Abstract

Abstract. This research to produce a product in the form mathematical learning devices using Problem Based Learning model on the material of Constructing Flat Side Spaces to facilitate students Mathematics Problem Solvibg Ability. The development model used is the ADDIE model namely Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation. The research instrument used is validity instrument and practicality. The instrument of validity is in the form of a validation sheet to assess the validity of the learning tools, namely the Syllabus, Lesson Plans, and LKPD. The practical instrument in the form of student response questionnaires to assess the usability and ease of use of LKPD. Learning Tools that have been developed will be validated by three validators and revised according to the validator's suggestions. Next, a small group trial was conducted with six students. The results of the average validation score for the Syllabus 3.84, RPP 3.75, and LKPD 3,64, so that the learning tools are categorized as very valid. The result of the average percentage of practicality of LKPD is 91.15% with very practical category. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that this study produced a product in the form of a mathematical learning device based on the Problem Based Learning model on the material of Constructing Flat Sided Space that was valid for Syllabus, RPP, and LKPD and practical for LKPD.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the mathematics learning process and student performance by applying the Discovery learning model. is composed. This exploration is an excellent case study with two rounds. The tools for this study are instructional tools (syllabus, Lesson Plans, and worksheets), data collection tools (teacher and student observation sheets), and student math tests. The data collection methods of this study are the observation method and test method. The observation papers were analyzed in the descriptive type, and the students' math test was analyzed in the statistical narrative type. The data analysis of this study is the analysis of observation data of teachers and students and the analysis of student learning performance data in mathematics. The teacher and student observation data analysis revealed that the curriculum improved after completing the behaviour (first and second cycle). Research of data about student performance shows that student performance has improved in math. The number of students in the "very high" and "high" ranges increases. On the other hand, the number of students in the “very low”, “low” and “medium” segments is declining. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Discovery learning model can improve the mathematics curriculum and student performance in the XI MIA 1 SMA Babussalam Pekanbaru classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' difficulties in solving story problems on linear programming material, the factors that cause students' difficulties in solving story problems, and how to overcome students' difficulties in solving story problems on linear programming material at SMAN 3 SIDRAP. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, with the research subject being class XI IPS 2 SMAN 3 SIDRAP, totalling ten students. Based on the results of the research, the difficulties experienced by students in solving story problems on linear programming material are conceptual difficulties, principle difficulties, information difficulties and arithmetic difficulties. Factors causing difficulties are divided into external factors, including the family and school environment and internal factors, including the lack of student interest in learning mathematics, especially in linear programming material, study routines, and lack of motivation to learn. Efforts were made to overcome these difficulties, namely providing a good understanding to students, making students active in asking questions and using learning media.

Abstract

This qualitative research describes the types of errors made by class VIII students of MTs Darul Iman Palu in solving PISA problems with Change and Relationship content using the Nolting theory. Data were collected by test and interview methods. The research subjects consisted of two students, each having high and medium abilities. The results showed that (1) the types of errors made by high-ability students in solving PISA questions of Change and Relationship content based on Nolting's theory were misread-direction errors (errors in reading instructions). (2) The types of errors made by moderately capable students in solving PISA questions of Change and Relationship content based on Nolting's theory are misread-direction errors (errors in reading instructions) and concept errors (concept errors).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop the mathematics learning instrument: syllabus, lesson plans (RPP), and student worksheets (LKPD) using the experiential learning model on circle subject for 8th grade students of junior high school (SMP) that is categorized as valid and categorized as practical. This research used Research and Development (R&D) model with ADDIE procedure; analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research instruments that used in this research were learning instrument validation sheets and student response questionnaires. Syllabus, RPP, and LKPD validated by 3 validators and revised according to suggestion from validator. The valid LKPD then tested in two stages, the small group trial and large group trial. According to the result of validation data analysis of learning instruments, those were categorized as very valid with the average score for syllabus was 4.24, for RPP was 4.18, and LKPD was 3,85. According to the result of student response questionnaires toward the LKPD practicality already the requirements of practicality with the percentage of students' response reaches 84% in large group trials. According to the result of data analysis and the discussion, it can be concluded that the learning instruments using the experiential learning model on circle subject were very valid, and the LKPD were very practical to be used by 8th grade students of junior high school.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of implementing a direct learning model with Geogebra on students' mathematic concept comprehension ability derived from their self-efficacy. It was an experimental research with a factorial experimental design. All the eleventh-grade students of pharmacy major at vocational High school of Ikasari Pekanbaru in the academic Year of 2019-2020 were the population of this research. The samples of this research were the eleventh-grade students of Pharmacy 6 as the Experimental group and the students of Pharmacy 2 as the Control group. The Cluster Random Sampling technique was used in this research. The data collection techniques were a test, questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The data collection instruments were the teacher and student observation sheets, mathematic concept comprehension ability pretest and posttest: self-efficacy questionnaire, and documentation. The technique of analyzing the data was two-way ANOVA. Based on the data analysis, it could be concluded that 1) there was a difference in mathematic concept comprehension ability between students taught by using Direct learning model with Geogebra software and those who were taught by using Conventional learning, 2) there was a difference in mathematic concept comprehension ability among students having high, medium, and low self-efficacy, 3) there was no interaction between learning model and self-efficacy toward student mathematic concept comprehension ability. So it could be concluded that implementing the Direct learning model with Geogebra software was affected by students' mathematic concept comprehension ability derived from their self-efficacy.

Abstract

As a result of COVID-19, face-to-face learning has been changed to distance learning and limited face-to-face learning. Students are required to learn online (online) because face-to-face is limited at school. In conditions of online learning (online/online) during the COVID-19 pandemic, an educator needs more appropriate learning media so that students can learn optimally. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of the evaluation of student learning by using appropriate mathematics learning media in the form of a Padlet application made by the teacher. This type of research used a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of this study were students of class VIIa and VIIb of SMP Negeri 1 Kuok. Data collection techniques include: observation/observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that learning without using the right media appears that students' understanding of the material is still lacking, this can be seen from the responses of students in the classroom from the observations of researchers during the study.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted various sectors, such as health, social, political, economic, and education. Educators must ensure that teaching and learning activities continue, even though students are home. The Central and Regional Governments took the Large-Scale Social Restriction Policy (PSBB) to contain the spread of the Corona-19 virus, which has disrupted the face-to-face learning process. The solution, educators design learning media as innovations by utilizing bold media (online). This is in accordance with the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia regarding Circular Letter Number 4 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Education Policies in the Emergency Period for the Spread of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19). Educators can do learning together simultaneously using groups on social media such as WhatsApp (WA), telegram, Instagram, zoom application, google meet, learning videos via youtube links, and other media as learning media. The method used in writing this article is a qualitative method that describes something based on data and numbers narrated in concluding sentences. Besides that, the writing of this article is library research.

Abstract

Learning in the Industrial Age 4.0 is currently expected to produce quality human resources to face these global developments and competition. The implication of this is that it is expected that teachers will be creative and active in designing and conducting creative and innovative learning. Based on this, the researcher aims to produce mathematics learning media using the Kahoot application, tested for validity. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The type of research used in this research is research and development with ADDIE development design. The validation sheet is a data collection instrument used in this study. The non-test technique was used to obtain data from this study by asking for responses from 4 expert validators. The data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques. Based on the analysis of the data obtained information that the resulting mathematics learning media using the Kahoot application that has been tested for validity with very valid criteria or with a percentage of 82.78%.

Abstract

The purposed of this study were: (1) determine the self-confidence of students in class XI at SMAN 5 Pinrang; (2) determine learning mathematics through the everyone is a teacher here strategy in class XI at SMAN 5 Pinrang; and (3) determine the everyone is a teacher here strategy can generate confidence students of class XI in learning mathematics in the Linear Program material at SMAN 5 Pinrang. The type of this research was pre-experimental research with data collection instruments using learning implementation observation sheets, student activity observation sheets, and questionnaire sheets. The data analysis technique wa using descriptive analysis and non-parametric statistical analysis with the Wilcoxon formula. Wilcoxon test results obtained Zcount = 4.847 and Ztable = 1.96 so that Zcount > Ztable. Thus, H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. So the research shows that students' self-confidence can be raised through the everyone is a teacher here strategy. This was indicated by (1) the activities of students in accordance with learning through the everyone is a teacher here strategy increased because the percentage that met the aspects > 70%; (2) the percentage value of the implementation of learning was 72.2% and included in the "High" category; and (3) the percentage of students' self-confidence questionnaire responses increased by 14.3% and was included in the self-confidence category.
