Abstract

PT Rafi Pompa Energi is a vendor company that was founded in 2017 in the South Jakarta area with relatively low risk management practices and has the potential to result in the company's operational failure. Therefore, the aim of this qualitative research is to design and assess the PT Rafi Pompa Energi Risk Management System using ISO 31000: 2018 guidelines. Based on the assessment that has been carried out, it identifies 31 corporate risks derived from four categories; financial risk, operational risk, strategic risk, and externality risk, with the results showing that 16 risks are high risk, 11 risks are moderate risk, and the remaining 4 risks are low risk. Therefore, it is necessary to have risk treatment plan as soon as possible for assessed corporate risks in order to minimize losses for PT Rafi Pompa Energi.

Abstract

This study aims to provide recommendations for a performance management system that can be implemented in PT XYZ. The company started implementing performance management in 2017 which is expected to help achieve company goals. However, the current implementation of performance management still needs to be improved, such as performance measurement which only uses behavior and competencies and there is a difference in the performance management process between the corporate and EPD teams. Three theories from Miles & Snow, Schuler & Jackson, and Fombrun are used to get the ideal direction of performance management based on business strategies, while Aguinis theory is used to identify gaps that occur in application in the field. The identification process was applied by document study, analysis of survey results to 40 respondents, and interviews with Senior Performance Management Specialists to obtain a strategic performance management plan that could be used by PT XYZ. Making performance as an indicator of performance appraisal, communication and monitoring of coaching & mentoring results is a recommendation for PT XYZ to improve its performance management.

Abstract

YPAC Jakarta as an integrated service center for Persons with Disabilities, especially Cerebral Palsy / CP, has a vision, mission, strategic goals to be achieved to maximize and explore the potential of people with disabilities, especially Cerebral Palsy / CP in an effort to achieve independence. Broadly speaking, YPAC Jakarta's current human resource development practices include membership, performance evaluation, training and development. With the current pandemic situation, every community is required to do work from home and every activity is restricted to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Thus, with this policy, new challenges emerge, namely utilizing technology to meet the needs of online learning methods. It is hoped that the fulfillment of needs in the form of an online learning module design about teamwork for YPAC Jakarta will be able to change the perspective regarding teamwork.

Abstract

PT XYZ, a company in outsourcing business, is in the midst of business model change. This change demands two things from the employees. First, because of the increasing complexity of the intended business process, companies need to improve their employees' capabilities. Second, for the process of change to work well and quickly employees need to be in tune with the core competencies of the company. This thesis focuses on achieving that second demand through employee development strategies and programs at the manager level. Managers have a role as a bridge between top management and staff. This unique position makes the manager role as a lever in the internalization of core competencies. The success of PT XYZ instilling core competencies in managers will determine the success of internalizing core competencies across the company. The success of such internalization will determine the success of business model change which will be the future of the company. This will be the foundation of PT XYZ in doing evolution. This thesis produces the design of the strategic scope and program scope of human resource development based on core competency. The strategic scope ensures human resource development will align with and support the corporate strategy. The program scope designs appropriate development activities to build core competencies, develop ways to evaluate them, and ensure managers can apply these core competencies in their jobs.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understanding the impact or work life balance on employee performance with the existence of X and Y in Jakarta. The dimensions of work life balance in this study was divided into four dimensions, personal life interference (PLIW), work interference personal life (WIPL), work enhancement personal life (WEPL) and personal life enhancement work (PLEW). This research was analyzing questionnaire’s result of 384 employees’ in Jakarta using quota sampling technique. The sample consist of 192 employee generation X and 192 employee generation Y. SPSS 23 was used for statistical analysis including regression. The partial test showed that WIPL has a insignificant effect on the performance of X and Y generation, PLIW has a negative and significant effect, WEPL and PLEW has a positive and significant effect. From the four dimensions of work life balance measurement, it was also founded that the variable that most influence generation X was PLEW and the variable that most influence generation Y was WEPL. Next research must pay attention to the measurement of employee performance with different methods, namely real measurement derived from company.

Abstract

This research discusses the design of risk management strategies in MHP projects in Indonesia. MHP is a type of power plant that uses hydropower to turn turbines for generate an electricity. The MHP project involves a large investment with a long construction period.  The length of the construction time, creates an uncertainty factor that impacts on three aspects of the project objectives. The objective aspects of the project are cost, quality, and time. Several MHP projects in Indonesia have underperformed, such as delays in completion time and cost overruns. The risk management process, which consists of risk identification, risk assessment, risk management formulation and risk control, forms the basis of research work. In this study, 23 risks were identified in the MHP project. Fifteen of them have high impact on two aspects and three have high impact on three aspects of project objectives. The results of this study can be used as a guide for risk management in MHP projects in Indonesia. The results of this study can be used as a guide for risk management in MHP projects in Indonesia. It is hoped that the design of this strategy will also help the project to achieve its goals. Furthermore, the results of this research can be used as learning materials in planning the development of MHP in the future.

Abstract

This thesis discusses about the business strategy design 2021 - 2023 period. The formulation of business strategy is carried out by conducting an external analysis, in order to obtain opportunities and threats that can affect the shipping industry, then formulate the strengths and weaknesses of PT. BPM, then performs the formulation of alternative strategies using internal and external analysis (IE) and the TOWS Matrix. And in order to obtain several alternative strategic options. The last step is choosing a strategy using the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM).  QSPM analysis shows that the selected strategy for the 2021 - 2023 period is a product development and planning business implementation of the chosen strategy.

Abstract

ABC is a social enterprise that gives training and coaching for business and management also provide mentoring for orphans to start their own business and acting as the linkage between the market and the orphans’ products. Hence, ABC needs a platform such as marketplace by 2023. To achieve this target, ABC has to build business and functional strategies to make the target comes true. ABC does external analysis by using PESTEL, Porter’s Five Forces, Competitor Profile Matrix, and Decision-Making Process. The internal analysis held by using 7S McKinsey. ABC also analyze any impact and map the stakeholder priority.  Based on all the analysis, the business strategy for 2021 to 2023 was built and named as Strategi BANGUN. For 2021, ABC has to confirm its curriculum and the marketplace concept. In the next year, ABC has to build its management system and gain some external fundings. By the end of 2023, ABC has to launch its own marketplace. These strategies need be supported by the functional strategies to be achieved. If all the business strategies could be achieved, then ABC’s target to have its own marketplace by 2023 will be fulfilled.

Abstract

Viseworks Studio is a pre-startup company running on digital art sector of creative industry that offers complete digital asset for visual branding and utility purpose such as: graphic design, photography, videography, animation, interior and architecture, and interaction design. In a new established company, there is no well-standardized business process that causes business cannot run maximally because it is still exploring what kind of activity that must be done and what must be avoided. With the existence of business process standardization and improvement, hopefully company can run the business effectively, efficently, and be able to create added value for customers. This research contains of qualitative data gathered from interview, experiment, and observation directly to the subject that is focused on the people, process, and technology aspect. The result of business process standardization and improvement are: gain of speed from the machine and waiting time, gain of quality, increase of product variety, and gain of product value. Although there has been an improvement, business process lifecycle must be running over the time to create improvement continuously.

Abstract

This study aims to form an optimal portfolio and compare portfolio performance using a single index model and z-score. The z-score method is divided into 2 (two) according to the investment strategy, namely growth and value as investors' preferences in choosing a portfolio. The study population uses the IDX BUMN 20 for the period May 2018 - December 2020. The analysis results from the single index method have a portfolio return of 0.001339 with a risk to be faced of 0.0037724. The z-score growth investing method obtains a portfolio return value of 0.000989 and has a risk of 0.023369. Meanwhile, the z-score value investing method has a portfolio return of 0.001614 with a risk of 0.027416. Then the z-score value investing method has the highest performance evaluation value based on the sharpe ratio, treynor measure, and gen's alpha when compared to the other 2 (two) methods.
