Abstract

Anemia is caused by the lack number of red blood cells to distribute oxygen to system and fetus, anemia can be known if the content of Hb < 11 mg. The purpose of this research was to find out the relation of nutrition knowledge, food supply, and obedience in consuming Fe tablet with anemia in Pertiwi Health Center South Sulawesi Province. The type of research used was analytical survey with cross sectional design and collected using questionnaire with total samples of 158 people. The result of this research showed that there was relation of knowledge and anemia (p=0,009), there was relation of food supply and anemia (p=0,004), and there is relation of obedience in consuming Fe tablet with anemia (p=0,004). It is suggested to pregnant mother to always pay attention to the fetus by maintaining the food supply and routinely consume Fe tablets during pregnancy, because it affects the fetus health, growth and development.

Abstract

Based on the results of Health Research in 2013, the prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia at the adults of >18 years were 25,8%. West java is the fifth largest province with the highest prevalence of hypertension of 29,4%. Based on data from Departement of Health of Depok City (2016), hypertension is a disease that many people in Depok City experience. This research aimed to Analyze the correlation between macro nutrition intake, physical activity and levels of stress with event of hypertension in the Depok City. The research with cross sectional study design in 80 people by using purposive sampling. Macro nutrition intake was obtained from interview of food recall 1x24 hours, physical activity was obtained using International Physical Activity Questionnare (IPAQ), and stress level was obtained using Perceived Stress Scale (PSS). The correlation test of this study used spearman ordinal. The result showed that there was no significant relationship between carbohydrate intake. There were significant correlations between protein intake, fat intake, physical activity and stress level with event of hypertension. The older a person is, the higher the risk of suffering from hypertension.

Abstract

Dengue fever is an increasing public health problem in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The Dengue endemic area and dengue fever cases occur for the last 3 years is Maros Regency. The purpose of this study was to conduct a study of the relationship of environmental factors with the incidence of dengue in Maros Regency. Type of analytic research with cross sectional study approach. The number of subject in this study was 112 subjects. Data collection through interview using questioner. Data analysis using chi square statistical test. The result showed there is no relation of incidence of dengue fever disease with water management with p value=0.501, waste management with p value=0.000 have relationship with dengue fever incidence. Therefore, it is hoped that the related parties should improve health education and provide waste bins.

Abstract

The quality of health services is that refers to the level of perfection of health services, which one party can lead to satisfaction with each patient. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship of patient’s perception based on age, sex, education level, and knowledge with quality of health care services in the East Mawasangka. This type of research was observational analytic with cross sectional study approach. Sample in this study were 160 patients who came for treatment with BPJS Health status. The sampling technique using total sampling. Data were tested using chi-square. Based on the results of research shows that there is a relationship between patient’s perception based on age and health service quality (p = 0,043). There is no relationship between patient’s perception based on sex (p = 0,066), education level (p = 0,071) and knowledge( p = 0,071) with the quality of health workers in the East Mawasanka Health Center. It is recommended that there is a need for cooperation among health workers so that the utilization of services is carried out properly.

Abstract

Banana peel flour is a by-product of processed bananas that have not been widely used. Brownies is a food that is loved by many people from the age of children to adulthood. The aimed of this study was to analyse the effect of substitution of Kepok banana peel flour on the formulation of brownies. There were 4 treatments of the formulation, consists of: F0 (without banana peel flour), F1 45%, F2 50% and F3 55%. All of the formula were tested organoleptically, the test including colour, flavour, aroma, and texture. Furthermore, the best formula compared with the control (F0) on the proximate level. Based on the organoleptic test, the best formula was F1 (45% banana peel flour), this product has 32.99% of water content, 1.37% of ash, 15.04% of fat, 5.93% of protein, 44.67% of carbohydrates, and 1.51% of fiber. The control formula (F0), contain 31.18% of water, 0.73% of ash, 12.23% of fat, 8.22% of protein, 47.64% of carbohydrate, and 1.55% of fiber. Based on t-test, the water content, ash, fat, protein and carbohydrate of control formula (F0) and F1 (45% banana peel flour) were different statistically (P<0.05). We conclude that, banana peel flour can be used to substitute wheat flour until 45%, also can be used to make other product that similar with brownies.

Abstract

Immunization is giving the body immunity to a disease by putting something in the body so that the body is resistant to diseases that are endemic or dangerous to someone. Immunization comes from the word immune, which means immune or resistant. This needs special attention from health workers because with a good level of knowledge will help reduce mortality in infants not being immunized. Purpose of this research was to know the description of your mother's level of knowledge about infant immunization. Researchers used descriptive research. The sampling technique uses the accidental sampling method where the sample is all those who happen to come to work at the Batua Makassar Public Health Center at the time of the study. The method of collecting data is based on the willingness of the subjekts by filling out statements and signing the consent form to be subjekts and filling in the questionnaire based on the time and place agreed by the subjekts then presented in the data tabulation. This research showed that of 40 subjekts, 25 subjekts (62.5%) had sufficient knowledge in the category, 8 subjekts (20%) had knowledge in the good category and 7 subjekts (17.5%) in the knowledge category were lacking. Therefore, the important role of nurses to do promotive and preventive efforts on matters relating to immunization programs for infants and can provide more information to the public so that people know more about immunization.

Abstract

Cigarettes was one of the industrial products and international commodities that contain around 1,500 chemicals harmful to human health, but the behavior of some Indonesian teenagers had assumed that smoking is an inevitable need, a need to get along, a need to relax or share other reasons which makes smoking a normal thing. This study aimed to know the relationship between adolescent knowledge about smoking with smoking behavior in adolescents. Type of research used in this study was descriptive correlational. The number of samples used by 45 respondents. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate gang analysis using the chi-quare test. The result showed that most of the adolescents have high knowledge about smoking namely 15 people (33.3%) of respondents, with the smoking behavior of adolescents showing that the majority of adolescents amounted to 34 people (75.6%) respondents, the relationship of knowledge with adolescent smoking behavior shows that adolescents who have high knowledge with smoking behavior are 34 people (75.6%) respondents. Chi square test results show there is a relationship between knowledge and smoking behavior of adolescents, so that the value of p = 0.002 (p> 0.05). Adolescents with high knowledge experience smoking behavior more than adolescents who lack knowledge about smoking behavior. It expected that the results of this study would be one of the sources of information for the local health office and health center in overcoming disease problems arising from smoking with adolescent smoking behavior. This is valuable information for conducting or determining adolescent smoking behavioral habits.

Abstract

Coconut pulp is a byproduct of making coconut milk. The process of making coconut pulp flour is not widely used. This study aimed to analyze the difference in proximate levels (water, ash, protein, fat, carbohydrates, and total fiber) from organoleptic test results. This study used an experimental design with a Completely Randomized Design to find out the best quality coconut pulp flour that contains nutritional value. Formula T57 was the formula chosen from the organoleptic test with 5.70% water content, 7.30% fat, 4.91% protein, 0.34% ash content, 2.37% fiber, and 81.75% carbohydrate. It is necessary to test the shelf life of the selected formula.

Abstract

Planning and procurement of medicine phases is part of that was important in meet the needs of medication at health. For puskesmas Meo-Meo, a problem which often happened that is they did not in accordance between the number of for medicines that are needed and received. The purpose of this study was to find information about the supply of shrubs mainly regarding the process needs planning and procurement of medicine. This type of research was qualitative research using a descriptive approach. The informant in this research consisting of 4 informants that was a responsible for the procurement of medicine in the city health department Baubau, the head of, being responsible for the drug puskesmas, and staff a pharmacy in puskesmas Meo-Meo. Research showed that the availability of drugs in puskesmas Meo-Meo had not been in accordance with the needs. This was closely linked with the data conformity planning procurement medicine, the election medicine and stage compilation the use of medicine. Indicators consumption was the way traveled by researchers to able been given needs a drug used, because consumption drug seen as the projected amount of the drug needs years later. It is suggested that procedures and work systems planning the drug can be adapted to consumption and drug needs to responsible for drug and puskesmas staff Meo-meo to more attention to coordination and the mechanism use of medicine.

Abstract

Consumption of fruits and vegetables is one of the components in fulfilling balanced nutrition. Consumption of fruits and vegetables of the Indonesian population is still low, especially in school-age children or teenagers. This study aimed to analyze the effect of nutrition education with the normal lecturer and audiovisual media on knowledge and consumption pattern of fruit and vegetable of junior high school students. This research used a quasi-experimental design pretest-posttest one control group design in class VII SMPN 246 January-February 2017. Targets were selected through screening then selected who have an average of at least fruit and vegetable consumption. There were 2 groups in this study, lecture group and video combination lecture group, consisting of 36 subjects. Knowledge and consumption data of fruits were measured before and after the intervention. The intervention was carried out once and the post-test measurement 1 week after the intervention. Data analysis using t-test. Knowledge increases after getting education both in group lectures and video combination lectures. There was a significant increase in knowledge and consumption of fruits and vegetables after the intervention in the lecture group and the combination group. There was no difference in knowledge (p = 0,169), fruit consumption (p = 0,417) and vegetable consumption (p = 0,417) between students who were given nutrition education with lecture media and those who were given nutrition education with video combination lecture media.
