Padma Sari: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan adalah jurnal ilmiah berkala yang diterbitkan oleh Institut Agama Hindu Negeri Gde Pudja Mataram. Jurnal ini memfokuskan kajian pada bidang Ilmu Pendidikan, termasuk Pendidikan Agama dan Pendidikan Seni. Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain the importance of increasing understanding of the competencies that a prospective educator must possess. Today educators have a fairly central role in teaching and educating to transform theory into practical skills for students. The role of the educator, who should be an example for students, in some cases, becomes a criminal, one of which is a case of harassment of students. So building character is not only an obligation of a student but also for a student's perspective educator himself, let alone a prospective religious educator. This research is centred on a literature review with an analysis of relevant libraries. Based on the analysis of the relevant libraries, the results are obtained, namely based on existing regulations. To become an educator, you must have qualifications, competencies and certifications. The competencies that must be possessed are professional, pedagogic, social and personal competencies. Besides, prospective educators must have an understanding of the importance of literacy. Character is also an integral part of forming prospective religious educators to become educators who can be an example for their students. The results of this study can strengthen insights and information for prospective educators and become a literature review for relevant research in the future.

Abstract

Education is simply a tool to liberate humans from ignorance. However, this becomes a paradox between being a liberating tool and actually being a tool that shackles humans. Various existing systems in education are now manifesting as tools that impede human freedom to be able to learn happily. Educational observers have initiated the concept of critical education including Paulo Freire, Ivan Illich, John Holt, Reimer, Henry Giroux and one of them discussed in this article is Rabindranath Tagore. This study uses a qualitative method with a philosophical hermeneutic approach. The data in this study were collected through library research. The results in this study explain that Rabindranath Tagore based his criticism of education in India during the British colonial period which tended to focus on materialistic and intellectualistic aspects and did not pay attention to spiritual, emotional, social, and also nationalism aspects. Education that Rabindranath Tagore feels is more likely to only give birth to students who are uniform and do not pay attention to the potential or interests and talents of students naturally. The idea offered by Rabindranath Tagore is education that liberates with elements of art in education. Rabindaranath Tagore's thoughts can be used as an idea to design an education system in Indonesia, especially a humanist education system.

Abstract

The values ​​of manners education when associated with the teachings of Hinduism contain a lot of education about ethics, morals, and character. In the story Adiparwa is one of the sub Mahabharata, one of which tells of the birth of the Garuda, the son of the goddess Winata who is full of manners education values ​​that can be used as guidelines for students. The writing method in question is related to data discovery and data analysis. In finding the data, a literature study method was used which was carried out by searching for literature containing the story of the Garuda. Especially in the story of Adiparwa, there is an interesting part of the story of Sang Garuda. Through this literature study, a narrative story about the Garuda is obtained. Through this literature search, characters and characters in the story of the Garuda are also obtained. Abstract

This study aims to study scientifically the attractive learning used to overcome Brahmacari boredom during learning activities in Non-Formal Pasraman after the Covid 19 outbreak. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological approach through participant observation data collection, covert interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, the data obtained is reduced, verified, presented, and drawn conclusions. The results of the study found that Attractive Learning in the learning process at Pasraman involves the use of collaborative and varied methods, a fun, joyful and impressive learning atmosphere and places for learning that must be varied or not only in the classroom but also outside the classroom (outdoor learning). There are several choices of methods that can be used to support the implementation of attractive learning in Pasraman, namely: 1) Role Playing Method; 2) Active Debate Method; and 3) Outdoor Learning Methods/Learning Outside the Classroom. The implications of attractive learning in non-formal Pasraman are: 1) Establishment of emotional closeness between Brahmacari and Acarya and between Brahmacari and his colleagues; 2) The learning atmosphere becomes more active, fun and less boring; 3) The growth of Brahmacari's motivation to return to the Pasraman.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a critical analysis related to innovative learning methods that can be applied in learning Hindu Religious Education. Hindu Religious Education is a subject that must be given to Hindu students at all levels wherever they are which has been regulated in the constitution. The role of the Hindu Religious Education teacher is necessary in order to convey a complete understanding of Hindu Religious Education to students, and teachers need learning methods in the process. The dasa dharma learning method, with four new methods namely dharma carita, dharma lila, dharma kriya and dharma brata can be an innovation made by teachers in learning. This research is a qualitative research with a literature study approach, meaning that the data obtained are secondary sources from articles, journals or books which are then analyzed by data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study are that the application of the dasa dharma method will greatly assist teachers in inculcating Hindu Religious Education material which generally consists of tattwa, susila, dan upacara. The dharma carita method can be used in providing material related to the cultivation of ethics/susila such as itihasa/purana stories. Meanwhile, with the dharma lila method, material related to tattwa can be provided, such as an understanding of the panca sradhas with the game of snakes and ladders of belief. The dharma kriya method can be used in materials related to upacara such as training in making ceremonial tools, then the dharma brata method to practice self-control and grow spiritual intelligence in students

Abstract

Dressing is a freedom for everyone in expressing themselves, but the way of dressing is still bound to the norms that apply in society. Nowadays, there are many ways of dressing that follow the times that are considered inappropriate, such as how to dress in performing religious worship, this phenomenon is generally found in the younger generation who are categorized as teenagers. Based on this, the researcher is interested in taking research action related to traditional dress ethics in shaping the character of adolescents in the hamlet of Tambang Eleh, West Lombok Regency, considering that this location is one of the places that has quite a lot of Hindus compared to other places. This study aims to describe the phenomenon of traditional dress ethics to the temple in building the character of adolescents in Dusun Tambang Eleh. This research is descriptive qualitative using observation, interview and documentation methods. This research uses behavioristic learning theory and symbolic interactionism theory. The results of this study are as follows: The customary dress ethics to the temple applied by teenagers in Dusun Tambang Eleh are in accordance with Hindu ethics / precepts, namely clean, neat, and polite, but there are some teenagers who still do not understand and do some deviations in dress ethics. As well as some teenage characters that can be formed in the application of dress ethics, namely religious character, discipline, and responsibility for themselves.

Abstract

In order to bridge the development of student competencies in a global level, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia proposed the Pancasila Student Profile as a guideline in shaping the nation's quality generation based on the noble values of Pancasila. But even so, there is no clear reflexion for Hindu students in practicing the six dimensions given by the Pancasila Student Profile. For this reason, researchers in this case are interested in exploring the reflection of the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile in the Ramāyāna story. This research formulates several problem formulations, namely related to the nature of the Ramāyāna story, the essence of the Pancasila Student Profile, and the reflection of the Pancasila Student Profile in the Ramāyāna story. Through the type of qualitative research with a literature study approach, as well as processing the data obtained using data analysis from Miles and Huberman, the results of this study indicate that, there are several reflections on the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile in the story of Ramāyāna. Where the reflection is taken through several fragments of the story or the actions of the characters in the Ramāyāna story that can be used as guidelines by Hindu students as superior and noble individuals.
