Abstract

Tuberculosis is a major health problem in the community. Tuberculosis is ranked first as the cause of death due to infectious diseases. Therefore, compliance is required to take medication for the healing process so that it can break the chain of transmission. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of family support with adherence to taking anti-tuberculosis drugs (OAT) in TB patients. The design of this study used a correlational method with a cross sectional approach on 61 respondents with a purposive sampling technique in three health centers under the Malang District Health Office in February 2019. Data collection used a family support questionnaire and medication compliance questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate analysis and spearman test in bivariate analysis. The results of the percentage of respondents who have good support 82%, enough support 10%, and support less 8%. The percentage of respondents who obeyed was 89%, and did not comply with 11%. The Spearman test results obtained p value <0.001 which is smaller than 0.05 and r value (coefficient correlation) 0.784.The statistical calculation that has been done has a meaningful meaning or there is a relationship between the family support variable and the medication compliance variable. So it is recommended to involve families in the TB treatment process.

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Life Behavior (PHBS) is all health behavior carried out on awareness so that family members or families can help themselves in the health sector. The effectiveness of this program can be achieved if supported by all elements of society, especially health cadres in each village. Efforts can be made to increase cadre knowledge by providing counseling using audio-visual media. The purpose of this study was to analyze the increase in knowledge of  cadres about PHBS before and after counseling with audio-visual media. This study uses a correlative research design while the sampling technique used in this study is total sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 28 peoples. Based on the analysis test with the Paired Samples T-Test with α 0.05 the results of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.022. From the results of the test, it was found that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) <α (0.05). Because of the value of Sig. (2-tailed) <α, then Ho is rejected, which means there is a difference in the level of understanding/knowledge of respondents to PHBS before and after counseling with audio-visual media. There was an increase in respondents' understanding of PHBS after being given counseling with audio-visual media, where the level of understanding/positive knowledge of respondents towards PHBS increased from 21% to 36%. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that there be a comprehensive provider of information to each cadre to increase knowledge.

Abstract

Introduction: Stroke is a disease that occurs due to blockage/disruption of blood flow to the brain, which can cause brain tissue death. Ischemic stroke is caused by a sudden loss of blood to the brain and will cause loss of nerve function to paralysis so that stroke patients experience mobility limitations. To overcome this problem can be done with passive range of motion therapy. Method: the method used in this study is a literature review. The source of the article uses the PubMed and Google Scholar databases. Result: Based on 8 journals obtained and reviewed, the results show that passive range of motion therapy is effective for increasing muscle strength in ischemic stroke patients. This exercise can stimulate muscle, which can increase neuromuscular, muscle and chemical activity. Conclusion: Passive range of motion therapy has benefits for increasing muscle strength. In addition, this therapy can also avoid complications of ischemic stroke due to physical mobility barriers experienced by clients such as limitations of some or all of the range of motion, stiffness, muscle weakness, postural disorders, muscle atrophy, pain, joint contractures that can cause disturbances in activities daily living (ADL).

Abstract

Perimenopausal or early postmenopausal women can be prescribed Hormone Replacement Therapy to help them manage moderate to severe menopausal symptoms. One of the primary concerns is that Hormone Replacement Therapy may escalate breast cancer risk. Natural polyphenols' anticancer properties are now a popular issue in many research labs over the last two decades. Polyphenols may be useful in the development of anticancer drugs. Cowpea (Vigna unguiculata) contains a high concentration of flavonoids, phenolic compounds, and antioxidants. Phytoestrogens can bind to mammalian ER and act as inadequate aromatase inhibitors, that might lower the breast cancer risk through limiting circulating estrogen levels.
