Abstract

The purpose of this action research is to increase the interest and learning outcomes of physics students with the implemention of the Meaningful Instructional Design Model (MID). The influence of internal factors experienced by students in learning physics include difficulties in understanding the material and solving the questions correctly, so that students' learning interest is low. Meaningful Instructionnal Design Model includes a learning model that prioritizes learning meaningfulness, which should be able to increase students' interest and learning outcomes. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA4, SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. The research instrument used observation sheets for interest and test sheets for physics learning outcomes in fluid material. Data is analyzed descriptively in percentage representation. The results of the research obtained the interest of students in physics learning, experiencing an increase from cycle I to cycle II. The same thing for learning outcomes of physics students also increased from cycle I to cycle II, with the average results obtained very good category. Thus the implementation of the Meaningful Instructionnal Design (MID) model is effective in increasing interest and learning outcomes of students of class XI MIPA4 SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru, in learning fluid material.

Abstract

This study was intended to produce a learning sets web-based by the application of problem based learning, as a learning media Basic Electronics on the topic theory and diode circuits. The kind of research used is the ADDIE model with the five steps that is: analysis, design, development model, implementation, and evaluation model. Research instruments that we use is an instrument in the form of validation questionnaire sheets of expert and an instrument practicality namely response users questionnaire. Through this study has been produced a learning shets for the lecture Basic Electronics web-based by the application of problem based learning consisting of the syllabus, lesson plan (LP), module, power point media (ppt) and worksheets for student activities. The learning sets that produced having a level validation of experts to a category valid (score 3.19), the rate of practicality from users the results to a category practical (score 3.20). Based on their own evaluation experts and users, so products learning sets Basic Electronics web-based by the application of the problem based learning announced eligible to be used and developed in lecture on the topic theory and diode circuits in the Physics Education Study Program.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the results of cognitive learning physics students in the teaching and learningcontextual approach in physics education at SMAN 1 Ukui School. The subject matter of effort and energy.The subjects studied were grade science students totaling 19 people, with the number of students 9 men and10 women. Data collection in this research done at the end of the learning process by conducting tests ofcognitive skills. Data was analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques include absorbed power, learningeffectiveness, student learning and exhaustiveness learning purposes. Data analysis results showed: theaverage absorbed power is 83.7 % with a good category to the category of effective learning effectiveness.Students studying completeness 94.7 % and 85.7 % completeness of learning goals with comprehensivecategories. Thus, application implementation contextual approach Teaching and Learning ( CTL ) in thesubject matter of effort and energy effectively used to study physics at SMAN 1 Ukui.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of thematic integrated science learning at SMP N 1 Tambusai. The research method was quantitative descriptive research. The data used as a result were in the form of filling questionnaire data by teachers. Based on the results, it was found that the planning aspects of the integrated science learning plan with a percentage of 75% was good, the implementation aspect of integrated science learning with a percentage of 72.5% was enough, and aspects of assessment learning process and results with a percentage of 77.5% was good. Thus, the average of whole aspect was 75% categorized as good. So, the implementation of thematic integrated science learning at SMP N 1 Tambusai has been carried out sufficiently, both in accordance with the objectives of the 2013 Curriculum.

Abstract

The purpose of this research has described learning result of physics science skill process byapplying integrated learning model to first year students MTs Dar El Hikmah Pekanbaru on topic object,motion, and microscope. This research involved an experiment research. The subject of this research wasfirst year students MTs Dar El Hikmah Pekanbaru at academic year 2007/2008 in totally 32 student. Thetechnique of collecting data by using test of physics science skill process. The technique of data analysis byusing descriptive analysis. Data analysis showed that abortive power is 74 % with good category, learneffectiveness can be categorized in effective enough, but completeness of student’s learns is not complet.Hence, integrated learning model is effective enough to first year students MTs Dar El Hikmah Pekanbaruon topic object, motion, and microscope.Key words : integrated learning model, learning result, skill process

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the use of Lesson Study model of learning physics lab tours in SMANegeri 1 Langgam. Physics of matter to be discussed is the temperature and heat. Samples selectedexperimental class X consisting of 30 persons of SMA N 1 Langgam Pelalawan regency of Riau. Used forcomparative learning models (conventional) are also given to the class X pilial class at the same high school,with student numbers by 28 people. Experimental studies focused on (1) conceptual tests in the form of anobjective test, (2) tests of creative thinking skills, and (3) a questionnaire to explore the response of studentsand teachers to the learning model Lesson Study Tour Practice and its use. The results showed that the use oflearning models Lesson Study Tour Practice can significantly further improve the mastery of concepts andcreative thinking skills of students compared with the use of conventional learning models. Teachers andmost students responded positively to the use of models Lesson Study Tour Practice in teaching physics inschool. They get excited and motivated to an active role in the learning process, they felt their teamwork andcommunication skills both orally and in writing can be trained, they also feel the understanding of conceptsand thinking skills can be facilitated, and most of them want to use this learning model.

Abstract

The puspose of this research was to find the students physics science learning achievement throughgroup investigation of cooperative learning model to the light and its properties topic. The subject of thisresearch was 47 students of V class SDN 022 Tampan Pekanbaru on 2006/2007 academic’s year. Theinstrument of collecting data was achievement test. Achievement test consist of: cognitive test and scienceprocess skill test. The desciptive analysis showed that the average of students digestibility to the cognitiveand science process skill are catagorized very good.Key words: cognitive, group investigation, science process skill

Abstract

Scientific argumentation is one of the thinking ability which important to be trained in order to make students not only focus on solving quantitative problem and analyze physics phenomena in daily life. This study was aimed to determine the effect of Generate Argument Instruction model toward student argumentation skills on optical material. Quasy experiment was use as study model by using intact group comparison. The population in this study were students grade VIII of SMPN 20 Pekanbaru which consisted of seven classes. Two classes whas choossen to be experiment and control class based on normality and homogenity test. The data was analyze by using descriptive and inferential statistic techniques. The result of this study showed there was a sifnificant influence toward students argumentation skill between experiment class that using implementy Generate Argument Instructional Model and control class that using conventional learning. The argumentation skill of experimental class was higher than class control (12,7%). It can be conclude, the generate argument instructional model gave the positive effect toward student’s argumentation skills.

Abstract

In general, this research aims to produce a valid magnetic induction experimental device as a medium for learning physics in high school. The experimental device consists of experimental equipment and tool usage manual. In particular, this research aims to design, build, and validate devices for magnetic induction experiments on coiled wire as a physics learning media according to the research development steps. Three experts and two physics teachers as users have been involved to provide an assessment of the experimental devices that have been built. Assessment is carried out on the construction and content of the experimental device. The results of data analysis showed that every aspect of the assessment of the experimental tool was declared valid with a very good category (index validity 3.34) and the manual for using experimental tools was also declared valid with a very good category (index of validity 3.47). Thus, it can be said that the magnetic induction experimental device in circular wire is declared valid as a medium for physics learning.

Abstract

The results of the students' test of class XI MIPA1 SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru on the material of physics, shows that almost more than half of students have not been able to solve the problems well, it needs improvement or. Problem Based Learning is one of the recommended learning models in the implementation of the curriculum 2013 because this model is proven capable of stimulating high-level thinking ability with problem design in real context. The purpose of this action research is to improve learning outcomes and student activities in the application of Problem Based Learning model in Physics learning. The subject of this research is the students of class XI MIPA 1, SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. This research is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles. The results of this study obtained data from the test results learners cycle I with absorption of 59.0%, the cycle II absorption of 69.3%, student activity on learning cycle I and cycle II active categories. Therefore, the implementation of Problem Based Learning can improvement the activity and learning outcome of physics learning for students of class XI MIPA1, SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru.
