mistake. In this regard, this study will discuss how the main character's stimulus in the novel Hati Suhita by Khilma Anis. Stimulus is a stimulus from outside the individual that is happening to humans and forming a behavior in humans. Stimulus occurs because of several variables that exist in the surrounding environment. The data in this study are a series of paragraphs, sentences, monologues, and dialogues in the novel. Data collection techniques in this study used library research techniques and data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive analytic techniques.]]>

<![CDATA[Education has essential role in delivering knowledge that makes society have broad insight. It can awaken society to move forward and awaken from backwardness. The language has essential role to demand the optimal effort in learning Indonesian at school, especially for senior high school. The technology development influences society’s life style and bring to the digital world. The purpose of the research is to improve the students’ speaking skill and make them love the local wisdom through media and teaching material ethnobotanical digital poster in the form of offers in literature performance as Indonesian teaching material with local wisdom base in improving tenth grade students’ speaking skill at SMK Darul Ulum 1 Peterongan Jombang. The problems are: how does the tenth-grade students’ speaking skill improvement process at SMK Darul Ulum 1 Peterongan Jombang through ethnobotanical digital media in the form of offers in literature performance of Jidor sentulan and how does the result of tenth grade students’ speaking improvement at SMK Darul Ulum 1 Peterongan Jombang through the form of offers in literature performance of Jidor sentulan. The research method uses action classroom research with two cycles. The data source of research are 17 students in the accountant department. The data show that there are 5 students who have low score based on the pre observation and the score is below the passing grade. The action class treatment is given to 17 students to improve the students’ speaking skill in the accountant class. The research result through teacher’s lesson plan in cycle I shows 85% of the students is enthusiastic and 95% of the students in cycle II of 17 students in accountant class can present their work in front of class. Besides, they want to introduce the developing culture in the original place by creating creative and innovative posters. The appearance of competitive and self-confidence feeling in speaking. The students show that they have positive impact in learning activities.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to provide an overview of the "Songgot" tradition in the people of Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra. The Tanjung Balai community is a pluralistic society that still holds the "Songgot" tradition for certain events. Therefore, this tradition needs logistics, in this case the food that must be provided. The focus of the problem that the author wants to convey in this research is the "Songgot" tradition, which, like the obligatory tradition in the Tanjung Balai community, requires the role of "sembako" traders for the nine basic commodities of society. Where everyone wants to make this tradition must be served food. The methodology in this study the authors use quantitative. Which performs data analysis with static procedures and systematic modeling and literature review analysis. The results of this study indicate that the "Songgot" tradition in the Tanjung Balai community has an influence on the income of traders in the Tanjung Balai city market. The traders in Tanjung balai have a significant impact on this tradition because their wares sell high with many people making this "Songgot" tradition event which affects the income of traders.]]>

<![CDATA[The value of nationalism can be contained in a literary work because it is part of the social reality in society. This study aims to determine the forms of meaning based on the semiotic lexis according to Roland Barthes. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques, observing and noting. Through the character Nadir in the novel Titik Nadir, the true life of students is revealed, not only academic problems but the influence of the students themselves in the life of the nation. The analysis carried out by researchers using Roland Barthes' semiotic theory in the novel Titik Nadir includes; (1) hermeneutic code, (2) semic code (connotative code); (3) symbolic code (4) preoretic code (action code), (5) gnomic (cultural) code. The value of nationalism in this novel is repeatedly represented in student activities such as demonstrations and the important incident, Anger Makassar.]]>

<![CDATA[Culture is a system that lives in society and covers all aspects of human life, from the way of life to the way of thinking. Humans, as creatures who are cultured and knowledgeable, produce literature as a form of expression that expresses reality in writing using elements of beauty. All the treasures of human culture are always based on philosophy or philosophy which is used as the basis and means to achieve true truth. This study aims to analyze the depiction of culture in a novel through the perspective of feminist philosophy and evaluate whether the portrayal of women in social life still occupies an inferior position. This study uses a qualitative approach with a focus on the discourse analysis of the novel, with the aim of describing how women are portrayed in the story and how they are perceived by society. From the results of the research and analysis conducted, it is found that the women in this novel are able to show their freedom, courage, strength, and struggle. However, there are still narratives showing the weakness of women. Nevertheless, the men in the novel recognize that women have an important role in social life and should not be considered as second-class human beings.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the use of figure of speech contained in a short story entitled “Broken and Bleeding Taste” Karrya Nian Khurotul Asma. Research examining the use of figure of speech has been carried out by several researchers. This research method is a qualitative descriptive method with the results in the form of narrative data according to the approach used. Based on the data collected, it contains several language styles (majas), namely of which there are 5 personification majas, there are 4 metaphors, there is only 1 allegory, there is 1 smile and there is 1 satire.]]>
