DIVAGATRA - Jurnal Penelitian Mahasiswa Desain is a regular journal published by the Fakultas Desain, Universitas Komputer Indonesia. DIVAGATRA is published twice a year in April and October. This scientific journal aims to disseminate the scientific works of Diploma (D3), Bachelor (S1) and Master Degree (S2) students in the fields of design, art and culture. The focus and scope of articles that can be published by this journal are in the fields of Interior Design, Visual Communication Design and Graphic Design as well as other design and culture fields.

Abstract

Occupational therapy is one type of therapy that is specifically applied to someone who has special health problems, so that they can return to normal activities. Occupational therapy is one of the effective methods for children to be able to find out what learning methods are suitable for them. With occupational therapy, parents have hope that their children can carry out daily activities independently. This method usually involves the game and the surrounding facilities as a tool. One thing to note is the selection of shape patterns. The pattern of forms applied to the therapy room has a role in the child's therapy process. These patterns can be in the form of games, furniture facilities or treatment of floors or walls. The purpose of this study was to find out the concept of the shape pattern applied to the occupational therapy room at the my super kidz child development clinic and its benefits for children.

Abstract

This article highlights the role of parents in assisting online learning for elementary school students. In the distance learning process, many obstacles are found, especially for parents, because elementary grade students still need special attention. The object of this final project design is the parents of elementary school (SD) children. The solution to this problem is to invite and change the mindset of parents by informing the role of online learning mentoring for elementary school students. The purpose of the design is to persuade and provide socialization about the role of parents in mentoring, to understand learning styles and mentoring strategies when learning online, so that parents participate in mentoring children's learning. It is hoped that this design will provide benefits to the community, especially parents who are aware of the importance of assisting children's online learning while at home.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic affects aspects of life such as shopping, work, to education. Teaching and learning activities that were originally carried out offline or face-to-face have been replaced by online learning. The shift from offline to online has implications for everyone involved, especially children and parents, who play a key role in the continuity of online education. Psychological effects are unavoidable when children or parents study at home. Cases of verbal abuse or verbal abuse of children by parents are increasing. The age of children who experience verbal abuse is 10-12 years old, elementary school education level. Children are trying to understand themselves and compare with their peers at that age. Children will find it difficult to adjust to their environment without parental guidance. Poor communication between parents and children is the cause of verbal abuse. The goal to be achieved is to prevent verbal abuse in children by parents with poster media through Instagram social media to convey information on how to communicate well between mother and child.

Abstract

Because humans continue to grow then change, technology continues to develop, and brand competition is increasingly fierce, to be able to compete with other brands in the current era, Yessika Roti tries to keep up with the times to adjust to consumers in the current era, while caring for consumers who might be affected by times, such as improving products and services. Even though parents already have customers, in seeing the potential of new customers in the current era, it is needed to expand market share to reach a younger age, to accelerate consumer turnover in various generations, both in identity, products, and services. So we need a visual identity that supports it all, while communicating updates and developments in the image of existing products or services, to strengthen the brand identity that is able to compete with other similar brands in the current era. But the visual identity that is used today is quite long, and the audience will have difficulty in knowing the improvements that will be made if there is no change, so that it requires designing a new visual identity, as an initial step to support an increase in market share that will be done.

Abstract

Humans have various views about pets. Pets are animals that have been tamed and live side by side with humans. Information about the influence of pets on the psychology of children is not widely disseminated. Psychology is an important thing in human life. However, people do not understand psychology. Pets have an influence on a child's psychology which includes social, mental, mental, and physical. Pets can help children practice various positive things through activities that are done together. Pets have no breed limit to keep. The types of pets in this design are dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, and fish. The number of people who do not care and understand about psychology is the basis of the problem. Illustrated books become media in the design that provide information about children's activities with pets and their effects on children.

Abstract

Global warming is a factor increasing the greenhouse effect gases. This is caused by human activities. One way to reduce this impact is to save energy in the construction sector by using environmentally friendly materials that can be recycled. Mycotech is a start-up that develops business from the mushroom biotechnology sector. Mycotech makes environmentally friendly building materials using mycelium as a natural adhesive. Therefore, Mycotech has an important role to continue to develop Mycotech products so that development industry players can switch to using environmentally friendly materials. By creating information media in the form of a Company Profile Booklet which contains information about Mycotech Company with the aim of attracting the interest of industry players to know more about the functions and benefits obtained.

Abstract

Many regions in Indonesia produce batik with their own characteristics, one of which is Incung batik from Kerinci Regency, precisely in the city of Sungai Penuh, Jambi Province. At first, Incung batik itself was made only by writing the characters and the colors used were generally dark red and black. However, now that it has many variants of colors and motifs, the coloring materials commonly used are materials derived from nature and synthetic materials. The motifs applied to the Incung batik today, originally came from writing (scripts) which had begun to be less well known by the people of Kerinci Regency, especially among the younger generation, the Incung script was used by the Kerinci people in ancient times to document history, write literature, spells, as well as customary law written on palm leaves, bamboo, and buffalo horns. Therefore, the designer tries to use information media in the form of animation media to attract attention as well as increase knowledge and increase public insight, especially the younger generation in Kerinci Regency so that they are more familiar with Incung batik itself.

Abstract

Hero is a term for anyone who is extraordinarily meritorious to his nation. Through the figure of a hero, a symbol of struggle, defending the truth, and sacrifice, always maintained and passed down from generation to generation. The hero is also one of the important figures that must be known by all the people around him, not only remembering in his heart and thanking him, but also by imitating the attitudes and actions of the heroes. However, heroes who have many values that can be imitated are increasingly being forgotten by the younger generation. Early recognition is needed so that children can recognize and know the heroes of national independence in order to become a better generation, especially teenagers in Indonesia. The purpose of the design is to introduce the history and national independence hero figures from the Maluku Islands, namely Martha Khristina Tiahahu. The media used as a solution to the problem is by using interactive information communication, looks fun, and interesting, also is in demand by the public, especially teenagers, and can be accessed easily so that information about this problem can be spread out to the general public, especially students. Animation is a film that is the result of hand work in the form of moving images.

Abstract

Berpakaian yang digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dapat menampilkan berbagai fungsi dan presentasi. Bahkan salah satunya adalah bentuk komunikasi dalam pakaian yang digunakan dapat menjadi sarana untuk menyampaikan pesan yang bersifat nonverbal atau penyampaian informasi tanpa menggunakan kata-kata. Salah satu bagian dari penyampaian informasi ini adalah penggunaan jaket untuk aktifitas sehari-hari dan salah satunya adalah jaket Wild. Tujuan dari perancangan promosi ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tentang jaket Wild yang belum dikenal karena kondisi yang ada di internet tidak difokuskan dan kurang spesifik membahas pada produk Wild. Sementara itu, yang dipaparkan oleh penulis adalah terdapat promosi yang mengenai jaket Wild dengan memiliki karya desain digital untuk menginformasi yang menarik pada poster. Akan tetapi masih banyak khususnya kalangan anak pendaki yang belum mengentahui karya jaket Wild. Maka dari perancangan ini adalah karya jaket Wild yang dihasilkan merancang media poster digital untuk mempromosikan atau mengiklankan karya jaket brand tersebut, agar nantinya karya jaket Wild lebih dikenal masyarakat, khususnya kalangan anak pendaki.

Abstract

The Losarang Dayak community has existed since 1970, and is still surviving today. This community has nothing to do with the Kalimantan Dayak Tribe. The Losarang Dayak are not a traditional tribe, but a pure community founded by Paheran Takmad Diningrat in Losarang Indramayu. Having different characteristics makes this community part of the uniqueness of the Indramayu community. Some of the people of Indramayu know the existence of this community but not its history, the importance of public knowledge about the history of this community to increase mutual respect and respect and increase public insight and knowledge about the life of the Losarang Dayak Community. Previously, there had been information media in the form of books that explained the history and life values of the Losarang Dayak community by Abdurrahman AL-Muhaili. However, the book was printed in limited and academic nature. Therefore, it is necessary to design additional information regarding the history of the Losarang Dayak Community with the aim of presenting information in visual form packaged through motion graphic animation media published on the youtube platform so that it is easily accessible, and conveyed to the target audience.
