Abstract

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder in the airway. The peak expiratory flow rate is one of the human lung function tests used to assess the ability of lung function and provide an image of the airway disorder. This study aims to determine the effect of Buteyko’s respiratory technique on peak expiratory flow rate in asthma patients. The type of research is Pre-Experimental Design with One-Group Pretest-Posttest using purposive sampling. The sample size is 22 people. The patient's peak expiratory flow rate is measured using a peak flow meter. The results of peak expiratory flow rate of the patient tested using paired t- test. The results showed that the peak expiratory flow rate prior to Buteyko’s respiratory technique of 75.764%, and after given breathing Buteyko's breathing techniques, peak expiratory flow rate of patients showed an increase to equal to 79.986%. Based on the results of the research, the value of ρ-value = 0.000 alpha (0,05), it can be concluded that there is influence of giving respiratory technique Buteyko can increase the peak expiratory flow rate in asthma patient. It is expected that the hospital to consider implementing Buteyko's breathing techniques for asthma patients.

This type of research is non-experimental with a correlational research design with aapproach retrospective using a purposive sampling technique. The number of samples is 108 people. The results of the study used thetest Spearman rank and obtained a value of p = 0,000 p value α (0.05). This means that there is an association of anemia in pregnancies with neonatal asphyxia levels in maternity in Wangaya Hospital in 2019, the r value of 0.705 shows a strong correlation between the variables of anemia in pregnancy with neonatal asphyxia in maternity. The correlation coefficient value is positive, indicating the more mild anemia in pregnancy, the lighter the level of neonatal asphyxia in maternity in Wangaya Hospital in 2019.

Abstract

Chronic hyperglycemia in diabetes mellitus nonenzymatic glycosylation and excessive glucose to intracellular diffusion leads to structural abnormalities and capillary function as well as peripheral nerve injury. Nerve cell injury and supported by capillary dysfunction lead to neuropathy. Sensory neuropathy results in decreased leg sensation that is easily injured. Recovery of neuropathy is done by improving blood circulation repairing peripheral nerves. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of diabetic foot spa on foot sensation in diabetics. The study was conducted with pre test post test with control group design on 45 people divided into 25 people into treatment group and 20 men men in the control group taken with simple random technique at Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat 2017. Treatment group given treatment in the form of diabetic foot spa covers gymnastics foot, foot soak and massage with VCO for 4 weeks, while the control group get foot exercises done by puskesmas.
