MUKASI (Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi) adalah jurnal ilmu komunikasi nasional peer-review yang diterbitkan oleh Yayasan Pendidikan Penelitian Pengabdian Algero yang terbit empat kali dalam setahun yaitu Februari, Mei, Agustus dan November. Abstract

The purpose of the study was to find out how the Luwuk Post Criminal Journalists Communication Strategies in Searching for News Amid the Covid-19 Pandemic. Being a journalist does not always have to wait until an event occurs, but with a sharp instinct a journalist will seek and observe. A journalist must be able to develop a communication strategy before carrying out his duties. To make it easier for journalists to dig up information or get data, choosing a strategy is the most appropriate step, therefore a journalist must be careful in planning their communication. Collecting data using observation (observations), questionnaires, and documentation. The population in this study are all criminal journalists in the Luwuk Post office. The results showed that the Communication Strategy used by the Luwuk Post Criminal Journalists in Searching for News during the Pandemic showed that they were very good at finding criminal news during the pandemic.

Abstract

This research has an important urgency because the public will tend to pay attention to the things that are the priority of mass media coverage. The media setting agenda can relate the possible effects of influencing public opinion or opinion so that it does not only pay attention to priority news but also learns how important the way the mass media prioritizes news topics is. Formulate the problem in this study is "How is the agenda setting of the Mandalika MotoGP News RRI Mataram?" The research approach used by the researcher is qualitative. Determination of the main issues and other supporting news through a long process that is discussed in the agenda setting meeting. The negative and positive sides of the MotoGP event will be published in news bulletins so that reporters will be assigned to the field to find sources. The selection of sources is adjusted to the topic of the news/coverage. Resource persons are selected based on the competence of the position, the suitability of the substance of the problem and the ability to act as a decision maker. After the news topics are determined, the next job is to do the coverage. Coverage is done to dig up data and facts, to be processed into news. This is where the reporter plays a very important role. The reporter's tenacity and tenacity are tested, because coverage is not always easy because sources are often hard to find. Therefore the reporter must make a coverage plan. The coverage plan must include the following: What or who will be the object/subject of the coverage, Where will the coverage be carried out, What information will be obtained (Questions should be prepared in the form of open-ended questions) What is the angle of the news?, Who Will the right sources be found to strengthen the news?.The researcher concludes that Agenda Setting is a forum for discussing the main topic or issue based on considerations such as the issue being discussed by the community How significant the issue is for the community or listeners The issue can also be considered from whether other media carry it Agenda Setting has a very important and strategic role in concocting and framing news, especially about the MotoGP world motorcycle racing event at the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok. Even from the agenda setting, synergistic communication was created by reporters, editors and deputy editors who were very harmonious even though there were debates in determining the main issues to be presented in the RRI Mataram news bulletin. RRI Mataram as a Public Broadcasting Institution in MotoGP reporting is independent and neutral so that the information does not favor certain parties but is more in the public interest.

Abstract

Distance learning becomes critical alternative in educational practices. Digital technology is becoming an opportunity. Don Tapscott’s net-gen proposes the upcoming phenomenon of the digital-natives which are somewhat different from those of digital-immigrants. This research observed digitally distance educational learning teaching activity occured amongst digital-natives conduted by using GoogleMeet, GoogleClassroom, WhatsApp platform and YouTube.com Channel. It aims to portray how distance learning activity was implemented amongst the elementary students in the era of covid-19 pandemic in Bekasi. The observation was done by joining into social media group of students and teachers. The result shows that both interpersonal perspectives and educational philosophical aspects must be put together sinergically into distance class on the basis of technological competences and literacy in educational environment on which the value of social compassions amongst learners must be encouraged too. When they are sinergically melted in the process of learning communication and relations, the optimal academic performance was possibly gained.

Abstract

This thesis contains research on the Role of Medicine Marketing Communication Alternative in Increasing Public Trust. This research aims to knowing the role of Accurate Health's alternative medicine marketing communication Center on the blog in increasing patient confidence. This research uses the method qualitative descriptive research, the data collection technique used is interview depth, literature, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. To test the validity of this research using triangulation by comparing. The subject of this research is Fudin Pang, Akp, S.Psi, M.Psi and Accurate Health Center patients and the object is the role of Accurate Health Center marketing communications on the level of patient trust. The theory that use, communications, marketing communications, communication technology and trust. The results of this study indicate that the role of marketing communication in blogs has good role and very effective because of developing communication technology makes it easier for users to obtain information without looking at the user's status, everyone have also been able to manage existing new media (internet) communication technology and making each user more flexible. Through this research, it is also known that Each patient has their own level of trust and has their own way to convince themselves in their decision to take treatment.before deciding to do alternative medicine at Accurate Health Center.

Abstract

In Indonesia, cooperatives are used as development agents for poverty alleviation by improving the welfare of people who have limited economic capacity through groups, for that cooperatives must continue to be fostered and developed so that they can continue to grow and develop both in quantity and quality. However, based on data on the number of cooperative units released by Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Sumatera Utara on February 26, 2021, Sumatera Utara decrease in the number of cooperatives. Many studies related to cooperatives have been carried out, starting from how the development of cooperatives in Indonesia, the role of cooperatives in improving community welfare, the effectiveness of cooperatives in developing a people's economy, the role of companions in the development of cooperatives and so on. However, there is still little research that examines how a cooperative can succeed and thrive, become dormant or even disband. This research aims to analyze relationship between individual characteristics and group cohesiveness in cooperatives. Group cohesiveness is an important aspect in achieving group goals because it is a determinant for the group's sustainability. The research use the theory of group communication and group cohesiveness. A quantitative correlational method is employed using the entire population (total sampling technique), namely all members of the three cooperatives located in North Tapanuli Regency. The data are collected through questionnaires and documentation with an ordinal scale on individual characteristics and group cohesiveness. The analysis results of correlation between variables, using the Spearman Rho Rank correlation test, show that individual characteristics have a significant correlation with the group cohesiveness. The individual characteristics possessed by cooperative members will reflect their personality which is manifested in the overall way the member interacts with other group members.

Abstract

The spread of covid 19 since March 2020 has been evenly distributed throughout Indonesia, and has an impact on the joints of life, especially in the field of education. The decline in interest in higher education has decreased due to limited face-to-face meetings and a reduction in manpower in various fields, so that people choose to postpone college. Through case studies with interviews and literature, answering questions on the strategy of universities to find students during the pandemic, by elaborating on marketing communication, product strategies, pricing strategies, brands of goods that are explained with theories related to the answer to the decline that occurred due to the spread of COVID-19, reduction of labor in various fields. , as well as the shift in learning methods from alluring to daring to the stuttering of the community to adapt, so they choose to postpone college. The awareness, inquire, visit, & info session, apply, and admit strategies and their descriptions are alternatives to attracting new students, so that the impact of COVID-19 in the world of education can be minimized.

Abstract

Kelurahan Bersinar (Narcotics-Free Village) program, initiated by the National Narcotics Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, involves various agencies. The objective of the research is to analyze the communication process in the program. The research employs interpretive paradigm with qualitative approach. The data are gathered by conducing in-depth interview, observation, documentation study, and library research. The gathered data are analyzed by using interactive method of Miles and Huberman. The research is done at the Kelurahan Tanah Seribu, Binjai, North Sumatera which is the first narcotics-free village in Binjai. The result of the research shows that the process of communication done by the team is through face to face communication, and through outdoor and indoor communication. The communication barriers found are late distribution of activity tehnical manual books, repeated materials, and people’s negative stigma to government employees taking care of the problems related to narcotics abuse.

Abstract

Lahat Regency is dubbed as the land of 1000 megaliths, because there are more than 1000 megalith findings registered in the Indonesian muri record. This study aims to determine the meaning of the Simpur Village community on the philosophical value of human statues, namely the results of historical relics in the megalithic era in Lahat Regency. This statue depicts the figure of a leader, who is presented with a strong figure having a head that is slightly protruding forward. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research approach. And this research uses phenomenological studies with data collection techniques in the form of literature studies, interviews, and documentation techniques. This study aims to determine the meaning of the Simpur Village community on the philosophical value of human statues in Simpur Village, Lahat Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to build tourism motivation through tourism conscious groups. The theories used by researchers are Neo-Frued Personal theory and Mc Clelland's Theory of Motivation. The method of research is a qualitatively declutive approach. Then the object of the study was in Bidadari Beach, Sane Sugih Village, Banding Agung, south Sumatra. For the study subjects, namely, camat, vice chairman of UPTD, a tourist conscious group and people who are considered elders in Sugih Waras Village The results of this study show that tourism motivation through tourism conscious groups is very important for the community. The motivation can create a charm sapta so that it invites tourists to visit and can open jobs such as restaurants on the beach, homestays to water game rides.

Abstract

This study aimsto determine the Marketing Strategy of White Water Rafting Destinations in Rantau Nipis Village. Themethodused in thisstudyis a qualitative descriptive method, namely the process by selecting the object ofre search and then proceeding with the formulation of the problem and asking sever alquestion srelated to a study, then collecting data related to the formulation of the problem. Some of the techniquesused for data collection are observation, interviews, and documentation. The thing thatmust be done in marketing this white water rafting destination isto use a marketing strategy through social media by posting white water rafting activitieson social media.
