Abstract

The aim of study is to 1) determine the productivity of oil palm in the study area, 2) determine the income of oil palm farming in the study area and 3) determine the relationship of the cost of oil palm production with the income of oil palm farmers in the study area. This research was conducted in Pulo Bayu village, Hutabayu Raja district, Simalungun regency. The population in this study were farmers who worked on oil palm plants in Pulo Bayu village with a field area ranging from 0.5-10 Ha and the age of the plants between 3.5-18 years. The number of samples in this study were 30 oil palm farmers. Data analysis was performed descriptively and using simple linear regression analysis. The result showed that the productivity of oil palm plants in the study area was classified as low. The production of oil palm farming in the study area is 82,342.80 kg/year or 1,744.76 kg/ ha (1.75 tons/ha/month). This is lower than the average CPO productivity of smallholder estates 2.5 tons/ ha/month. Net income of oil palm farmer in the study area is Rp 1,308,973.06/ha/month is classified as low because it is lower than the UMR of Simalungun regency (Rp 2,224,036.00/ month). Farming production costs significantly have a positive linear effect on the income of oil palm farmers in the study area.

Abstract

Berkembangnya industri pariwisata sebagai sektor andalan untuk memperbesar devisa, memperluas dan memeratakan kesempatan berusaha, lapangan kerja serta untuk mendorong pembangunan daerah, ternyata telah mengundang berbagai perhatian dan kritik proporsional terutama ditunjukkan pada berbagai dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan oleh pariwisata “Mass Tourism” (Astuti, 2013)Kegiatan pariwisata merupakan salah satu sektor yang berperan dalam proses pembangunan dan pengembangan wilayah yaitu dalam memberikan kontribusi bagi pendapatan suatu daerah maupun bagi masyarakat . Tapanuli Utara merupakan salah satu unggulan Pariwisata Tobasa, dengan potensi keindahan alam dan letaknya sangat strategis. Kawasan Tapanuli Utara yang dikenal sebagai Tambang “emas” hijau dalam pertanian (Simamora dan sinaga, 2016)   Tapanuli Utara merupakan salah satu sentra penghasil nanas terbesar. Hasilnya, puluhan ton nanas Sipahutar selalu didulang per harinya. Lini pertanian ini pun semakin menguatkan rantai jalur wisata di Kawasan Danau Toba. Adanya kegiatan di daerah periwisata di kawasan ini akan berdampak terhadap keadaan sosial ekonomi masyarakat (Pelita Batak.com, 2018).Konsultan Pariwisata menimpal, tapanuli utara ini sangat layak dijual. Di sini wisatawan bisa dilepas di kebun nanas terluas di dunia. Bebas memilih areanya. Petani nanas juga bakal setia mendampingi untuk memotong nanas. Juga mengajari cara makan nanas dengan sendok tradisional yang dibuat dari pohon di sekitar kebun nanas (Mian Simanjuntak, 2018). Bahwa satu yang pasti adalah kebun nanas bisa jadi destinasi wisata. Kebun nanas merupakan agrowisata disektor pertanian. Apalagi bila perkebunan tersebut diklamin sebagai perkebunan nanas terluas di dunia. Ditambah lagi mengusung konsep Back To Nature.Tren wisata banyak sekali jenisnya. Makin berkembang pariwisata trennya pun bertambah. Tapanuli Utara salah satunya wisata ke destinasi yang belum populer, wisata alam, wisata musim dingin. Karena tersedia banyak pilihan para wisata luar dapat tergoda untuk mencari pengalaman baru dan unik untuk mengisi liburan bersama teman, keluarga atau orang-orang Tercinta dengan kosep wisata Back To Nature.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of combination of chicken manures and cow sheds to growth and production batu ijo shallot of varieties. The research was carried out in the field of Horticultural Seed Main Unit Kutagadung Berastagi, Berastagi District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra, in the elevation of ± 1,350 m above sea level. The research was conducted in June 2019 - August 2019. This research used the Non Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) method, was aplied: a combination of chicken manures and cow sheds, symbol (K): control (K0), 100% chicken coop (K1), 80% chicken coop + 20% cow shed (K2), 60% chicken coop + 40% cow shed (K3), 40% chicken coop + 60% cow shed (K4), 20% coop chicken + 80% cow shed (K5) and 100% cow shed (K6), seven treatments and four replications. Data obtained were performed analysis of variance with a F test of 5% level. The significant difference (p <0.05), results would be to the DMRT test. The results shownd that the treatment of the combination of chicken manure and cow shed had a significant effect (p <0.05) on the variable growth of plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, number of tubers, tuber diameter, production per sample, and production per plot. Howere the highest average was found in the treatment of 100% chicken coops (K1) and followed the treatment of 100% cow pens (K6).

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemilihan tunas yang berbeda dan teknis mengiris tunas untuk keberhasilan okulasi kakao (Theobroma cacao L). Desain Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak (RAK) desain faktorial dengan dua faktor; Faktor pertama cara pemotongan tunas (P) dengan tiga tingkat perawatan adalah: P1 = mengiris berbentuk baji, P2 = sayatan berbentuk meruncing, P3 = pengirisan berbentuk baji tumpul dan faktor kedua Pemilihan Mata Entres (M) dengan tiga tingkat perawatan adalah: M1 = pemilihan cabang yang lebih tua, M2 = pemilihan cabang hijau kecoklatan, M3 = pemilihan tunas hijau pucat, sehingga ada 3 x 3 = 9 kombinasi perawatan. Mempengaruhi pemilihan tunas secara teknis dan mengiris pada keberhasilan okulasi kakao menunjukkan parameter nyata dalam pengamatan mengiris berbentuk baji tumpul (P3) ke jumlah daun tunas pada usia 9 minggu setelah disambung (MSS) dan jumlah tunas pada umur 5 minggu setelah memanjang, sedangkan tunas yang dipilih tidak berpengaruh signifikan pada pengamatan tunas hijau kecoklatan (M2) dan baji teknis berbentuk (P1) dengan jumlah tunas daun pada usia 5 minggu setelah disambung (MSS).

Abstract

The eruption of Mount Sinabung from 2010 to 2019 greatly damaged crops and agricultural land in the area, with damage varying from mild to very heavy, mostly due to land and crops being swept away by hot clouds and covered in lava and volcanic ash. One of the areas affected by the eruption of Mount Sinabung was Tigapancur Village, Simpang Empat District, but it was still classified as a safe zone so that agriculture is still active. The eruption of Mount Sinabung was very disturbing to agriculture, due to volcanic ash so that production has decreased. This study aims to assess the chemical properties of soil in areas affected by volcanic ash of Mount Sinabung in the Tigapancur Village, Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency and soil analysis at the Research and Development Laboratory of PT. Nusa Pusaka Kencana Analytical & Qc. The Tebing Tinggi Bahilang Laboratory of Medan from October to November 2019. The results showed that there were differences in soil chemical properties including the degree of acidity (pH) and unequal macro-essential elements (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S), so they were divided into several criteria (very low, low, medium and very high) both on land not affected by volcanic ash with a depth range of 0 - 5 cm and 5 - 20 cm.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kebun Percobaan Universitas Quality Berastagi Kecamatan Dolat Rakyat Kabupaten Karo dimulai dari bulan Maret sampai dengan Juli 2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan dua faktor perlakuan kombinasi. Faktor pertama adalah jenis pupuk organik (O) terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu: Pupuk kandang sapi (O1), pupuk kandang ayam (O2) dan arang sekam (O3). Faktor kedua adalah penggunaan dosis pupuk organik (D) terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu: kontrol (D0), 2 kg/plot (D1), 4 kg/plot (D2) dan 6 kg/plot (D3).Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa perlakuan jenis pupuk organik berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah helai per rumpun bobot basah umbi per sampel dan per plot. Perlakuan dosis organik berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, bobot basah umbi per sampel dan per plot. Interaksi antara jenis dan dosis pupuk organik tidak berpengaruh nyata.

Abstract

This research is conducted with the aim to know the influence of reward and punishment to employee work discipline to the PT Fajar Baru Sukses Kabanjahe.  The sample in this research were 35 respondents.  Techniques of data collection was done by filing questionnaires to respondents.  The research method to analyze the data using quantitative methods, statistical analysis.  From the results of data processing, it was obtained that partially the two independent variables, namely reward (X1) and punishment (X2) had a positive and significant effect on the work discipline variable (Y), with each value t count > t table (5,468 > 1,692) for the reward variable ( X1) and t count > t table (6.668 > 1.692) for punishment variable (X2), the two independent variables, namely reward (X1) and punishment (X2) were able to influence the dependent variable, namely work discipline (Y) with a value of F count > F table (96.932 > 3.295).  R2 test: the coefficient of determination is 0.858 and a positive value, which means, the relationship between reward (X1) and punishment (X2) with work discipline (Y) is 85.80%.  This means that the work discipline of employees of PT Fajar Baru Sukses Kabanjahe 85.80% is influenced by reward and punishment and the remaining 14.20% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan jenis trichoderma spp yang secara spesifik memacu pertumbuhan vegetatif dan produksi kentang. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK Faktorial) dengan 3 ulangan yaitu Faktor Pertama I adalah waktu aplikasi Trichoderma yang terdiri atas WT1 = Diaplikasikan Trichoderma spp satu minggu sebelum tanam kentang dilapangan. WT2 = Diaplikasikan Trichoderma spp satu minggu setelahtanam, WT3 = Diaplikasikan Trichoderma spp dua minggu setelah tanam. Faktor kedua adalah Jenis isolate Trichoderma spp diberikan terdiri atas JT 1 = Trichoderma koninggi, JT2 = Trichoderma harzianum, JT3 = Trichoderma viride. Perlakuan waktu aplikasi Trichoderma spp (W1= 1 minggu sebelum tanam) menunjukkan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan produksi kentang. Sedangkan perlakuan jenis Trichoderma spp yang diberikan Trichoderma harzianum menghasilkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan produksi lebih tinggi dibandingkan jenis Trichoderma viride dan koninggi.

Abstract

The objectives of the study were to determine (1) the development index of superior horticultural seeds, (2) the elasticity of demand for superior seeds of horticultural crops, and (3) the factors that influence the preference of people's demand for the use of superior seeds of horticultural crops. The research was carried out at UPT.BIH Johor Building, Food Crops and Horticulture Research Office, starting from April to July 2020. The number of samples was 10 people, consisting of 6 UPT staff. BIH Johor Building Department of Food Crops and Horticulture and 4 consumers. Data analysis methods used are development index, elasticity of demand and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the development index of superior seeds in the study area decreased in 2019, the demand for superior seeds with Ed > 1. Partial t-test showed that the factor of seed prices, income levels and community tastes had a significant effect on demand for seed use, while the number of population has no significant effect. The F test shows that the seed factor, income level, people's tastes, and the number of residents simultaneously (simultaneously) affect the demand for superior seeds. The coefficient of determination test (R2) shows that the price of superior seeds, income levels, people's tastes, and population affects the demand for the use of superior seeds by 85.2%, while the remaining 14.8% is influenced by other factors outside of this study.

Abstract

Job satisfaction is closely related to employee performance. This study aims to determine the effect of job satisfaction on the performance of the employees of the Karo Regency Fisheries Service. The sample in this study is a saturated sample so that all employees of the Karo Regency Fisheries Service as many as 37 people become subjects. Data were analyzed by simple linear regression analysis. Based on the calculations obtained the results of a simple linear regression equation; Y = 9.414+0.736X+e and the value of tcount = 9.206 while the value of ttable = 2.030 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05 or the value of tcount > ttable (9.206 > 2.030), meaning that job satisfaction z is 0.708. which means that 70.80% employee performance is influenced by job satisfaction and 29.20% can be explained by other variables outside this research model.
