Abstract

The development of curriculum in schools is currently required to make changes in implementing teacher-centered learning approaches into student-centered learning approaches. This is adjusted to the demands of learning that will affect the development of children in the future, where children must have thinking and learning skills. These skills include critical thinking skills, problem solving, collaboration, and communication skills. These skills are often said to be skills in the independent learning process that must be possessed by students. Students can have these skills if the teacher is able to develop learning with activities that challenge students to think critically in solving problems. Another aspect that is no less important is the Assessment or Assessment. Assessment can be given among students as feedback, by the teacher with an assessment rubric that has been prepared by the teacher or based on the performance and products they produce. To achieve the aforementioned objectives, a learning approach that is quite challenging for teachers is a project-based learning (PBL) approach.

Learning makes students bored and eventually lazy to learn. Researchers are trying to create new breakthroughs to increase student learning motivation to increase, namely by utilizing interactive learning media based on kahoot in brave learning. This study uses a literature review method where the data obtained from research comes from articles or journals that are relevant to the topic, or other people's research results are then analyzed again to draw a conclusion. The results of this research kahoot interactive media can be used in bold learning because of its easy use and includes a link or website so that it can be accessed by students. This interactive media also makes students not easily bored in the learning process. Learning that increases in fun can make students' learning motivation, this is because students do not feel bored easily when learning takes place, so students feel motivated and feel comfortable when learning using Kahoot media.

Abstract

The background of the research is the fact that learning outcomes are still below the KKM on social studies content, namely 80%. Researchers used Predict, Observe and Explain models in improving SD social studies learning outcomes. The research model design was classroom action research which was adapted from the model of Kemmis and Mc.Taggart. The tools used to collect data in this study were student and teacher observation data to see the application of the Predict, Observe and Explain models and evaluation sheets in measuring the improvement of learning outcomes. The research achievement can be seen from the application of the Predict, Observe and Explain model stages to students and teachers which exceed 90% and the percentage of learning outcomes exceeds 80%. Discussion, learning outcomes in cycle I is 52%, cycle II is 65% and cycle III is 100%. Student observations in the first cycle were 60%, the second cycle was 74, the third cycle was 92. Meanwhile, the teacher's observation in cycle I is 70, cycle II is 78, and cycle III is 96. It is concluded that the Predict, Observe and Explain model is very effective for teachers to increase their creative innovation abilities and can improve learning outcomes, especially in grade IV SD social studies content. In cycle I there are still weaknesses of students who have not adapted to the learning carried out by the teacher. The teacher still hasn't done all the steps from the Predict, Observe and Explain model so that it needs to be corrected in the second cycle. In the second cycle students were able to adapt to the learning model carried out by the teacher. The teacher has started to master the Predict, Observe and Explain model but has not reached the target so it needs improvement for the third cycle. from the third cycle student learning outcomes as well as student monitoring actions and teacher monitoring actions using the Predict, Observe, and Explain models are as expected. It can be said that the Predict, Observe, and Explain models are alternative models used in elementary schools.

Abstract

This type of research is an experimental study consisting of two classes with different treatments. This study aims to determine (1) critical thinking skills of students who are taught using virtual reality-based financial literacy, (2) critical thinking abilities of students taught using power point media-based financial literacy, (3) the effect of learning using virtual reality-based financial literacy on students' critical thinking skills. The population of this study were students of class VII B as the experimental group and class 7 A as the control group, at SMP N 2 Banjarnegara in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 school year, the sample was using the simple random sampling method. The research data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques. The results of descriptive statistical analysis are as follows: (1) The critical thinking ability of students who are taught using virtual reality-based financial literacy is in the high category with an average of 88 with a standard deviation of 12.836601 from a maximum score of 100, (2) Critical thinking skills students taught using virtual reality-based financial literacy are at an average of 66 with a standard deviation of 15.47284289. From the results of inferential statistical analysis, Fvalue <Ftable (0.6908436214 <1.85) so that H0 is rejected or there is a significant effect of learning using virtual reality-based financial literacy on students' critical thinking skills. Observations show that students are more interested in financial literacy using virtual reality because students feel the sensation of interacting with the real environment, visualizing abstract things to be easy to understand and increasing their imagination.
