Abstract

This article looks at the historical materialism approach of Karl Max and naturalism according to J.J Rousseau. Materialism is an understanding that only relies on material that does not believe in what is behind the unseen world. Not believing in the unseen world means not believing in the existence of a power that controls the universe and that automatically denies the existence of God as the creator of the universe, because according to this understanding nature and everything in it originate from one source, namely matter. Marx believed that human intellectual development was determined by the material conditions of human life. That is, material needs precede consciousness. This theory is often called historical materialism. Naturalism is a school that believes in nature and also milieu (environment). The flow of naturalism views that the child created by the creator is good while the environment is bad. Naturalism is a school that believes in nature and also milieu (environment). Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of student errors, the factors that cause student errors in solving math problems based on the Newman procedure at MTs Al-Ihsan Medan and efforts to minimize student errors based on the Newman procedure. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were class VII students of MTs Al-Ihsan Medan, totaling 3 students, each of which was taken 1 student in the high category, 1 student in the medium category, and 1 student in the low category. Data collection techniques using written tests and interviews. Data analysis was carried out with the data reduction stage, the data presentation stage and the conclusion drawing stage. The results showed that the percentage of errors made by students in solving math problems related to integer material based on the Newman procedure were: (a) the percentage of reading errors was 20%, (b) the percentage of understanding errors was 84%, (c) the percentage of transformation errors was 72%. , (d) the percentage of error in processing skills is 54.66, and (e) the percentage of errors in writing the final answer is 80%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze student learning outcomes by using the Example Non Example learning model in social interaction material. The research design used in this research is the One-Group Pretest-Postest Design. The data used is only from a comparison of pretest and posttest results on the concept of social problems through the Example Non Example learning model with the On-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The results showed that there were differences in the average results of learning sociology before and after using the example non example learning model. As for future suggestions, namely the current learning process, teachers must be more observant in seeing and considering suitable learning methods or models to be used in arousing student enthusiasm for learning which is carried out offline or online.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a positive and significant effect between the time token type cooperative learning model on student activity and learning outcomes. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students class VIII SMP Swasta Sultan Iskandar Muda Medan which consisted of 6 classes. The sample in this study was class VIII-C as the experimental class with 33 students given the application of the time token type cooperative learning model and class VIII-B as the control class with 33 students given the application of the conventional learning model. The instrument in this study was a learning activity questionnaire and learning outcomes tests in the form of pretest and posttest. Before testing the hypothesis, the normality test was carried out with Kolmogorov Smirnov and the homogeneity test was carried out with the test of homogeneity of variance.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the position of the teacher as the subject of education, which is seen from the ethics of the teacher, the basic skills that must be possessed by the teacher, the duties and roles of the teacher, and the pattern of recruitment to become a teacher. Teachers as central figures in education must have sufficient competence and qualifications from their background, ethics, work or activities other than being a teacher. This research method uses literature review, with primary and secondary data sources, and the analysis used is content analysis. The results of this study indicate that the teacher is a central figure in education. His position cannot be replaced and at the same time serves as an example for students in particular and society in general. As an example, teachers cannot avoid the professional ethics attached to them. Apart from that, the pattern of teacher recruitment must also be carried out not only looking at the cognitive aspect alone, but other aspects such as adab and morality must be the main consideration.

Abstract

The storytelling method is a fairly effective method given to the golden age of early childhood, as an effort to improve their cognitive, affective and psychomotor functions. The observation results showed that the storytelling ability of Group B children at Ayu Palembang Kindergarten was still low. This study aims to influence the influence of mind mapping media on storytelling skills and at the same time to find out what factors are the causes of low children's storytelling abilities in the learning process at Ayu Palembang Kindergarten. The research approach uses a quantitative pre-experimental method with a one group pre-test post-test design. Sample 14 people. Data collection is done through observation, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques through normality and homogeneity tests. To see the effect of each variable and answer the research hypothesis, a t test was carried out with a significant (α) 0.05). The findings prove that tcount = 171.92 > ttable = 1,771. The findings answer the hypothesis that mind mapping media has an effect on the storytelling ability of group B children at Kindergarten Ayu Palembang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of interactive teaching materials from the aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness, as well as to determine the increase in the mathematical reasoning abilities of students who were given learning using interactive teaching materials. The development model used is the ADDIE Model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and evaluation). The research instruments used in this study were media validation sheets, material validation sheets, Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) validation sheets, test validation sheets, mathematical reasoning ability tests, teacher response questionnaires and student response questionnaires. The results of this study showed a validity of 4.75 for media and 4.81 for material with very valid categories. practicality shows a percentage of 91% based on teacher responses and 86% based on student responses, both of which are in the very practical category.
