Abstract

This research aims to design an effective Waste Water Treatment Plant (IPAL) system in the special port area of Persia (PT) in order to ensure the sustainability of mining operations while complying with environmental regulations. The IPAL design is based on assessing the topography, hydrological characteristics, and water quality of the catchment area. Water quality analysis is carried out both during the dry season and after rain, taking important parameters such as pH, Total Suspended Solids (TSS), iron (Fe), and manganese (Mn) into consideration. The results of this research provide important information for designing IPALs that comply with environmental conditions and applicable regulations. Based on the data that has been analyzed, it can be concluded that the proposed WWTP design is an effective solution in managing coal mining wastewater in this port area.

Abstract

MRI image evaluation of cystic ovarian neoplasms was done manually and is generally carried out by Radiologists using a manual technique called linear measurement. This technique has some weaknesses, including being considered a rough calculation estimate because measurements are made on only one largest slice and are vulnerable to subjectivity factors. This research applied a digital image processing program based on Matlab using a segmentation process and active contour Laplacian of Gaussian (LoG) in the measurement and calculation of the volume of cystic ovarian neoplasms. Analyze the differences in measurement results and find out which technique is better in the calculation of cystic ovarian neoplasm volume between techniques of linear measurement and techniques of active contour Laplacian of Gaussian (LoG). The research was done with 32 images of abdominal-pelvic MRI images with clinical cystic ovarian neoplasms, and measurements and calculations of the volume of cystic ovarian neoplasms were carried out using the technique linear measurement and active contour Laplacian of Gaussian (LoG). Measurement and calculation are done by Radiologists as an observer with data analysis using statistical processing. Analysis of MRI images of abdominal-pelvic MRI images with clinical cystic ovarian neoplasms using linear measurement and active contour Laplacian of Gaussian (LoG) techniques showed a difference with a p-value of 0.004 (p<0.05). The results of measurements using the active contour laplacian of the Gaussian technique are better than the linear measurement, as indicated by the higher mean rank of the active contour laplacian of Gaussian, which was 17.50 (higher than the linear measurement value of 13.50).

Abstract

One of the objectives of establishing the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia as stated in the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia is to strive to improve the welfare of the people. The welfare in question must be enjoyed in a sustainable, fair, and equitable manner reaching all people. Where this is the right for every citizen to obtain social security that allows the full development of himself as a dignified human being, guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia as stipulated in Article 28H paragraph (3) and Article 34 paragraph (2). Social security is also guaranteed in the United Nations Declaration on Human Rights of 1948 and affirmed in the International Labour Organization Convention No. 102 of 1952 which advocates all countries to provide minimum protection to every workforce. The national social security system is basically a state program that aims to provide certainty of protection and social welfare for all Indonesians. Through this program, every resident is expected to be able to meet the basic needs of a decent life in the event of things that can result in loss or decrease in income, due to illness, accidents, loss of work, entering old age, or retirement. The government has several programs in implementing social security, one of which is the Old Age Security Program. Old age insurance is a benefit in the form of cash that is paid in a lump sum after the participant retires, passes away, or experiences permanent total disability. The old-age Guarantee program is designed to provide protection when a person enters old age or retirement, when they no longer have income. Therefore, the name is old age guarantee.

Abstract

Soil is inseparable from all activities of living things. Land is also a source of activity for life and human habitation, especially for Indonesian citizens, where the majority of citizens still rely on land for survival, such as for agricultural land and plantations. The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of legal rules regarding land registration procedures based on Government Regulation Number 18 of 2021 concerning Management Rights, Land Rights, Flats Units, and Land Registration. This research uses the Normative Juridical type of research, which is conceptualized as norms or rules that exist and are obeyed in society, so that they become a reference in behavior. In related arrangements land registration must be based on the principle of legality. In Black's Law Dictionary, legislation/legality has many meanings, one of which is Legislative Action, Drafting and Making Laws and/or Drafting rules for the future. Based on the results of the analysis in this study, it was found that a legal effect was arising related to the implementation of the installation of stakes and related to the principle of delimitation contradictions.

Abstract

Protection of coral reefs in Indonesia from damage caused by foreign ships is an important issue in preserving the maritime environment. is based on Law Number 27 of 2007 and the 1982 Law of the Sea Convention (UNCLOS 1982) which provides the legal basis for protecting marine ecosystems. Steps to increase coral reef protection include setting up zones that limit ship activities, implementing sanctions and strict fines, development of an effective monitoring system, increasing public awareness about the impacts of foreign vessels, and educating fishermen about sustainable fishing practices. International cooperation is an important aspect in dealing with this problem, with collaboration between Indonesia, neighboring countries, and organizations international. This joint effort aims to preserve coral reefs which are a valuable natural resource for Indonesia. The importance of preserving coral reefs as a crucial ecosystem and valuable natural resource for Indonesia must not be ignored. Protection of coral reefs must be a priority in efforts to preserve the environment in Indonesia for a sustainable future.
