Abstract

The objectives of the research were: (1) to describe the steps in the implementation of concept mapping as learning strategy, (2) to improve social science learning outcomes in the theme of wonderful diversity in my country, and (3) to describe the obstacles and solutions in the implementation of concept mapping as learning strategy.The research was a collaborative classroom action research. The types of data were qualitative data and quantitative data. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and tests.The results of the research indicated that: (1) the steps in the implementation of concept mapping as learning strategy were: a) the teacher explained concept mapping as learning strategies to the students, b) the students worked in small groups, c) the students expressed the ideas, d) the students determined the main concepts, e) the teacher guided the students to create concept maps, f) the students presented the results of the discussion, g) the teacher provided feedback, h) the students summarized the lesson, i) the students made evaluation; (2) the implementation of the concept mapping as learning strategy improved students’ learning outcomes, (3) the obstacle was some students disturbed other groups during group discussions. The solution to overcome the obstacle was the teacher walked over to the students and gave a reprimand.

Abstract

Abstract:The study aimed: (1) to describe the steps of PBL with model materials, (2) to improve mathematics, and (3) to describe the constraints and solutions. It was a collaborative classroom action research (CAR) carried out in three cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were teachers and 20 students. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and tests. Data analysis included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: (1) the steps to the application of PBL with model materials to improve mathematics about solid figures to fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Danasri in academic year of 2019/2020 were: (a) examining problem orientation with the model materials, (b) preparing the students to work in groups, (c) having the students to investigate individually or in groups with the help of model materials, (d) having presentation and discussion by using model materials; (e) analyzing and evaluating  problem solving process with the help of model materials; (2) the application of PBL with model materials improved mathematics about solid figures. The average percentages of mastery learning were 85% in the first cycle, 90% in the second cycle, and 95% in the third cycle: (3) obstacles in each meeting were (a) a few students used the model materials as tools while learning process and having group discussions, (b) a few students asked questions. The solutions were: (a) the teacher introduced the model materials, (b) the teacher stimulated the students to ask questions.

Abstract

Penggunaan metode belajar yang kurang tepat dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas kadang menjadi salah satu sebab kurang semangatnya siswa dalam mengikuti pelajaran di kelas yang menyebabkan tidak bisa maksimalnya hasil belajar  siswa.  Hal ini seperti yang terjadi di dalam pembelajaran ciri-ciri khusus makhluk hidup pada  siswa kelas VI di salah satu sekolah dasar  negeri  di Wonogiri semester 1 tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Hasil ulangan pada ciri  - ciri  khusus makhluk hidup siswa kelas VI Sekolah Dasar Negeri tersebut diperoleh  nilai  8 siswa di atas KKM dengan jumlah prosentasi pencapaian KKM 38% siswa, dan  13 siswa masih berada di bawah KKM dengan prosentasi 62 % siswa  masih dibawah KKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mengetahui: Apakah pembelajaran Kooperatif Informations Search dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA pada kompetensi Mengidentifikasi Cara Perkembangbiakan Hewan Dan Tumbuhan pada siswa kelas VI  tahun Pelajaran 2017/ 2018. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri atas 2 siklus. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VI SD  tahun 201&/2018 sebanyak 21 siswa. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis diskriptif  komparatif dengan  membandingkan kondisi awal dengan hasil-hasil yang dicapai pada setiap siklus, dan analisis deskriptif kualitatif hasil observasi dengan membandingkan hasil observasi dan refleksi pada siklus I dan siklus II. Dengan penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif Informations Search (KIS) pada kompetensi perkembangbiakan makhluk hidup tumbuhan dan hewan pada siswa kelas VI SD tahun Pelajaran 2017/ 2018. Pada akhir  siklus II diketahui telah terjadi peningkatan rata-rata kelas 78 %, yaitu dari rata- rata tes kondisi awal 57,14 menjadi 84,28.Sedangkan ketuntasan belajar siswa ada peningkatan  dari kondisi awal yang sudah tuntas hanya 8 siswa menjadi 21 siswa.  Dengan demikian  sebagian besar siswa kelas V I SD  mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar pada kompetensi Mengidentifikasi Caa Perkembangbiakan Hewan Dan Tumbuhan pada siswa kelas VI SD tahun Pelajaran 2017/ 2018.

Abstract

Habit formed character, for instance: the habit of lining-up. The study aimed to describe the habit of lining up and to describe the habit of lining up to form discipline character. It was qualitative with a narrative approach. The procedures of the study were: 1) doing observation, 2) analyzing problem, 3) having problem statement, 4) doing research, 5) analyzing data, and 6) having data validity. The result showed that the habit of lining up in SD Negeri 1 Kutosari worked well. It was proven by some indicators: (1) precise movement based on the rules, (2) firmness of leader when giving command, (3) neatness in lining up, (4) consistency in lining up, (5) enthusiasm in lining up, (6) resemblance of movement. The lining up applied every morning in all grades. The second grade students of SD Negeri 1 Kutosari had discipline character. They showed several indicators: (1) arrived on time, (2) paid attention to the lesson, (3) did the homework, (4) obeyed school rules, (5) obeyed teacher's advice, (6) wore school uniform, and (7) had flag ceremony quietly.Keywords: Habit, Lining up, Discipline

Abstract

The aims of the study were: (1) to describe the application of Resource Based Learning (RBL) model, (2) to improve natural sciences learning outcomes to the theme of my dreams, and (3) to describe the obstacles and solutions to the application of Resource Based Learning (RBL) model. The research is Collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR). It was conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The types of data were quantitative data and qualitative data. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and tests. The results of the study indicated that: (1) the steps of RBL model to improve natural sciences learning outcomes to the theme of my dreams involved: a) identifying learning topics, b) arranging how to find information, c) gathering information, d) applying information, e) synthesizing information, and f) doing evaluation; (2) the application of Resource Based Learning (RBL) model improved natural sciences learning outcomes to the theme of my dreams, (3) the constraints were the students had difficulty in asking questions and expressing their opinions while the solution was the teacher motivated the students to dare in asking questions and expressing opinions.

Abstract

AbstractThe study aimed to improve natural sciences learning outcomes to the 6th theme ‘heat transfer’ for fifth grade students through application of guided inquiry model with multimedia. It was a collaborative classroom action research conducted in three cycles. Types of data were quantitative data and qualitative data. The subjects were teachers and 30 students of fifth grade of SDN 2 Karangpoh in academic year of 2019/2020. Data collection techniques included test, observation, and interview. Data validity used data triangulation and source triangulation. Data analysis included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicates that the guided inquiry model with multimedia improves natural sciences learning outcomes to the 6th theme ‘heat transfer’ for fifth grade students of SDN 2 Karangpoh in academic year of 2019/2020.

Abstract

AbstrakMenyikapi kebutuhan pendidikan Abad 21, pemerintah melakukan penyempurnaan dalam sistem pendidikan nasional dengan memberlakukan Kurikulum 2013. Tujuan Penelitian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran IPS tema Indahnya Keragaman di Negeriku pada siswa kelas IV melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik dengan multimedia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif dengan tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas empat. Data yang digunakan adalah data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes, observasi, wawancara. Validasi data menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan triangulasi sumber. Analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu rata-rata ketuntasan hasil belajar IPS pada siklus I sebesar 72,4%, siklus II 81,03%, dan siklus III 89,6%. Kendala dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa belum berani mengajukan pertanyaan, adapun solusi dari kendala tersebut adalah guru memotivasi dan mendorong siswa agar berani untuk mengajukan pertanyaan. Berdasarkan analisis dan pembahasan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan saintifik dengan multimedia dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran IPS tema Indahnya Keragaman di Negeriku pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Karangpoh tahun ajaran 2019/2020.Kata kunci: pendekatan saintifik, multimedia, pembelajaran IPS.

Abstract

Abstract The objectives of the research were: (1) to describe the implementation of character education through 5 habits in SD Negeri 1 Kutosari, (2) to describe the implication of character values about 5 habits in SD Negeri 1 Kutosari, (3) to analyze the obstacles and solutions in implementing 5 habits in SD Negeri 1 Kutosari. The research used descriptive qualitative research. Type of data was qualitative data. The researcher described the analysis of character education implementation through 5 habits. Data collection techniques included observations, interviews, and qualitative questionnaires. The data validity technique was triangulation of source. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results showed that the implementation of 5 habits and the implementation of character values at school run well while the obstacle was the students failed to implement 5 habits at home. It affected the implementation of 5 habits at school.  The solution was the teachers supervised and managed the students to implement 5 habits consistently in daily life. It concludes that the implementation of character education through 5 habits run very well with cumulative presentation 96,2% and the obstacle was handled by the teachers.

Abstract

The study aimed to prove the positive effect of: (1) learning discipline on mathematics learning outcomes; (2) independence in learning on mathematics learning outcomes; (3) discipline and independence in learning on mathematics learning outcomes. The study used correlational method. Data analysis used simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that: first, there was positive effect between learning discipline and mathematics learning outcomes (tcount = 4.647> ttable = 1.652 and Sig. 0.000 <0.05). The coefficient of determination was 9%. The regression equation was Y = 1.621 + 0.054X1. Second, there was positive effect between independence in learning and mathematics learning outcomes (tcount = 6.941> ttable = 1.652 and Sig. 0.000 <0.05). The coefficient of determination was 18.1%. The regression equation was Y = -8,167 + 0.084X2. Third, there was positive effect between discipline and independence in learning on mathematics learning outcomes (Fcount = 24,559> Ftable = 19,491 and Sig. 0,000 <0.05). The coefficient of determination was 18.5%. The regression equation was Y = -9,367 + 0.013X1 + 0.075X2. It concludes that there is positive effect between discipline and independence in learning on mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students of public elementary schools in Klirong sub-district in academic year of 2019/2020 simultaneously or separately.

Abstract

The implementation of social attitudes in the 2013 curriculum is part of character education having positive impact on academic achievement. The study aimed to prove positive correlation between social attitudes and social sciences learning outcomes and to determine the contribution of social attitudes toward social sciences learning outcomes to fourth grade students of public elementary schools in Kebumen Sub-district in academic year of 2019/2020. The study used a quantitative research design with correlation method. Sampling method was cluster random sampling technique. The result showed that there was positive relationship between social attitudes and social sciences learning outcomes of fourth grade students with low correlation level which was 0.117. The adjusted R square value of social attitudes to social sciences learning outcomes was 1.38%. It concludes that there is a positive correlation between social attitudes and social sciences learning outcomes to fourth grade students of SDN in Kebumen Sub-district in academic year of 2019/2020.
