Abstract

The aim of the research was to discover the effectiveness of sambiloto(Andrographis paniculata Nees) to prevent Edwardsiellosis infection caused byEdwardsiella tarda in catfish (Pangasius hypopthalmus). Antibacterial activitytest has been carried out from sambiloto solution on E. Tarda using disc diffusionmethod. The concentration sambiloto solution use were 0, 1g/l, 2g/l, 3g/l and 4g/l.This research show that sambiloto solution 5g/l forming the largest clear zoneaverage 9,3 mm. The LD50 test of sambiloto solution given by immersion for 24 hat catfish can harm fish survival when given at doses above 7,30 g / l.Treatment applied was the different dosage of sambiloto by immersion tenminutes give for 30 days. Each fish was immersion with 1 g/l sambiloto (P1), 2 g/lsambiloto (P2) and 4 g/l sambiloto (P3). The fish was feed adlibitum withcommercial fish feed pellets. Before 30 days treatment the fish wereintramuscularly infected with E. Tarda with density of 10 7 cell/ml in a dose of 0,1ml/fish.The best result was obtained in fish after challenged with E.tarda show asignificantly between treatment in P3 (4g/l) (P ˂ 0.05), as the survival rate was100 % and non-specific defence in the catfish show hematocrite level is 22,67 %,total leucocytes is 31,70 thousand cell/mm3 and the percentage of phagocytoticactivity at 55,5 %.Keywords: Catfish, Andrographis paniculata , antimicrobial, Edwardsiella tarda

Abstract

Primary factor supporting effective management seed of fish and prawnisqualified natural feed avaibility. Natural feeds used in hatcheryseed for exampleArtemia salina as larva of fish and prawn food’s. One of the factorthat influencingculture growth of Artemia salina is feed. Artemia Salina in nature exploit the feedsuch mikroalga , bacterium, and other organic detritus that hasnutrient content forits growth and sizematching with its mouth. So that mikroalga can be madealternative feed of Artemia salina culture. Various type of mikroalga can be usedas feed like Chaetoceros sp, Skeletonema Costatum and Nannochloropsis oculata. The Mikroalga is very compatible as feed for Artemia salina growth, because hasgood nutrient content. But we have’nt known yet, which most compatible tooptimum growth of artemia.Aim of this research result is to analyzenatural feed of three microalga(Chaetoceros Sp, Skeletonema Costatum and Nannochlropsis oculata) that haveeffect to Artemia Salina growth. Gift of food Chaetoceros sp represent the besttreatment with the long accretion storey;l evel of mean assess 2,99 micron, treatment B of mean 2,76 micron and treatment C represent the treatment 2,57micron. Analyze the data by statistic also indicated that gift different mikroalgaaffect long growth of Artemia Salina. Keywords: Artemia salina, Microalgae

Abstract

The research was conducted in the Sub Watershed Cisangkuy of theUpper Citarum Watershed in the Bandung regency. Cisangkuy river playsimportant role in the water supply to the population of Bandung regency andBandung city. In the last ten years, the debit of the river was decreased at dryseason but increased at rainy season that causes of flood in some places. It isneeded to research the variability of hydroclimatology at the region. The monthlyrainfall and debit in range of 2001-2011 was processed using the coefficient ofvariation (CV), wavelets and moving average analysis. The result of thecoefficient of variation and wavelets analysis show the monthly rainfall of fourweather stations: Cileunca, Kertamanah, Cipanas and Ciherang have the CV of78%, 82%, 84%, 70% respectively and show the dominant oscillation around 8-16months. The debit of two hydrology stations: Pataruman and Kamasan have theCV of 97%, 86% respectively and show the dominant oscillation around 128months and 64 months. The analysis of moving average with the simple, exponential, adaptive methods show the increase of five yearly debit significantlyin the range of observed data which cause of the flood in the Kamasan Banjaranregion. The 8-16 months oscillation is associated with the apparent position of theSun between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn which cause regional variationsin the intensity of monsoon and it’s called annual oscillation. The 128 monthsoscillation of debit is associated with the ten to twelve (TTO) years oscillation inthe tropical tropospheric temperature. While 64 months oscillation is associatedwith the the tropical Pacific phenomena El Niño (warm condition) and La Niña(cold conditions) are the cause of 2-7 years oscillations which famous with ENSOcycle. Keywords: Watershed, Rainfall, Debit, Variability, Hidroclimatology, Wavelets,Moving Average, Oscillation
