Abstract

This study aims to address problems related to morpheme structure requirements and phonological processes and rules. The Kambera dialect (BSDK) has 24 origin segments consisting of nineteen consonant segments, namely / p, b, t, d, k, m, n, ŋ, ň, mb, nd, nj, ŋg, j, h , l, r, w, y /, and five vocal segments, i.e., u, e, o, a /. Phonetically, four vocal segments of them experience relaxation, such as / i, u, e, o / being [I, U, E, O]. To distinguish the twenty-four segments, fourteen distinguishing features are needed. The segment (segment) found in BSDK is very limited, there are only vocal groups, whereas consonant groups are not found. To explain the possibility of existing vocal groups, a rule has been formulated, that is, if - then. Vocal groups in BSDK include / i - u /, / i - a /, / u - a /, / u - i /, / e - u /, / e - i /, / o - i /, / a - i /, and / a - u /. To describe the phonological process that occurs, four phonological rules are needed, namely (1) vocal and semivocal insertion rules, (2) syllable repetition rules, and (3) vocal relaxation rules, and (4) vocal change rules.

Abstract

It was realized that in the diversity of languages / dialects there were variations in languages / dialects. Language / dialect variations can occur in the language / dialect community group with a large number of speakers and a small number of community groups. Language / dialect variations can be in the form of pronunciation, vocabulary, structure, grammar. For the language / dialect community group whose number of speakers is small, such as in Alor where the speakers are not more than five hundred people, the survival of their local languages may not exceed two generations. Especially if the language variations that distinguish one speech community group from another speech community are very large, then to communicate daily using Indonesian. The chance of extinction of regional languages is even greater. Therefore, the effort to maintain, bequeath and spread is the responsibility of all parties.

Abstract

Klitik is different from the affix. Although both are bound forms attached to the word that follows it or the word that follows it or added to the front of the word or added to the back of the word. Affixes in the Indonesian language, such as di-, meN-, BER, KE, TER-, PE-, and so on. As for the kl-ku, ku-, -mu, -nya. In the Anakalang language, it is found that there is only one affix 'affix', that is, pa-. This pa- prefix does not contain any meaning if this prefix stands alone without being attached to the basic word or basic form. Whereas klitik in BA is found in various forms, such as ku-, -gi, -me, -mi, -mu, -ne-, and -de on the Kripalu 'kupukul', kumanadangu 'kucantik', -gi 'ku' in the language Indonesia, as in umagi 'my house', palugi 'hit me', bahagi 'wet', bunkum 'our book or our book, palume' hit us or hit us', dowimi 'your money', dowimu 'your money' dowine 'money' , and dowide 'their money'

Abstract

ABSTRACT Instructional media is very important to support the scientific-based learning process. The problem of this research is (1) does the Indonesian language teacher in SMPN 5 Kupang City use instructional media in learning Indonesian?; (2) what types of instructional media are used in Indonesian language learning?; (3) is the use of instructional media in accordance with basic competencies and indicators that are set?; (4) how is the creativity of the teacher in designing and using instructional media?; (5) what are the obstacles faced by the teachers in designing and using instructional media? The type of research used is descriptive research. The purpose of descriptive research is to describe a phenomenon as it was at the time of the study. This research approach is a qualitative approach. The result showed that the teachers of SMPN 5 Kupang City used instructional media in learning Indonesian according to minimum standards. The types of instructional media developed and used by teachers in addition to the minimum standard media are images, original objects, the environment, print media, the internet, and the surrounding community. There is still a mismatch between the learning media used with the subject matter being taught. Indonesian language teachers are still not creative enough to design and use instructional media. The lack of electricity and other facilities in school and the lack of mastery of information technology are inhibiting factors for teachers in developing instructional media. The teacher’s effort to overcome the limitations of the instructional media is to use images, original objects, the environment, print media, the internet, and the surrounding community.

Abstract

This research investigates the relationship between Sabu language, Sabu culture, and conceptualization of Sabu people, as reflected in the anthropomorphic metaphor as the cultural identity of the Sabu in terms of their form and meaning. This study is illustrated from cultural linguistics, a new theoretical perspective in cognitive linguistics that explores the relationship of language, culture, and conceptualization. This research is descriptive. The results show that there is a close relationship between Sabu language, Sabu culture, and conceptualization of Sabu people, as reflected in the anthropomorphic metaphor shown by the use of human organs attached to entities in the physical environment. In addition to creating new forms, attachments also present new meanings because of the expansion of meanings from denotative to connotative meanings. Verbal expressions in Sabu that show anthropomorphic metaphorical characteristics as cultural identities of Sabu people, among other things, wat'tu ai 'spring' which refers to the spring and kepue lede 'foot of the mountain' which refers to the bottom of the mountain. Because language functions as the cultural identity of its people, it is recommended that Sabu language must be maintained.

Abstract

Learning by using the method of "Learning Together" emphasizes cooperative learning, division of tasks, individual responsibilities, cooperation, both achieving the same results. Based on the perspective of Social Learning Theory, it can be understood that learning with the Learning Together method is a social situation that is built based on the function of personal factors, behavioral factors, and environmental factors that interact with interesting, demonstrative, and quality characteristics. This learning situation stimulates individual social activities and individual initiative as a real and integrated part of the group to complete group assignments based on the short story review components. Thus, individuals experience a more permanent formation because the process of formation arises from within themselves and is well organized. Through learning situations like this the ability possessed by students is not only proceeded in the level of individual awareness itself but through social dynamics that can lead to individual confidence in actualizing themselves and their ability to write short story reviewer texts. Thus, it can be obtained at the same level of ability in quality in the work of short story reviewer texts.

Abstract

Understanding (reading) the literature in this paper is intended to read literature in order to capture the author's intentions behind his impressive work; reading literature by understanding the contents and context of the narrative in literary texts (Priyatni, 2010) The content and context of literature is very complex because it is packaged in a complex code system, namely language codes, social codes, cultural codes, and literary codes (Teeuw, 1988). To understand literary texts with critical thinking, readers should have knowledge and understanding of these codes. The reader does not merely understand the language codes at the grammatical level, but more than that understands cultural codes as product and literary codes.
