Abstract

This article is the result of community service that intends to provide the basis of understanding in order to improvethe ability of socio-cultural knowledge for writers for the birth of literary works based on local wisdom in Sulawesi Selatan. Thisprogram is considered very important given that the literary works produced by writers in this area are still very limited to makelocal wisdom as their contents. Whereas on the other hand local wisdom is an important part of the socio-cultural identity of thepeople which requires attention and preserves it. The method used in the process of increasing competency is to conduct trainingwith the following stages: (1) identifying the socio-cultural values of local communities that require socialization andpreservation, (2) collaborating with one of the author's organizations namely Ikatan Penulis Muslim Indonesia, (3) conductstraining on the potential of local noble values that can be used as writing material, and (4) records literary works based on localwisdom in the form of short story anthology. Thus, people can learn local wisdom through reading literature.

Abstract

Debating is one of the communication activities which aims at conveying constructive, innovative, sistematic, andconvincing ideas and thoughts. One of the debating methods which can facilitate that aim is British Parliamentary. This debatingsystem uses English. British Parliamentary method consists of two opposite lines, government who agrees and supports themotion and opposition who disagrees and contradicts with the motion. In debating, there are four competing teams which argueagaints to win each other ideas and thoughts, they are: Opening government, Opening opposition, Closing government, andClosing opposition. Each team and speaker has their own respective rules and roles leading them to the systematic and structuredway of conveying ideas and thoughts. To debate using this method, students at Senior High School in Makassar have conducteddebating activities. The methods of the activties are introduction of rules and roles, case building, presentation, discussion,assignment, and debate exhibition. Based on these activities, it is indispensable to conduct a reguler and routine training in orderto reassure the students’ way of thinking analytically, systematically, and critically and to be more accustomed withcommunicating meaningfully in English.

Abstract

The objectives of the Community Partnership Program (PKM) are Bollangi prison partner groups (partners) in theCommunity Partnership Program (PKM): (1) Provide counseling on the use of roots and stems of wood into imitation bonsai ofvarious models and forms, (2) Provide skills training design imitation bonsai from various roots and stems of various models andshapes, (3) Provide training on skills to clean the root bark and stalks into a framework of imitation bonsai of various models andshapes, (4) Provide training skills on shaping imitation bonsai from various roots and stalks of various models and shape, (5)Provide training in the skills to assemble flowers and plastic leaves on a wooden frame into imitation bonsai of various modelsand shapes, (6) Provide training skills in finishing imitation bonsai using a scratch-resistant melamine dico on a root frame andwooden stalk, (7) Provide information about imitation bonsai from the roots and stems of the wood can be marketed everywhere,(8) Providing counseling on the interest and motivation of artificial bonsai entrepreneurs from roots and stems of wood. Thetarget audience is a group of residents fostered by the narcotics prison Bollangi (partners). The method used in the delivery ofmaterial uses the lecture, discussion and question and answer method, while the application to students uses demonstrations.Expected target outcomes for Bollangi narcotics prison partners (partners) in the Community Partnership Program (PKM) are: (1)Can have knowledge of the use of roots and stems of wood into imitation bonsai of various models and shapes, (2) Can havebonsai design skills imitation of the roots and stems of various models and shapes, (3) Can have the skills to clean the root barkand stalks into a bonsai framework imitation of various models and shapes, (4) Can have the skill of forming imitation bonsai ofthe roots and stalks of various models and shapes , (5) Can have the skills to assemble flowers and plastic leaves on wood framesinto imitation bonsai of various models and shapes, (6) Can have the skills of finishing imitation bonsai work using scratchresistant melamine dico on the framework of roots and wooden stems, (7) Can have knowledge of imitation bonsai from the rootsand wooden stems which can be marketed everywhere, (8) Can have knowledge about the interests and motivations of imitationbonsai entrepreneurs from roots and wooden stems.

Abstract

This program aims to improve teachers’ skills and motivations in designing project based learning (PjBL) integratedwith character education (PPK) in their mathematics class. The activity was set in a workshop involving mathematics teachercouncils (MGMP) in Gowa regency. The agenda was divided into three, namely, 1) introduction to PjBL and PPK, 2) designingPjBL integrated with PPK in mathematics learning, and 3) socialization of scientific article publication of design implementationby teachers. Within this activity, the teachers-participants have succesfully presented seven designs of PjBL integrated with PPK,indicating their improved skills in the related aspect. In addition, reflection questionnaire shows 90.47% of the teachers believedif they could present and are willing to conduct PjBL integrated with PPK in their class. This shows a significant improvement inteachers’ motivations which was in the low category. Following this program, observations to teachers’ implementation of thedesigned lesson plan and coaching in publishing their implemented learning designs would be suggested to conduct.

Abstract

Seaweed Farmer Group, technically not maximally managed seaweed business properly due to lack of knowledge andskills of PKM partner groups in processing seaweed so that it can be of economic value. It is expected that this CommunityPartnership Program, can solve the problems faced by partners through culinary products with better quantity and quality, bydiversifying processed seaweed products. This PKM approach: Participatory Learning and Action Community Empowerment.Using methods, namely: 1) lectures, 2) discussion and question and answer, and 3) demonstration and application. Thenaccompanied by assistance with the production process and the packaging process. PKM program results show 1) an increase inPKM partner knowledge about the benefits and nutritional value contained in seaweed, as well as how to diversify variousprocessed fresh seaweed; 2) PKM partners have skills in how to make seaweed meatballs and seaweed nuggets; 3) PKM partnershave the knowledge and skills on how to package good and healthy products, and label products so that they have economicalvalue.

Abstract

The unique, multi-dimensional, and corrupt characteristic of corruption is one of the crimes that is difficult todismantle, because it requires steps that are carried out in extraordinary ways through its material criminal law instruments aswell as its formal crime laws. This also results in differing opinions and interpretations, both between legal differences and legaltheorists, about the limits of corruption. Various opinions given by experts and experts on corruption resolution. When viewed interms of terms, the word "corruption" comes from the Latin language, which is corruptio. Abstract

The Community Partnership Program (PKM) partners are Makassar Hang Tuah High School Students. The problem is:(1) students still consider violent behavior as natural, (2) there is no understanding of students about the negative effects ofviolent behavior, and (3) the role of parents and teachers is not optimal in instilling good behavior and character towardsstudents. External targets are (1) the reduction in violent behavior that occurs among students, and (2) the creation of a conduciveatmosphere in schools, so that it can support the implementation of quality learning activities. The methods used are: lectures,discussions, and questions answer. The results achieved are (1) students understand the negative impact of violent behavior inschools and in the environment, (2) students understand the importance of good character to support their future, (3) students canunderstand the importance of the role of parents in anticipating behavior violence that occurs to students, and (4) studentsincreasingly understand the character of the 21st Century.

Abstract

Designing learning media based on e-learning in Malino Elementary School is an important program of activities to beimplemented in the digital era in order to improve the teaching competencies of productive teachers through 21st centurylearning. e-learning. Based on the problems of partners, realized by PKM designing e-learning based learning media with the aimto: (1) increase knowledge in the preparation of e-learning based learning media, and (2) increase understanding of thecomponents of e-learning based learning media development. Methods of activities through guidance and training (practice),methods of discussion and evaluation. Outputs and results achieved after doing this activity, namely: Outputs and results thathave been achieved, namely (1) the teachers have knowledge of the steps in the preparation of e-learning based learning media,(2) the teachers compile an e-based learning media -learning with approaches according to core competencies and basiccompetencies, (3) the absorption of mastery of the average training material is good, (4) the teachers give positive responses tothe implementation of the training, and (5) the teachers are able to make and use e-learning based learning media. Based on theresults achieved, the implementation of PKM design of e-learning based learning media for teachers was successful. Therefore,teachers get contextual guidance during training. Starting from the design of teaching materials, knowing the features that areused in stages in e-learning based learning and implementing it well.

Abstract

The Community Partnership Program (PKM) partner is a cooperative organizer in Panakkukang Makassar District.The problem is: (1) the management does not yet fully understand the process of good cooperative management, (2) there is nounderstanding of management about good management of cooperative capital, (3) the management does not yet understand howto obtain and use funds owned effectively and efficiently, (4) management has not yet understood the methods of analyzing goodfinancial statements in the practice of managing capital for cooperatives. The external goal is to become more effective andefficient in the cooperative management process so that it can improve cooperative performance institutionally. The method usedis: lecture, discussion, and question and answer. The results achieved are cooperative management (1) understanding thecooperative management process that is good, (2) understanding good cooperative capital management, (3) understanding abouthow to obtain and use funds owned effectively and efficiently, (4) understand the method of report analysis good finance incooperative capital management practices.

Abstract

Narcotics and psychotropic drugs or substances that are useful in the fields of medicine, health services, and scientificdevelopment, but on the other hand the use of narcotics and psychotropic substances can also cause a very detrimentaldependency if used without control, strict and careful supervision. Drug abuse at the end of this year is felt to be increasing.Based on the statistics of the SUL-SEL BNN report from the number of dealers and dealers in 2016, there were 12,423 people.And in 2017, there was an increase of 19,514 people. Then from the number of users in 2016 as many as 15,869 people and in2017 again experienced an increase of 21,961 users and finally in 2018 SUL-SEL received the title as the 7th ranking of the mostnarcotics users in Indonesia.
