Abstract

The economic crisis in 1997/1998 that was signed by depreciation rupiah almost destroyed the pillars of the economy. This exchange rate shock possibly will happen in the future like that happened in August 2007. At the same time, rupiah falled to the lowest level Rp. 9.410 per dollar (the exchange rate use the last month) in August 2007. The exchange rate of its daily until above Rp 9.500 per dollar (Sadewa, 2007). Therefore, it was needed indicator of theearly detection with build leading indicators the movement of the exchange rate in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is building leading indicators the movement of the exchangerate in Indonesia. It could give the capacity forecasting of the Indonesian economy of the movement direction in a manner the aggregate with the Business Cycle Analysis method andIts development. Empirical results showed that is received by four leading indicators and four coincident indicators. The real export, the real import, foreign currency deposit, and forexbanks demand deposits in foreign currency became the moving indicator preceded the exchange rate. Whereas, there are four indicators to coincident was foreign assets, interbank call money rate 1 day, the German share index (DAX), and the USA share index (Nasdaq). This condition indicated that the exchange rate rupiah really was affected by the external factor.

Abstract

Aloe vera’s industry is an important plant for the development of social, economy and environment. Bogor sub province is one of the area target for improving aloe vera small enterprise in Indonesia. The objective of his study is to analyze the impact of aloe vera enterprises on the social, economy and environment. The results showed that 14 desa in 9 kecamatan has potency to development of aloe vera’s enterprises. There are Kecamatan Kemang, Rancabungur, Bojong Gede, Pamijahan, Cibungbulang, Parung, Darmaga, Cijeruk dan Caringin. The sex of 91,30persen respondent is male, the background of education is dominated by Senior high school (38,89persen). The area of planting is 0.25 - 5 Ha. Theeffect of social is labor absorbent to reduce unemployment. The worker of Aloe vera was domitaned by the worker from outer family. The other effect improves earning distribution, saving and consumption community. The downstream industry of aloe vera were harvest and post harvest tools/machines andfertilizers. The upstream industry were aloe drinks, aloe foods, the raw materials for cosmetics and pharmacies. 85persen of Aloe planting produced solid wastes but it can be degradable and used for fertilizers.

Abstract

Capture fishery has an important role in the economic activity and livelihood among the people ofYogyakarta, but its dynamic interaction is not yet effective and still dominated by monopoly practices.This study has analyzed the feasibility and appropriate dynamic interaction for the development ofcapture fishing. The method developed in the study consisted of a cost-benefit analysis and SEM.Catching fish using sero, payang, gillnet, and krendet was found to be feasible and obtain net profits of Rp. 44,291,851, Rp. 91,202,416, Rp 47,585,387, and Rp 56,514,757, respectively. The most significant aspects of interaction determining the environments (internal, external, and industrial), business strategies, fishing industry performance, and development goals were management, social aspect, entry barrier, finance, and feedback period. For the construct interaction, the internal environment had a significant positive effect on the external environment, the external environment had a significant positive effect the industrial environment, and the business strategies had a significant positive effect on the goal of fishery development.

Abstract

The exploding societal movement based upon environmental concerns and consumer awareness is spreading all over the globe. As a result, consumers concern about environmental issues is growing significantly and marketers have realized the importance of introducing green cosmetic products.However, there is doubt whether this awareness and concern is translated into the right behavior. In this study, consumers’ attitudes, behaviors, perception and demographic factor were manipulated to determine their relative influence on willingness to pay for green cosmetic products. The results showed consumer’s age, education, income and ecoliteracy to be the consistent explanatory factor in predicting their willingness to pay. The result also suggested that attitude toward firm’s responsibilities and buying behavior which’s consider environment factor to be the consistent explanatory factor in predicting their willingness to pay. This study also examined the relationships between consumer’s attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavior control and green cosmetic buying intentions using the Theory of PlannedBehavior (TPB). This study revealed that at significance level ten percent, attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavior control correlates positively with intention.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to identified export supply growth of China’s natural rubber, analyzed factors of influenced export supply of Indonesian natural rubber to China, and also analyze the export growth strategic of Indonesian natural rubber. The description method is used to identified marketgrowth in Indonesian natural rubber. The second purposes answered by multiple linier regression with Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Export growth stategic have been analyzed by SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats). Based on The OLS result, variabel which make infuence for export supply of Indonesian natural rubber in China export price of Indonesian natural rubber to Chinain previous years, The world rice of synthetic rubber, GDP of China, lag export volume of Indonesian natural rubber to China. The growth strategic for increase Indonesian market in China are increase Indonesian natural rubber productivity. Increased productivity will come true by renew the planting ofrubber and to aplicating relationship between farmers and government plantage.
