Abstract

The spread of the Covid-19 virus that has swept across the world has caused changes in various aspects, one of which is a change in the learning process, which was previously face-to-face, now learning during the pandemic is carried out online both in elementary, junior high, high school, and even in universities. In online learning, of course, there are many problems faced by students, teachers, and parents. One of the problems that arise is that educators are less able to innovate in making online learning media so that it causes students to experience a decrease in motivation and activity in learning, therefore there is a need for solutions to increase learning motivation, especially for elementary students. One of the media platforms used to increase children's motivation in online learning is by using the Quizziz application. The Quizizz application is one of the fun online learning application media that can be accessed by students and teachers easily and the use of the Quizziz application in giving quizzes to students is one of the targets of students to be even more active in learning and to provide additional learning motivation when learning online today.

Learning in the current era of the COVID-19 pandemic is carried out online, using screen-to-screen which is difficult in the teaching and learning process, both teachers and students in general. Learning using gadgets or gadgets that must be used by students. In this case, sometimes elementary school students actually abuse the use of technology that is outside the function of the student learning process. Student learning time is only 1-2 hours, they face the screen using a device. After that the children actually use these devices to play online games, play YouTube, play social media and others, which have an impact on the decreasing quality of children's learning. So from this there must be motivation to learn in improving learning in elementary school children. In general, elementary school children are not allowed to use devices, because their age is still vulnerable. Through this, that children must be closely monitored and they must really make the best use of their devices, so that later children can learn optimally through learning stages or learning projects. This learning project requires tiered learning which has a function as a form of student activity while at home in the current pandemic era. This learning project is intended for thematic learning, so that there are several lessons that will be made learning projects that can maximize learning in children.

Abstract

This pandemic has brought some impacts such as physical, psychological, social, and economic (Poudel & Subedi, 2020). Until now, all parties say that they have not found a way to overcome it because of the extreme situation that has never happened before. Empirical studies on the impact of the health crisis on physical, and mental health have become a priority to solve these arising problems (Schimmenti et al., 2020). Lockdown can affect the mental health of adolescents. The impact of lockdown or activity restriction can cause psychological stress on adolescents (Chen et al., 2020). Teens are supposed to be cut off from peers and school as everyone worries about illness and about their future which are beyond their control (Singh et al., 2020) Therefore this paper tries to contribute to overcoming these problems, especially in the adolescent age group. Basically, teenagers have creative potential, resilience, and resourceful, especially if they have supportive adults in their lives. Parents or adults around them need to talk with teenagers about their experiences during the Covid 19 pandemic and talk about any support they might need. Parents can help teenagers create a structure or activity plan during the Covid 19 pandemic. Although this plan may not be desirable at this time, it is something that is needed. Basically, teenagers need help to create and develop their strength and ability. Parents can help adolescents to build relationships with mental health resources either through school or in the community. They can set an example by finding healthy coping skills, such as meditation, peer support, counseling, and exercise.

This study aims to determine the ability to solve problems and teamwork (teamwork) in children aged 10 years using puzzles. This research is an experimental study with a quasi-experimental design: non-equivalent control group design. The participants in this study were 8 children aged 10 years consisting of 5 boys and 3 girls. The data collection in this study was the acquisition of time in the preparation of puzzles. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using the t-test (t-test). The results of this study indicate that the experimental group has faster problem solving than the control group because of the learning outcomes of teamwork.

Abstract

Pregnancy is one of the important events in a woman’s life. Having a positive and planned pregnancy will impact the psychological well-being of both mother and baby. This study describes the relationship between the affect and demographics of pregnant adolescents. Respondents consisted of 92 pregnant adolescents (19.6% trimester 1, 41.3% trimester 2 and 39.1% trimester 3), with an age range of 16 to 35 years (M = 18.99, SD = 2.899). Pregnant adolescents were asked to fill in the positive and negative influence scale (PANAS). The correlation coefficient of Cronbach’s alpha for the positive influence scale is 0.845. The correlation coefficient of Cronbach’s alpha for the negative influence scale is 0.676. Researchers used Chi-Square to determine the relationship between positive and negative influences with the demographic characteristics of adolescent mothers. The results of the description of the Positive affect were related to age (Asymp. Sig. = 0.000) and gestational age (Asymp. Sig. = 0.009). In contrast, the Negative affect was related to adolescent education (Asymp. Sig. = 0.013). These results underlie the process of adaptation of adolescent mothers in undergoing a healthy and planned pregnancy.
