Abstract

Perubahan kurikulum KTSP menjadi kurikulum 2013 memberikan konsekuensi yang besar bagi arah pendidikan di masa depan. Hal tersebut berdampak pada semua aspek yang berkaitan dengan proses pendidikan sumber belajar biologi yang menjadi rujukan guru dan siswa.  Kebijakan pergantian  kurikulum  2013 menuntut guru biologi khususnya  agar dapat mempersiapkan diri dengan baik termasuk penerapan pendekatan saintifik yang memanfaatkan sumber belajar berbasis potensi lokal. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui potensi sumber belajar biologi untuk materi ekosistem  di sekitar  persawahan Gunung Puyuh, Pundong, Kabupaten Bantul.Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian eksploratif dengan subjek penelitian adalah penduduk disekitar persawahan Gunung Puyuh, sedangkan objek penelitian adalah ekosistem disekitar persawahan Gunung Puyuh, Desa Panjang Rejo, Kecamatan Pundong, Kabupaten Bantul. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif.Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di sekitar persawahan Gunung Puyuh, Desa Panjang Rejo, Pundong, Bantul ditemukan beberapa komponen abiotik antara lain: sinar matahari, tanah, air, batu, suhu 33°C dan kelembaban 52%,  rata – rata  dan komponen  biotik berupa: padi, rumput, talas, burung, katak, tikus, capung,  laba – laba, belalang, ayam, keong mas, bekicot, cacing, kupu – kupu dan jamur. Potensi sumber belajar biologi untuk materi ekosistem siswa SMA kelas X telah memenuhi dua kreteria syarat sumber belajar yaitu: kejelasan potensi persawahan yang luas dan penuh dengan komponen-komponen ekosistem, kesesuaian dengan tujuan pembelajaran yang telah disesuaikan dengan kurikulum 2013, yaitu, siswa dapat mengetahui ekosistem sawah dan komponen penyusunnya, siswa dapat melakukan pengamatan ekosistem sawah beserta lingkungan sekitarnya, siswa dapat mengidentifikasi komponen penyusun ekosistem sawah, dan siswa dapat membuat jejaring rantai makanan berdasarkan komponen yang ditemukan diekosistem sawah. Selanjutnya proses pembelajarannya dapat menerapkan konsep pembelajaran  Contextual  Teaching  and  Learning (CTL) sehingga dapat menjadikan siswa terpacu untuk menggunakan pengetahuannya dan menggali pengetahuannya dengan masalah yang ada dilingkungan sekitarnya. Kata kunci : potensi sumber belajar, kurikulum 2013, ekosistem

Abstract

Abstract- This study aims to evaluate of plant composition andvegetation structure  inas supporting development strategy ecotourism inSei . Mempura which combines elements of tourism and conservation of nature so that the emphasis on aspects of nature conservation will always be maintained in the absence of concerns about environmental degradation and exploitation . The method used in this study is a survey method of vegetation analysis techniques premises . This research was conducted in Sei . MempuraKab. Siak Sri Indrapura . Data collection was conducted in January 2014 . Based on the results of the analysis of vegetation known that species that dominates the mainstay and economic value and can be highlighted as supporting ecotourism program in the village of SeiMempura is mangosteen ( DR = 9,584 ) and durian ( DR = 8582 ) . The area is famous for its fruit nimanggisnya species that are small and have a very sweet flesh .Spessies durian is also the appeal of  Sei. Mempura to attract tourists locally and nationally on a particular season to visit this village. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the teacher candidates’ perception about professional teacher profile as stated in the Indonesian Teacher Regulation (2005). This research an descritive qualitative were involved 62 teacher candidates of Mathematics and Science Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University as respondents. The data was collected with non-test techniques by questioner. Data analyzed by descriptive qualitative approach and served in diagram. The results showed: there are 95,24% teacher candidates have uncorrect perception and just only 4,76% students have correct perception about the profile of professional teacher. Based on the result of the research can be concluded that mosly teacher candidates have uncorrect perceptions about the profile of professional teacher. As effort to build the professional teacher for future, can be suggested that teacher candidates have to get correct concept about professional teacher especially through education profession matterial. Keywords: teacher candidates’ perception, the profile of professional teacher

Abstract

Abstract- The purpose of this research was to determine the antibacterial activity of garlic extract and black garlic against E.coli sensitive and resistant to antibiotics. This research is an experiment with 2 factors : 1) the type of extract (garlic and garlic Black), 2) test bacterial strain (E. coli sensitive and resistant to antibiotics). Solvent extraction using 20% ethanol, 1: 1 and then centrifuged. Antibacterial activity test by well diffusion method. Parameter study is inhibition zone formed around the wells. The results showed that extracts of garlic has antibacterial activity against E.coli sensitive (14.22 mm) and antibiotic-resistant E.coli (22.2 mm), while the black garlic extract showed no antibacterial activity. Keywords: garlic, black garlic, E.coli

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penyebaran soal Ujian Nasional IPA SMP tahun 2014 berdasarkan dimensi pengetahuan dan dimensi proses kognitif.Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei tahun 2014, tepat setelah Ujian Nasional untuk jenjang SMP selesai dilaksanakan. Subyek penelitian adalah soal-soal Ujian Nasional IPA tahun 2014 yang digunakan sebagai alat evaluasi akhir bagi kelas IX secara nasional sesuai Standar Kompetensi Lulusan (SKL) yang ditetapkan oleh Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP). Data dikumpulkan dari 5 paket soal Ujian Nasional IPA yang diambil secara acak dari 20 paket soal yang ada. Data dianalisis penyebarannya secara kualitatif  berdasarkan dimensi pengetahuan dan dimensi proses kognitif dalam taksonomi pendidikan menurut Bloom yang direvisi oleh Anderson dan Krathwohl. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 40 soal (100%) soal Ujian Nasional IPA tahun 2014 untuk jenjang SMP merupakan soal yang termasuk dimensi pengetahuan konseptual, dan tidak ditemukan soal yang menggali penguasaan pengetahuan faktual maupun prosedural. Sementara dari tinjauan dimensi proses kognitif, soal Ujian Nasional IPA tahun 2014 untuk jenjang SMP yang termasuk dalam kategori mengingat (C1) adalah sebanyak 4 soal (10%), memahami (C2) sebanyak 27 soal (67,5%), menerapkan (C3) sebanyak 4 soal (10%), menganalisis sebanyak 3 soal (7,5%), mengevaluasi (C5) sebanyak 2 soal (5 %), dan mencipta (C6) sebanyak 0 soal (0%).  Kata Kunci: Analisis Soal Ujian Nasional, Mata Pelajaran IPA, Dimensi Pengetahuan, Dimensi Proses Kognitif

Abstract

Tor genus is a local Indonesian freshwater fish, and endangered species. The urgent conservation efforts should be made to determination of relationship based on phenetic approach. This is because the taxonomical position and classification of this fish were unclear. The data used in this study were meristic, general of morphology, and special character to determinate up to the species level. The special characters of this fish were the existence and size of the median lobe. Samples were taken from Banyu Biru lake (Lokal name were Sengkaring and Tambra), as well as the related species, They were consists of Tor duoronensis from Padang, Tor Tambraides from West Borneo, and Tor soro were obtained from North Sumatra. Fenogram formed based on UPGMA method. According to the phenogram, it was shown that 3 related groups of Tor Genus laid from near to far distance based on their relationship, 2 apomorphy and 4 automorphy group. The first consists of two subklad namely Tor duoronensis and Sengkaring with their similarity index 100%, and Tambra was sister clad of Tor duoronensis supported by the similarity index of 92.9 %. The second Subklad consists of Tor tambra and Tor soro (Apomorfi B) with a similarity index 59%, while the furthest distance Tor tambraides with similarity index of 45, 625%. Tambra and Sengkaring showed a grouping pattern that closely related to Tor duoronensis based on seven main distinguishing morphometric features. Seven main distinguishing features were consist of: size of median lobe, SL (standard length), MXBL (maxillary barbels lenght), CPL (caudal peduncle lenght), PDL (pre dorsal lenght), IW (interorbital width) and SNL (snout lenght). Furthermore, the results of morphometric analysis showed that Sengkaring and Tambra was indeed not a member of Tor Tambraides and Tor soro species due to significant difference of body size. Keywords: Tor, Relationship, Phenetic, Morphology, Special Character, Meristric, Conservation

Abstract

Education for sustainable development emphasizes on the effectiveness of diffusion of environmentally friendly knowledge and skill to people to have positively environmental attitude in the human-environment interface. In scholarly activities, such transfer of knowledge and value involves particular strategy of transfer ensuring that the given knowledge has impacted on the affective and action. Indeed, theories in environmental psychology suggest that appropriate education changes people’s environmental attitude and behavior.  Theories, approaches, strategy and models of learning are available and can be scrutinized to provide the best way in teaching of ecology in particular concept. Here, the eco-physiological research towards rice-field rats is used as the learning material. Borg and Gall method of research and development can also be used guiding the methodological steps in this review. Abstract

Water resources is essential for life. One of potential source is ground water springs. Floor vegetation act as rainwater retention,therefore rainfall does not become runoff instead infiltrate as ground water that is important.The purpose of this study was to analyze of floor vegetation (growth form shrubs, herbs, and grasses) around springs and study its role in the retention of water  infiltration. The study was conducted in June-October 2013 in Umbul Nila’s spring, Tulung, Klaten, Central Java and Mudal’s spring, Purwosari, Gunungkidul, D.I.Yogyakarta. The simple random sampling of 1m x1m quadrate method was used, for vegetation analyzes with a 15 samples of each springs. The results of analysis in Umbul Nila’s springs, was obtained 8 families, 17 species of vegetation floors and 5 families with 18 species around Mudal’s spring. The results of calculation, the highest INP value of 5 species vegetation in Umbul Nila: Heliotropium indicum 33,5%, Bidens pilosa 32%, Ischaemum triticeum 30,9%, Paspalum conjugatum 16,7%, dan Eleusine indica 11,6%.  whereas in Mudal: Ischaemum triticeum 28,6%, Elephantopus scaber 27,7%, Paspalum conjugatum 26%, Chromolaena odorata21,4%, Flemingia macrophylla16,9%. Diversity index (H ') in Umbul Nila (0,90) with low category and Mudal (1.02) includ of medium category. An index of similarity in both locations by 45,71%, meaning that a low floor vegetation similarity. The results of infiltration rate experiment using rain simulation, showed that the ability of water infiltration in Umbul Nila on herbs-covered land was 73% is higher than the land covered with grasses, shrubs, and base land. While in Mudal, shrub land covered by 97.17% compared to the land covered herbs, grasses, and base land. Keywords: Floor Vegetation, Springs, Infiltration, Umbul Nila, Mudal

Abstract

The purpose of this research to describe the strength and the weakness factors from microteaching activities which held in Mathematics and Science Faculty Laboratory, Surabaya State University. This descriptive research use in-depth interview technique and questionnaire. The data were obtain from 25 lecturers of Field Experience I Subject, 100 students who already take this program and also 15 learning laboratory crew on Mathematics and Science Faculty. The result of this research report that: (1) The strength of microteaching activities in Mathematics and Science Faculty werelean on the lecturers who doing shooting and editing by him/herself which already trained through workshop, and video learning of the result microteaching used by student and lecturer for reflections, (2) The weakness of microteaching activities in Mathematics and Science Faculty were the quality of result microteaching video should be improve. Keywords: microteaching, Mathematics and Science Faculty State University of Surabaya

Abstract

Abstract - This research aimed to study the effect of storage temperatures and durations on the physico-chemical characteristics of chilli (Capsicum annuum) puree.The storage was done by using laminated aluminium foil at the storage temperature 5, 28 and 45oC for 10 weeks of storage. The characteristics observed during storage were pH, water activity and Capsaicinoid content of chilli puree. Based on the results, it can be concluded that different storage temperatures gave significant effect on water activity and Capsaicinoid content of chilli puree, storage duration gave significant effect on pH, water activity and Capsaicinoid content of chilli puree. The combination of storage temperatures and durations gave significant effect on the pH and water activity but not on the Capsaicinoid content of chilli puree.
