Abstract

The art of batik culture in particular has existed since ancient times, and until now batik has developed and is a work of national culture. Batik is one of the cultural arts that is special, namely a combination of art and technology, is a work of art that combines the art of motifs or decoration and color art which is processed through dyeing, dabbing and shaving (Sewan, 1982). This study aims to show that Variety of Lines can generate new ideas in the presentation of batik motifs. The emergence of new patterns according to local cultural wisdom is unique in strengthening the nation's identity as a world cultural heritage. Seeing the good prospects of the development of the art of batik, it is necessary to pay attention to basic things such as quality, basic materials (fabric, dyes, etc.), the workmanship system and the development of ideas in its presentation so as to provide economic value and have a long-term positive impact on the art of batik itself. Variety of Lines can be used as an idea to bring up new motifs. The results of this study indicate that the Variety of Lines can generate new ideas in the presentation of batik motifs and also helps to flex the use of canting in the written batik technique.

Abstract

This article examines the emotional, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, artistic, and creative experiences of students at SMAN 10 Malang City. Students are directly involved in various creative experiences, producing works of art. Their real experiences directly benefit their lives. Learning mural art in the Cultural Arts subject allows students to interact with their technical abilities and environmental conditions. Murals are works of art that use drawing or painting techniques on permanent walls, walls or large surfaces. The purpose of this study is to examine the process of painting murals, considering that learning activities are believed to increase the intelligence of students, because the learning process involves cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The research method uses qualitative descriptive, the data used is student actions in the process of creating murals for class XII MIPA D students for the 2018-2019 school year. The analytical tools are observing, observing and recording student activities, as well as analyzing the work produced. The results of the study show that mural work is an alternative for teachers to increase students' creativity which is varied, namely 1) creative ideas, 2) reflection of students' emotional experiences, and 3) responsiveness to space.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan model Cooperative Learning dapat berpengaruh terhadap karakter kerjasama siswa pada pembelajaran seni tari. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain one group pretest-posttes. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X TKJ2 UPT SMK Negeri 4 Banyuasin. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling.  Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 35 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pengamatan, angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan  adalah analisis uji  normalitas dan uji hipotesis Paired Sample Test bantuan aplikasi SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dari penerapan model Cooperative Learning terhadap karakter kerjsama siswa pada pembelajaran seni tari yang dapat dilihat dari uji Paired Sample Test yang menunjukkan tingkat signifikasi sebesar 0,000 yang berarti 0,05 dengan thitung sebesar 29,609 yang berarti lebih besar dibandingkan dengan ttabel sebesar 2,042

Abstract

There is a problem that underlies this researcher to do that, namely the interest of the younger generation in the art of ludruk is decreasing and it is feared that it will have an impact on the extinction of one of the various performing arts in Indonesia. This study aims to describe the ludruk cinema performance model, which is a new creative innovation offered to answer various problems of ludruk art. The learning method used is Design Thinking which consists of seven main stages, namely: (1) define, (2) research, (3) ideate, (4) prototype, (5) select, (6) implement and (7) learn. In the results and discussion section, the researcher describes (1) the concept of the Ludruk Cinema Performance, (2) the structure of the Ludruk Cinema Performance, and (3) the Ludruk Cinema Performance Model: A Forum for the Development of the Ludruk Cinema in East Java Cinema. The ludruk art development model is still strived to contain character values, with novelty carried out in the form of performances that are expected to be in accordance with the times.

Abstract

The creation of this painting originated from the author's experience when discussing endless issues of women. Social issues regarding women are always updated in various issues ranging from discrimination, crime and injustice against women. In fact, this feminist issue has existed since time immemorial with the story of Dewi Shinta, who has always carried feminine values. The aim is to create paintings that have a feminist value concept in Dewi Shinta and create paintings through the process of selecting sketches, materials, manufacturing techniques, exploration, and presentation that have the meaning of feminist firmness values. The method used in this thesis is the method of making a thesis. In the realm of this creation process consists of several stages, namely the formation stage (Forming). Coloring (Colloring), Finishing (Finishing). The creators hope that this work can be used as inspiration to create works of art that are always updated. Conceptually, the creation of painting works wants to build a national cultural character that is increasingly fading through feminist values.

Abstract

This article examines the paintings by I Wayan Arnata, a Balinese artist. I Wayan Arnata consistently explores spiritual themes, exploring the philosophy of life as embodied in the traditional ngJdi decoration technique. The purpose of this study is to examine the symbolic meaning of the work based on the semiotic theory of C.S. Peirce using qualitative descriptive research methods. Data were obtained through interviews with key informants: I Wayan Arnata (48 years old) and triangulated analysis with I Wayan Arnata's documents. The results of this study describe the nature of art for I Wayan Arnata and the concept of understanding Hindu-Balinese philosophy. The concept of the Tri Hita Karana philosophy, as the basis for understanding the creative process of harmony between humans and others, humans and the environment, and intrapersonal relationships with God. In his works, these spiritual values find a new space in I Wayan Arnata's interpretation of the expression of spiritual values expressed through visual language through formalistic aspects.

Abstract

Modern theater learning is one of the cultural arts learning materials at Islamic Senior High School Az – Zahrah Palembang. The drilling method is a way of teaching by doing training activities continuously to gain dexterity and skills. This study aims to describe the learning process of modern theater using the drill method in class XI at SMA Islam Az – Zahrah Palembang. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study on teachers and 33 students of class XI, showed that modern theater learning using the drill method went well.

Abstract

Creating content on social media requires a creative process to support interaction between brands and audiences. Because social media is not only a place to display product catalogs, but also as a marketing medium. The purpose of this study is to explain what the creative process and content design analysis looks like on Wardah's Instagram Feed. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. With the aim of this research can explain or describe the design work in detail. The data was obtained by interviewing Taufiqur Rosyadi (27 years old) as the owner of Postwork. Documentation of the design work was obtained through Instagram social media, Wardah's official account. And scientific data obtained from various sources of books and scientific literature. Then data from interviews, photo documentation, and other scientific data as supporting data are processed in detail. Postwork is a creative studio focused on photography and design on social media. One of the clients who use Postwork studio services is Wardah. In the creative process of creating his work, there are 3 stages, namely brainstorming, execution, and editing. The design composition uses the Windows Layout Picture type which emphasizes product figures and headlines.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify and describe the learning process of the Zapin Lancang Kuning dance using the drill method in class X SMA Negeri 1 Ujan Mas. This research method is a qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. In collecting data, the researcher observed directly the learning process in the classroom both regarding teachers and students starting from the preparation, implementation and evaluation stages of learning. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Ujan Mas in class X IPA 3 with a total of 36 students consisting of 13 boys and 23 girls. The method used by the teacher is the drill method, in which the teacher in terms of learning is first provided with theory by the teacher plus also showing dance videos as a medium in learning so that students are interested and respond to learning. The teacher demonstrates the dance moves in front of the students and then remains guided by the teacher, students are asked to practice with repeated exercises so that they become proficient and skilled. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Zapin Lancang Kuning dance learning in Class X SMA Negeri 1 Ujan Mas is categorized as good, judging from the results of the evaluation of students who get scores in the good category range of 24 people and very good category 12 people.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the dancers' aspects in Satu Padu dance, whether Satu Padu dance has dancer aspects according to the theory used in the study. The theory used in this study is the theory of Y Sumandiyo Hadi regarding the aspects of dancers in group choreography which has 3 elements, namely: 1) Aspects of the number of dancers, 2) Aspects of gender and body posture of dancers, 3) Aspects of the unity of group composition, (a) Aspects of the direction facing the dancers, (b) Aspects of the distance between dancers, (c) Aspects of Key dancers. The research method used is qualitative, this qualitative research method is a method based on philosophy, and this method is used in research with natural object conditions, so this research method is often used by a researcher in an art and culture research. The results of the study are in accordance with the theory used, in this Satu Padu dance, there are dancer aspects according to the dancer aspects of Y Sumandiyo Hadi.
