Abstract

Abstract Activity hospitals generate waste in the form solid, liquid and gas that contain phatogen and harmful chemical. To improve the quality of services needs to be improved means to cope with waste. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of  knowledge and the attitude to the behavior of nurses in the management of medical waste. This study used cross-sectional study design with sample of 96 nurses who served in Emergency Unit and Operation Room. The data analysis using Chi-Square statistical test. Based on the results of the study, 61 people (63.5%) had good knowledge, 38 people (39.6%) had positive attitude and 59 people (61.5%) had good behavior. The statistic result of research showed that there was relationship between knowledge with the behavior of nurses (CC = 76.011, sig= 0.000) and attitude with the behavior of nurses (CC=15.381, sig-0.000). It can be conclude that there is a relantionship between knowledge with behavior of  the nurse and relantionship between attitude with behavior of nurses in the management of medical waste. Hospital that is programmed in carrying out extension and training management of medical waste to nurse. Hospital to provide facilities and infrastructure that is adequate and available standard operating procedures for medical personnel about managemment of  medical waste Keywords: knowledge, attitude, behavior, medical waste

Abstract

Potencial hazards that the threaten safety and health agricultural sector one of them is the use of pesticides. The pesticides are not controlled can make some trobles of health and environment pollution. The purpose of this study is to know description of occupational safety and health efforts in the use of pesticides of farmer group “Kube Amerta Abadi” In Candikuning Baturiti, Tabanan regency. This study is descriptive study. The sampling using a saturated sampling technique, in wich all members of the population are sampled. The data obtained through by interview and check up the cholinesterase of  15 members of farmer groups. The result of study are indicated that from 15 farmers, 14 farmers have a good effort of OHS planning phase. The effort of OHS implementation phase of 15 farmers all have a good effort of OHS. From 15 farmers, 9 of the farmers have the effort of OHS the bad post implementation phase, and 6 farmers have the effort of OHS the good post implementation phase. The effort of OHS in the use of pesticides 15 farmers, 8 farmers have the effort of OHS is good and 7 farmers have the effort of OHS moderate ability. From the check of cholinesterase, 4 farmers have a mild toxic and 11 farmers have suffered moderate toxic.

Abstract

A restaurant is one of the places visited by the general public with special attention in the field of sanitation. Based on preliminary observations made by some food handlers, they do not use plastic gloves when processing food. This study aims to see the state of sanitation hygiene in the Minang Simpang Ampek Panjer Restaurant, Denpasar City. The type of research used is descriptive research with a survey method. Observation results show that the selection of food ingredients produced is 100%. 100% food processing. Storage of 100% foodstuffs. 100% finished food storage. Serving 80% of the production. 80% personal hygiene result. The application of cleanliness as a result of the calculation meets the requirements, namely 93.33%. Food handlers should use plastic gloves when processing food. Serving food should use a food cover so that food is not contaminated with dust, insects, hair or other dirt. Food packaging should use food grade or health-safe packaging such as using banana leaves when wrapping food

Abstract

Abstract: Garbage or trash is defined as waste material that increases health and environment problem. People often ignore or pay less attention to the waste management so that people seem throw the garbage at anywhere. Lecture method in health promotion is non formal education activity in order to give people behavior about waste management. The aim of the study is to know the before and after health promotion difference towards knowledge, attitude and behavior through lecture method in dealing with waste management at students of SD Cerdas mandiri grade 4 and 5 by using Quasi Experimental study method with Nonequivalent Control Group Design . Paired-t test is applied on this study and found sig (2-tailed) (0,000) alpha (0,05) as the result. The result of the study revealed that there is difference in student knowledge, attitude and behavior level on waste management before and after health promotion through lecture method was given.

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this study was to determine the sanitation condition of Acute Respiratory Infections sufferers in under-five children in the work area of the public health center one regional technical implemention unit of the South Denpasar District Health Office. This type of research is descriptive by observation, interview and measurement of the physical quality of the environment. From this study the results obtained 100% of the conditions of the floor of the room meet the requirements, 46.2% of the houses of patients with natural ventilation meet the requirements that is 10% of the floor area and 53.8% of the ventilation of houses do not meet the requirements, 46.2% of the houses with lighting meet the requirements and 53.8 did not meet the requirements, 44.2% of the houses with room temperature that did not meet the requirements and 55.8% of the room temperature that did not meet the requirements, 42.3% of the houses with humidity that were eligible and 57.7% of the houses with no humidity. eligible, 48.1% of houses meet the density of sleeping space and 51.9% of houses do not meet the density of occupancy.

Abstract

Fish is one of the most useful food for life, because it provides a relatively high protein. Salted Fish Center in Kusamba have a large production of fish product but the process still traditional and has never been examinated of sanitation and hygiene condition. The purpose of this reaserch is to know sanitation and hygiene condition of salted fish such as hygiene of employees, location and building, sanitation facilities, fish processing and equipment sanitation. Type of the research is descriptive with cross sectional approach. The sample on this research is 43 block of salted fish and all employee in there. Based on hygiene of employee assessment, obtained 17 % is unqualified. Based on location and building assessment, obtained 30 % is unqualified. Based on sanitation facilities assessment, obtained 26 % is unqualified. Based on fish processing assessment, obtained 100 % is qualified. and based on equipment sanitation obtained 28 % is unqualified. The conclution is sanitation and hygiene condition of salted fish in Salted Fish Center is qualified.

Abstract

Food handlers have an important role in food processing because they can transmit disease. Human resource greatly affect the state of sanitation hygiene, including education that leads to knowledge about personal hygiene and the enviroment.The research objective was to analyze the relationship the level of knowledge and behavior of food handlers with the aplication of personal hygiene. This type of descriptive research uses interview and observation methods with a cross sectional approach. Sampling using nonprobability sampling technique, with a total of 40 respondents. The analysis in the study used the Fisher Exact Test. The results of the research on the Chi-Square Test, it is known that the Exact Sig (2-sided) value in the Fisher Exact Test is 0.006 0.05 on the variable level of knowledge with the application of personal hygiene, on the variable in the behavior with the application of personal hygiene from the Chi-Square test output  it is known that the Exact Sig (2-sided) value in the Fisher Exact Test is 0.008 0.05. The conclusion of this research shows that there is a relationship knowledge and behavior with the application of personal hygiene. Suggestions in this study are expected that food handlers before doing work should wash their hands using soap with clean running water

Abstract

Abstract. The Press Industry is located in Pejaten Village, Tabanan Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of attitudes and length of work to complaints of low back pain to workers in the brick press industry in Pejaten Village, Tabanan Regency. This type of research is observational descriptive. The population in this study was 48 brick press workers who worked in the press brick industry in Pejaten Village, Tabanan Regency. The collected data is processed and presented in table form. The results of the analysis used the fisher exact test to get a value of 0.003 at α = 0.05. The variable was calculated by CC and obtained has 0.500 (strong). And the results of the analysis of the length of work using the fisher exact test obtained a value of 0.017 at α = 0.05, the variable was calculated by CC and the results were 0.347 (moderate).

Abstract

Abstract.Garbage is commonly found in public places which become a public health problem because public place is a meeting place of all kinds of society with all kinds of diseases possessed by the society. Trash is also included in the waste. Where waste is all solid and liquid materials are discharges derived from human activities individually as well as the results of other activity activities. This type of research is used by observation (direct observation) by using descriptive method. Sources of waste contained in Bali Zoo come from visitors or from activities or activities carried out at Bali Zoo Wildlife Park. Where from the implementation of the research obtained results that is on the solid waste management (garbage) obtained results meet the requirements while in the liquid waste is said not to qualify. The conclusion of this research is the number of waste management facilities that need to be considered, such as waste bins that do not have a lid and the absence of waste water treatment plant facilities in Bali Zoo.Keywords: waste, sanitation, wildlife park

Abstract

Abstract : Sanitation of public places is an effort to monitor and prevent losses as a result of unkempt public places that result in the transmission of various types of diseases, environmental pollution and health disorders. Public facilities are one of them market. Dirty and rundown markets can be a place of vector breeding and a place of spread of infectious diseases for buyers and sellers, therefore there needs to be sanitary supervision in the market. The purpose of this study is to find out the sanitation situation of Blahbatuh Public Market in Blahbatuh Subdistrict, Gianyar Regency 2021. The type of research used descriptively is to review the sanitation of Blahbatuh Public Market including buildings, sanitation facilities and market security by using observation sheets. The results of the research on the sanitary condition of Blahbatuh Public Market obtained include buildings with a score of 14 categories. Sanitation facilities with a score of 18 categories are sufficient. Market security with a score of 5 categories is enough. In general, the sanitary condition of Blahbatuh Public Market scored 37 with enough categories. Researchers recommend treating and equipping market means. To traders and visitors to jointly maintain market facilities and market cleanliness. Keywords: Situation, Sanitation, Market
