Abstract

Understanding the concept of magnetism is an essential material in physics learning. The purpose of this study is to improve the understanding of the concept of magnetism through the application of Micropascien media (Microsoft Paper Science). The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Babelan, Kabupaten Bekasi, Jawa Barat, Academic Year 2020/2021. This study is a class Action study in two cycles. The results showed that in the Pre-Cycle, only 6.67% of the 30 students were able to correctly explain the concept of magnetism.  Students' understanding of the concept of magnetism increased from 65.13 in Cycle I to 84.16 in Cycle II. The number of students who understood the concept of magnetism increased from 10.67% to 96.67%.  Improved understanding of the concept of magnetism includes indicators of interpreting, presenting examples, concluding and explaining. The research concludes that the use of Micropascien learning media can improve the understanding of the concept of magnetism.  The results of the study recommend to science teachers to improve the understanding of the concept of magnetism using Micropascien media.

Abstract

The ability writing is the important aspect to be increased for senior high school student. The experiment purposes to improve writing of report text outcome through mind mapping for students of Class X IPS. The participants who were 34 students were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The instrument consists of test and non-test. Test instrument consists of 1 item and it is essay. Non test instrument is an observation sheet. Giving written test and observation sheets were carried out as data collecting techniques. The data collecting procedure were analyzed based on the cycles, the classroom action research as an experiment method. An increase in the learning outcomes, namely cycle I completeness by 67,94 showed as the result. The completeness became 72,35 in cycle II and the completeness became 78,82 in cycle III. The assessment of students’ skill has increased in the first cycle of completeness to 20,59%. Cycle II completeness 44,11% and cycle III the completeness 76,47%. With the target achieving 75% completeness, it means that the improvement of learning due to Mind mapping. Based on this research, mind mapping can improve writing capability in report text.

Abstract

The Workshop of Guidance and training through The Power of Edu Game (TPOEG) aims to improve the teacher’s skill of using IT media at SMP Negeri 1 Lumajang. This research uses school action research method. The instruments of this research are observation sheets, documentation, and interviews. The results showed that the implementation of the TPOEG workshop could improve the skills of teachers in the use of IT media in the first cycle by 80.33% to 90.56%. This is also supported by data on the level of student happiness (well-being student) after participating in edu games with an average student response of 90.36% or very good. Based on these results, the integration of edu games is proven to make learning fun for students, therefore teachers can recommend them in further learning. Further development related to the integration of edu games in learning can be done through the group of School Subject Teacher Consultation (MGMPS).

Abstract

Students with dyscalculia can be found in most schools. They have average intelligence and have difficulty learning mathematics. This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of dyscalculia students about addition and subtraction of integers in grade 6 through Ki Hajar Dewantara's fun learning model. This research was conducted at SDN Duren Sawit 05 Jakarta involving 10 dyscalculia students. This research uses classroom action research method in 2 cycles. The results showed that the Ki Hajar Dewantara learning model could improve the learning outcomes of addition and subtraction of integers, the value of knowledge from 54 to 90, the value of skills from 63 to 97, and the value of attitudes from 58 to 96. The Among Ki Hajar Dewantara learning model used This research includes 6 activities, namely: 1) question-and-answer-based presentations, 2) video learning, 3) props from used goods, 4) number line simulation with tiles, 5) visualization of mathematical symbols with colored markers, and 6) learning with songs and chants. The conclusion of the research is that Ki Hajar Dewantara's learning model can improve the learning outcomes of addition and subtraction of integers.

Abstract

The ability to write greeting cards is still low, influenced by lack of vocabulary mastery, difficulty in composing good and correct sentences. The objectives (1) are to explain the process of the practical method, (2) to explain the results of the practical method, (3) to explain the changes in students' behavior. The research method is classroom action research. The subjects are VIIIF SMPN 17 Pontianak. Data collection used observation sheets and tests. Data analysis; normality, homogeneity and one sample test. Research result; first, the process to increase creativity includes 6 steps; (a) determining basic questions, (b) designing project plans, (c) preparing schedules, (d) Monitoring students and project progress, (e) Testing results, (f) Evaluating experiences. Second, the results of the calculation of p (0.200) are greater than 0.05 (α 0.05), normally, the significance of p (0.209) is obtained >, homogeneous, there are differences in the initial ability and the end after students take part in the practical method of sig. (0.030) < = 0.05. Third, the change in behavior was originally quite active (45%) to be active (68.18%). The average creative dimension that is integrated in the project of making greeting cards in the aspect of content is 3.27, design 3.09, picture 2.91 and objective 2.82. Students can make the correct greeting cards according to the contents of the greeting cards, students can design greeting cards, create images that match the greeting cards, and have formulated the objectives of the greeting cards correctly.

Abstract

As a subject that is considered difficult, it causes some students to be less motivated in learning mathematics. This is marked by a lack of enthusiasm and less active students to take PBM in class. In addition, the lack of problem solving skills makes students only able to solve problems based on the examples given. This is evidenced by the percentage of test scores of students who have not reached the KKM more than 75%. This study aims to determine the improvement of problem solving abilities and students' motivation to learn mathematics with the application of problem solving methods. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) in two cycles consisting of design, activities and observations, reflection, and revision. The research subjects were students of class IX-1 MTsN 28 Jakarta. The data were obtained from the results of student motivation questionnaires, formative test results, and observation sheets for teaching and learning activities. The data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively by using an analytical technique framework consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the average value of students' mathematical problem solving abilities increased from the first cycle of 61.05 to 75.97 in the second cycle. The number of students whose scores are above the KKM also increased from 47.32% in the first cycle to 83.3% in the second cycle. Likewise, the number of motivated students increased for the medium, high, and very high categories from cycle I to cycle II. The conclusion of this study is that problem solving methods can improve motivation and mathematical problem solving abilities of students in class IX-1 MTsN 28 Jakarta.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum has a difference compared to the 2013 Curriculum, namely that there is a Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project. This project supported of intracurricular activities whose ultimate goal is not only to increase competence but to build and improve the character of students as Pancasila Student Profiles through projects that raise issues or problems in the surrounding environment. Currently, the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project has been required to be implemented by Driving School. By 2021 there are 54 Driving Schools that should have implemented the project. Therefore, this study wanted to see to what extent the stages of implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project at the Driving School,the obstacles that hindered project implementation and provided solutions to project implementation problems by means of surveys through instruments. Abstract

QR Code is one of the innovations in developing digital literacy media in identifiying plant in scholls. The purpose of this study was to determine the response of students about the development of digital literacy media as an innovation to identify plants in schools. Meanwhie, students responses were obtained from questionnaire analysis by 30 students of SMP Negeri 1 Jatiroto. The results of the instrument test showed that the QR Code as a Digital Literacy Innovation for Plant Identifications that was developed showed positive results with a percentage yield of 93,27%. This means that the QR Code as adigital literacy innovation in identifying school plants can be used in leraning and supports digital literacy with an environmental perspective. Abstract

Abstract: Optical concepts are important concepts for understanding science. This research seeks to improve understanding of optical concepts, through the black market. In the academic year 2021–2022, the study was carried out at SMP Negeri 8 Cikarang Utara, Jawa Barat. This study employed three rounds of classroom action research. In light of the results, optical concepts were generally understood at an average level of 53.03 in the Pre-cycle, 61.10 in First Cycle: 67.43; Second Cycle: 67.43; Third Cycle: 77.83. The number of students who understand optical concepts has increased from 30 students, in Pre-cycle: 26.67% (8 students); 1st cycle: 46.67% (14 students); The second cycle: 63.33% (19 students) and the third cycle: 83.33% (25 students). Indicators of understanding optical concepts include: interpreting, exemplinifying, classifying, summarizing, inferring, comparing and explaining. The study's finding is that using the black market model to explain optical principles can help people grasp them better. The study's conclusions recommend that science teachers adopt the black market model to improve their pupils' understanding of optical principles. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to capture the implications of minimum competency assessment (AKM) on the learning procedure of reading literacy for Indonesian teachers at the Indonesian Language MGMP Region 1, East Jakarta. This research is a quantitative research by conducting a survey as a research data collection instrument which is strengthened by interviews at the sample schools. The research data are 15 educational units in which the teacher is a member of the Indonesian Language Subject Teacher Consultation (MGMP) in area 1 East Jakarta at the high school level with 28 respondents. The results showed that teachers had implemented the implications of AKM on the reading procedure 68%. Implications of the AKM for Reading Literacy learning procedures: 1. The teacher knows the results of the 2021 AKM specifically for Indonesian language teachers are the ability of the AKM sample students in each of the schools visited; 2. Indonesian teachers respond to the results of the AKM by planning lessons using reading strategies, and 3. Indonesian teachers introduce reading procedures to teachers of other subjects.
