It can reduce 25% of maternal mortality and 18% infant mortality. The higher number of family planning means the more contraceptive use in reproductive age couples, then the higher the reduction number of maternal and infant mortality rates. This study aims to observe The Effect Of Providing Contraceptive Education On The Knowledge Level Of Reproductive Age Couples. This is a pre-experimental study with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The analysis used is paired sample t-test and Shapiro-Wilk test.. The research sampel was 50 of reproductive women spouses. It was obtained that the average of knowledge before contraceptive education was given is 44.56 with 15.38 of standard deviation. However, the average of knowledge after contraceptive education was given was given is 61,26 with 12,14 of standard deviation. It shows that the difference of the mean value before and after giving contraceptive education is 16.70 with 10.00 of standard deviation. Statistical test results obtained value of P-value = 0.000. There is a significant effect of giving contraceptive education to the knowledge level of couples with reproductive age in Pariaman Public Health Center in 2020 .The public health center is expected to improve family planning services for couples in fertility age by providing continuous counseling to increase their understanding of choosing and using proper contraception consistently.

Abstract

Breast cancer is the most feared disease by women. Even breast cancer has attacked teenagers. One of the first steps to prevent breast cancer is to provide health education to adolescents to increase awareness in doing breast self-examination (BSE). If BSE can be done regularly, then breast cancer can be detected early. This study aims to determine the effect of health education on BSE on adolescent motivation in early detection of breast cancer in Polewali Village, Tanete Riattang Barat District, Bone Regency. The research design used was quasi-experimental with one group pretest post-test method . The research sample amounted to 40 people with purposive sampling technique in accordance with the inclusion criteria. The results of the study based on the Wilcoxon test obtained a p value of 0.000 (<0.5) meaning that there was an effect of health education on BSE on adolescent motivation in efforts to detect breast cancer early. There was an increase in the motivation of adolescents to do breast self-examination before and after the provision of health education so that there was a significant effect of health education in increasing the motivation of adolescents to perform breast self-examination (BSE). For this reason, it is necessary to collaborate between the regional government related to health workers to obtain information about health, especially reproductive health in adolescents.

Abstract

Breast milk (ASI) is a natural food that can be renewed, provides a complete source of nutrition for babies, protects mothers and children from disease, and has anti-inflammatory properties. One of the first steps towards a healthy and prosperous life is breastfeeding and to increase milk production, pregnant women can consume banana blossoms, which are a type of plant that contains laktagogums which have the potential to stimulate oxytocin and prolactin hormones such as alkaloids. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of banana buds on the adequacy of breast milk in infants less than 6 months of age in terms of weight gain. The research method is a quasi-experimental research using a two group pre and post test design, with a total sample of 20 samples divided into 2 groups. The results showed that the average increase in baby weight in the experimental group before being given banana heart vegetables, the mean was 5.090 and after being given the banana flower, it increased to a mean of 5.590 with a mean difference of 0.50 while the average increase in baby weight in the control group was 4.98 increased to 5,130 with a difference of 0.15. From the results of the independent T test, it can be seen that the p value of 0.02 < 0.05 means that there is a significant difference in the average weight gain of infants in the treatment group given banana heart with the control group not given any treatment.

Abstract

Indonesia is included in the 5 countries with the highest stunting rate of children under five, namely there are 7.5 million children under five. Based on the results of the 2016 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas), the prevalence of stunting nationally was 37.2%, which means an increase compared to 2010 (35.6%) and 2007 (36.8%). Based on data from the Pariaman City Health Office from 7 existing Puskesmas working areas, the Marunggi Health Center Work Area Pariaman City has the highest percentage of very short children growth, reaching 63 people out of 772 toddlers (8.2%) and 108 people short (14%) ).This research uses a correlation pre-experimental design with the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, which is a research design that has a pretest before being given treatment. Thus it can be known more accurately, because it can be compared with being held before being given treatment. The sample of this study used a purposive sampling technique with certain criteria with the number of samples obtained by 50 PUSH women. The results of the study will be analyzed using the independent sample t test (paired sample t-test. The results of statistical tests obtained P value = 0.000. This means that there is a significant difference in the average knowledge of mothers of children under five before and after counseling. This research is expected to be evidence based, become a guide or material for health promotion at the Marunggi Health Center, as a material for public consideration of the importance of knowledge about stunting.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is still a health problem for the people of Indonesia, especially active smokers. There are many risk factors that can cause tuberculosis in active smokers including age at starting smoking, number of cigarettes consumed per day, and how long smoking has been done. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of identifying mycobacterium tuberculosis in active smokers with the Ziehl–Neelsen staining acid resistance test method. This type of research is a descriptive-analytic study that aims to determine the results of identifying Mycobacterium tuberculosis in active smokers. The Ziehl–Neelsen staining acid resistance test was conducted at the Tourism Hospital Laboratory of the University of East Indonesia Makassar on September 22 to October 6, 2022. The population in the study is 10 people. The sample was determined using a total sampling technique so that 10 samples were obtained. The research variables were active smokers. The data obtained are presented in the form of tables and narratives. After laboratory testing using the Ziehl–Neelsen staining method, the conclusion was that 1 out of 10 samples of active smokers was identified as Mycobacterium Tuberculosis.

Abstract

Objective: Local wisdom, especially in the ethnomedicine of the Tengger Bromo tribe, East Java, makes a potential that must be developed sustainably. Muscle Flour (Borreria laevis) is a plant that has anti-inflammatory potential in the Tengger tribe. This plant has high ICF and UV tilapia. Methods: This study aims to determine the types of plants that have been used by the Tengger tribe that have anti-inflammatory activity with the in vitro method of cell membrane stability. Samples were taken from the Tengger Bromo Probolinggo Tribe and extracted by maceration using 95% ethanol. Characterization includes non-specific parameters and specific parameters. Results: Identification of chemical contents includes flavonoids, glycosides, saponins, and alkaloids. Testing of anti-inflammatory activity using ethanol extract from muscle flour made concentrations of 250 ppm, 500 ppm, 1000 ppm, and 2000 ppm with the in vitro anti-inflammatory test with the human red blood cell (HRBC) method or cell membrane stability. Subsequently tested in vivo with the carrageenan induction method 0.1 mg kg / BW rats, positive control methylprednisolone 0.072 mg/kg BW rats, at a dose of selected plant extracts 105 mg kg / BW rats, 210 mg kg / BW rats, and 560 mg kg / BB mouse.
