Abstract

Learning using e-learning with a blended learning model using the flipped classroom method is one of the learning systems suitable for use during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research has been carried out until the validity stage by producing an e-learning based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) on Thermochemistry material by applying the flipped classroom approach in the learning process. The type of research is R&D (Research and Development), with a 4-D model consisting of: (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop, and (4) disseminate. The products produced from the study were validated by 1 Chemistry lecturer of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNP and 1 chemistry teacher at MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan, and continued at the revision stage based on input from the validator. The analysis of the validity test was carried out using the Cohen kappa formula. Then obtained the kappa value of content validity of 0.884 and construct validity of 0.869 with very high categories for both. Based on this, based e-learning on Project Based Learning (PjBL) for Thermochemistry material is produced by applying a valid flipped classroom approach and can be used in the learning process.

Abstract

E-learning based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) on Basic Chemistry Law material by applying the flipped classroom approach in the learning processvalidity and practicality have been determined. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D). The development model is a 4-D model which consists of 4 stages, namely (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Develop, (4) Desseminate. The socialization stage was not carried out due to time and cost constraints. The research instrument used was a validation questionnaire and a practicality questionnaire. The validation questionnaire was filled in by 1 chemistry lecturer from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNP and 1 teacher of MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan. Data were analyzed using kappa moments. The average validity test of the kappa moment content is 0.84 with the very high validity category. The average construct validity test for the kappa moment was 0.78 in the high category. Thus, it can be concluded thate-learning based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) with the flipped classroom approach valid.

Abstract

Educational Chemistry is a material which in its study requires 3 levels of representation known as the triangle, namely macroscopic, submicroscopic and symbolic. At the microscopic level, chemical materials study abstract things such as atoms, molecules, compounds so that they must be a concrete picture to study them. At the symbolic level contains formulas, structures, and reaction equations. Meanwhile, at the macroscopic level it was carried out by means of experiments. However, in its implementation, the experiment requires a long time and complete facilities and infrastructure. So that what happens in the field students only remember and memorize, do not understand and have the ability to think at a high level in accordance with the demands of the 2013 curriculum. There have been many studies that have shown that these learning models are able to improve students' higher order thinking skills (HOTS) and creative thinking. So that the authors make this research into the Development of a Content Learning System (CLS) Flipped Classroom Model Based on Project Base Learning on Quantum Number in 1st Class (X) term to Improve Higher-Level Thinking Ability. This research is a research development (R&D) using the Borg and Gall model.
