Abstract

During the work-from-home (WFH) period, employees faced a new situation. Employees are required to adapt to the new situation. Changes in situations and demands and problems from working in the office to working at home, especially during a pandemic, certainly require leaders to show proper leadership behavior. Leaders need to find ways to increase employee work productivity, especially when the WFH work system begins to be implemented. This research was conducted to examine the impact of transactional and transformational leadership on productivity and performance effectiveness during the implementation of remote systems or work-from-home. Researchers chose transactional and transformational leadership because in writing this scientific paper, researchers found many previous articles that raised transactional and transformational leadership types as their research topic, but rarely examined the extent to which transactional and transformational leadership styles affect WFH effectiveness and employee work productivity. This study used a survey method with samples of employees who used remote systems during the Covid-19 pandemic era. Data collection was carried out using an online questionnaire using Google Forms. The statistical tool used to process the data is SPSS Statistics 22. Researchers also hope that the results of this research can become new insights for businesspeople in dealing with changes in the work-from-home system or remote system.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the financial performance of PT Bank BTPN Tbk., before and after the acquisition by Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation in 2014. Acquisition is a process in which a company buys majority shares or all shares of another company to expand the business or take over the business. Research is conducted using financial report data for 2010 – 2013 (pre-acquisition) and 2014 – 2018 (post-acquisition). The hypothesis was tested using a significance number <0.05 using parametric statistical tests for normally distributed data and non-parametric statistics for non-normally distributed data. The results showed that the average financial ratios studied (ROA, ROE, NIM, LDR, NPL, CAR, and BOPO) tended to decrease after an acquisition was made. Based on statistical tests, there is a significant difference for ROE, NIM, and LDR and the other ratios (ROA, NPL, CAR, and BOPO) show the opposite.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the hardiness personality variables and work motivation in employees of home Industry. This is interesting because the majority of employees in home indrustiy have employees with different levels of education and characteristics from companies in general. This research is a quantitative research model with a correlational design, the population is taken as many as 89 people who are employees in one of the home industry production companies. Hypothesis testing in this study uses the Pearson (Product Moment) correlation technique  which is aimed at determining the relationship between the independent variable (X) of hardiness personality  and the dependent variable (Y) of work motivation. Based on the calculation of the analysis, r = 0.786 was obtained with sig = 0.000 < 0.050 which means that there is a positive relationship between  personality hardiness and work motivation. Based on the results of determining the category of hardiness personality score information from 89 subjects,  who had a hardiness personality with a low category of 12 employees or 13%, who had a medium hardiness personality  of 47 employees or 53%, and who had a  high  hardiness  personality of 30 employees or 34%. Meanwhile, based on the results of determining the category description of the work motivation score of  89 subjects, who had work motivation with a low category of 5 employees or 6%, who had moderate work motivation of 30 employees or 34%, who had high motivation of  40 employees or 45%, and who had very high work motivation of 14 employees or 16%. So that further research is expected to develop research designs to a wider format with much larger population size. The hope is that it will be able to bring up findings related to hardiness with work motivation in employees.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the interest rate policy (rediscount policy) by Bank Indonesia to create financial stability and price stability in Indonesia. This research used data on the SBI interest rate, exchange rate of rupiah to US dollar, inflation rate, and money supply in Indonesia from January 2014 to December 2021. The econometric model to test the research hypothesis is the structural equation model - partial least square. The results showed that the interest rate instrument to create financial stability in Indonesia was appropriate because the interest rate had a negative impact on the exchange rate. It means that if desired exchange rate will decrease (the rupiah appreciated) it can be done by increasing the interest rate. However, the policy of raising the interest rate can cause the inflation rate to rise. Because the interest rate has a positive effect on the inflation rate. The money supply can mediate the effect of the interest rate on the inflation rate in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study set out to ascertain how solvency and profitability impacted financial performance. Using a purposive sampling technique, a mining business in the coal subsector that will be listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2016–2022, serves as the research sample. The debt to equity ratio (DER) is used to assess the solvency variable. Total assets turnover (TATO), a measure of asset utilization, and net profit margin (NPM), a measure of operating performance, are used to measure the profitability variable. Return on total assets (ROA) is a metric used to assess financial performance. The findings of this study show that all independent variables—DER, TATO, NPM, and ROA—affect the dependent variable of financial performance simultaneously and partially.
