Abstract

The hospital is a health service provider facility where the health quality determines satisfaction of patient which has an impact on patient trust in health facilities. This study aimed to determine the effect of service quality and turnaround time on patient trust. This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional approach. The research location was at Mardi Waluyo Hospital, Blitar City, with an outpatients as the study sample. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire which was then analyzed using SPSS. The results of linear regression test indicated there was a positive and significant impact on service quality (0,00<0,05) of turnaround time. Quality of service and turnaround time have a positive and significant effect (0,03 < 0,05). However, the completion time with the patient's trust does not have a positive and significant effect (0,19>0,05). Quality of service has a positive and significant effect on patient trust (0,00<0,05). The conclusion of this study showed that quality of servicesperformed at Mardi Waluyo Hospital, Blitar City was influenced trust of patient.

Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemi are disrupting the food security directly such as food system, and indirectly such as household income, food access and health. Examining changes in food and non-food expenditure both before and during the covid-19 epidemic is the goal of this study. In South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, a descriptive study of both urban and rural areas was employed as the research design. This research uses a cross sectional study research design, the type of data used is secondary data using the 2019-2021 National Socio-Economic Survey data. The results showed that during the pandemic, food expenditure increased, whereas prepared foods, beverages, and cigarette consumption decreased. Different items and services, footwear and hats, as well as party/festival ceremonies, also saw a decrease in non-food expenditure. With a food share of 67,7% in 2020 and  64,3% in 2021, it indicates the presence of food insecurity based on income class (quintiles 1 and 2). In both urban and rural areas, the economic wellbeing level has decreased as a result of the covid-19 pandemic. The conclusion are in South Sulawesi Province the comparison before and during the covid-19 pandemic, food expenditure has increased, non-food expenditure has decreased in 2020 and 2021. People with low incomes are indicated to be food insecure both in urban and rural areas during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced hospital management need to take quick action in overcoming the crisis while maintaining and improving the relationships with the customers in order to remain satisfied with the quality of service in hospitals. The study’s goal was to use SRVQUAL Scale to describe the impact of service quality on patient satisfaction during the Covid-19 (reliability, tangibles, empathy, assurance, responsiveness). This paper  was a literature review sourced from Pubmed and ProQuest articles with keywords ("quality of service" or "service quality" or "quality of health services") AND ("patient satisfaction" OR "patient perspective" OR "patient experience") AND ("covid" OR "pandemic"). Six publications were found to meet the inclusion criteria following a review utilizing the PRISMA flow chart. The findings shown that in the Covid-19 pandemic era, all aspects of service quality (reliability, tangibles, empathy, assurance, responsiveness) have positve and significant impact on patient satisfaction. The study’s findings can helphospital management understand the issues that must be taken into account in order for patients to continue to be happy with the standard of care provided by hospitals, particularly during Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Nationally, production of broiler eggs chicken continues to increase, however production of broiler eggs chicken in Aceh Province is still low to meet the needs of the people. This study aimed to analyze the forecasting of egg production and demand for broiler chickens in Aceh Province as a source of animal protein contribution. The study was conducted in Aceh Province, which consists of 23 districts/cities. This study used descriptive quantitative methods in narrating a series of time series results obtained from secondary data. A forecasting analysis was carried out on the population, production and egg needs of purebred chickens in Aceh Province for a period of 3 years (2022-2024). There was tendency to decrease from forecasting results (2022, 2023, 2024) on the egg production of purebred chickens in Aceh Province. The egg production of broiler chickens was below the average production value in previous years, which was 8649.0 tons/year. There was a tendency to increase the demand for purebred chicken eggs from 31,008 tons per year to 32,083 tons/year for 2022 to 2024. Based on forecasting results on production and population needs for purebred chicken eggs in Aceh Province, it is not sufficient for the consumption of chicken eggs as a contribution to meet the needs of animal protein.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on society, including the health care sector. Moreover, health services only accept health alternatives through traditional medicine. The research aimed to explore the alteration of herbal consumption during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in women who had a role in providing food security in the Temanggung area's families. The study used a qualitative method with a narrative approach; data collection was carried out by means of direct in-depth interviews to explore information about the experiences of participants regarding the shift in the meaning of herbal medicine consumption during the Covid-19 pandemic among women in Dusun Dongkelan. The results of this study indicated that the habit of consuming herbal medicine was passed down from generation to generation and the belief in the benefits of herbal medicine was very attached to the participants. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the consumption of herbal medicine was still carried out because they believed that herbal medicine could maintain a healthy body and increase immunity. Even though the price of herbal medicine rose during the Covid-19 pandemic, they still consumed herbal medicine because they believed that the herbs they had consumed from the past until then could help maintain their body's health during this Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Stunting is a disorder of children's growth and development characterized by height or length below the age standard due to repeated infections and long-term chronic nutrition. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with stunting in Aek Nauli II Village. This type of quantitative research was cross-sectional design. This research was conducted in Aek Nauli II Village, Pollung District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. The sample of this research were a total sampling with 98 samples of toddlers in Aek Nauli II Village. Data collection used a questionnaire with structured questions, which consisted of the mother's knowledge variables and stunting parameters (under-five age and height (TB), weight (BB)). Analysis of data processing were univariate, bivariate, and multivariate. Bivariate analysis were chi-square test and multivariate analysis with multiple logistic regression. There was a relationship between maternal age (p-value 0.048), education (p-value =0,002), and knowledge (p-value =0,017) with stunting. Education and knowledge of mothers under five are the dominant factors related to stunting in children aged 0-59 months in Aek Nauli II Village. This study concludes that maternal age, education, and knowledge are related to stunting. The government needs to pay special attention to increasing the education level of prospective mothers in the future, providing various information related to toddler health, parenting patterns, and nutritional intake for children.

Abstract

The implementation of health protocols in the community has decreased after the decline in Covid-19 cases globally, especially in Indonesia. People assume that they will be immune to the virus after being vaccinated, and the President's discourse that people can already take off their masks outside the room, resulting in decreased public compliance in implementing health protocols. This study aimed to analyze factors related to community compliance in implementing the Covid-19 post-vaccination health protocol at the Matiti Health Center, Humbang Hasundutan Regency in 2022. The cross-sectional method was used in the study design. Data collection was in the form of primary data by giving questionnaires to the public who visited the Maititi Health Center with a total sample of 237 people using accidental sampling. The results of the bivariate analysis show that the variables age, education, knowledge, attitudes and availability of Covid-19 prevention facilities and infrastructure are related to community compliance in implementing health protocols after Covid-19 vaccination. It can be concluded that the dominant variables related to community compliance in implementing the post-vaccination Covid-19 health protocol are education and the availability of Covid-19 prevention facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

A healthy diet and regular physical activity are key components in improving your lifestyle to maintain normal blood pressure. We wanted to evaluate the effect of mindfulness practice on lifestyle behavior in hypertension patients in Makassar, South Sulawesi. The research design used a quasi-experimental design with approached a one-group pre-post-test design. Based on the results of the study, it was found to decrease the average value of systolic blood pressure for subjekts after giving mindfulness and self-management techniques, from 151,90 mmHg to 147,10 mmHg. In the statistical test of the effect of giving mindfulness and self-management techniques, the p-value = 0,000. Meanwhile, in diastolic blood pressure, there was a decrease in the average blood pressure from 93,70 mmHg to 90,50 mmHg or 3,20 mmHg. While the statistical test obtained a value of p = 0,000. The conclusion, there is a significant effect of controlling mindfulness and self-management techniques on controlling diastolic blood pressure for hypertension patients in the Public Health Center, Makassar City.

Abstract

The coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemik brings pressure and challenges on health workers, especially nurses. One of the effects is psychological pressure. This study aimed to explore the experience of nurses in managing emotions while involved in Covid-19 care. This research was a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach. Data collection was carried out using interview guidelines which was then analyzed using data content analysis. Total sample 7 participants. The results showed 3 outcome themes, namely emotional status when involved in Covid-19 treatment: scared, anxiety and stress. The theme of the support system is: hospital management, colleagues, family and the theme of coping and self care style: distraction, improving spiritually and professionally at work. The conclusion of this study showed nurses are able to adapt and have good coping and self-care while involved in the treatment of Covid-19, besides that the support system from the hospital, colleagues, family is given so that it suppresses emotions while involved in the treatment of Covid-19.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) still has the highest number to date with increasingly diverse complications, one of which is diabetic foot ulcers (DFU). One of the efforts to prevent DFU is to provide education to patients to increase knowledge in performing foot care. In providing education, the use of local languages ??that are easily understood by patients will have a good impact on the process of receiving information. This study aimed to analyze the patient's knowledge in performing foot care before and after providing foot care education using the local language. Research design one group pre-post test was conducted in one of the Makassar City health centers with a total of 47 subjects. Knowledge measurement was carried out before giving education and evaluation was carried out after four weeks. Patients were given foot care packages that are in accordance with the contents of the educational video. The results of statistical tests showed that there was a significant improvement in knowledge of foot care before and after education with a p value = 0,000. Education using local languages ??could significantly increase knowledge of foot care in DM patients.
