The journal is published three times a year, in April, August, and December by the Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Indonesia The review process in this journal employs a double-blind peer-review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.

Abstract

The latest news is not only obtained from television shows, but also through gossip accounts on social media. One of them is an account called @lambeturah. The purpose of this study is to discuss the Lambe Turah Instagram account as a trigger for controversy from the perspective of the hadith of the Prophet Saw. About liars who convey information that is not necessarily true and exaggerate the information. This type of research uses qualitative methods, namely the method of analyzing data not in the form of numbers using a library research approach. This study concludes that in this Instagram account tren there is an element of lies, this can be seen from the delivery of news which is only based on assumptions. It can also be seen from the description of the hadith about the delivery of authentic quality news that the Prophet Saw. taught us to say good things and be silent. This study recommends to the public as a guide before receiving news, to be more careful in using social media.

Abstract

Some hypotheses about the nature of man that have been shaped by various experts have reflected man's understanding of himself. Nevertheless, this understanding of human nature has not yet reached its final (final) point. The understanding of human nature is still developing today, so that an understanding of human nature can improve or perfect human science throughout intellectual history. Using philosophical and sufistic approaches or Islamic mysticism, this article will illustrate the idea of human nature according to jalaluddin Rumi's unusual view. The purpose of this study is to understand and analyze the nature of human beings simply in the sufistic teachings of Jalaluddin Rumi. The decision to choose Jalaluddin Rumi's sufistic approach as the object of study to understand the nature of man was caused by the human condition that had brought himself to lose the eschatologically lost meaning and motivation behind his own life. This research includes qualitative research using a library research approach to several primary and secondary literature. The results of this study show that the true nature of man lies in the part of his spirit (soul). The crisis that occurs in modern man today is a spiritual drought that has lost its true essence as a man created by God. For this reason, this study concludes that man must strive to trace his own spiritual essence, in order to always be a human being who is appointed by Allah Swt.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the philosophy of prophethood according to Ibn Sina and Murtadha Mutahhari. The method used in this research is the library method with a qualitative approach. Sources of data used in this study are primary data in the form of books written directly by Ibn Sina and Murtadha Mutahhari, and secondary data in the form of books, journals, documents, and others related to the object under study. The results of this study are differences of opinion regarding the concept of prophethood, according to Ibn Sina, humans are humans who have obtained divine power in the form of divine intuition given by God to the human He chooses. Meanwhile, according to Murtadha Mutahhari, the Prophet is a human being chosen by God to guide mankind and every Prophet has his characteristics. Among the characteristics of the Prophet are miracles, infallibility, guidance from Allah, noble goals, constructive, striving, and possessing human values, and having revelations in the form of holy books. This research is expected to have a contribution both theoretically and practically. Theoretically, this research is expected to provide insight into the treasures of Islamic scholarship, while practically it is expected to provide benefits for research readers.

Abstract

This study will discuss the concept of insan kamil in al-Jili's thought. The formulation of the problem in this study focuses on how the concept of insan kamil is in al-Jili's view and how the concept fits in the present. This research method uses literature study. The conclusion obtained in this research is that al-Jili conveys the concept Muhammad himself. Al-Jili also in expressing the idea of insan kamil was inspired by Ibn 'Arabi but he criticized several concepts of insan kamil from Ibn 'Arabi. Insan kamil in al-Jili's thinking is relevant today and his position can be an alternative solution to the crisis experienced by modern humans.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the understanding of hadith on the phenomenon of online gambling in the era of digital disruption. The method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach and also library research or a form of data collection through literature. The results and discussion of this study show that online gambling is not allowed. Islam makes gambling a serious mistake and despises what a form of gambling is. As for this criminal gambling included in the jarimah ta'zir, everyone commits forbidden deeds and has no had, qisas, and kafarat, for the judge is given the freedom to punish with ta'zir based on his ijtihad which in case can prevent him from repeating his deeds of being beaten or imprisoned and given minor contempt. As for the provisions of the jarimah ta'zir which remain non-existent, all are left to the government or the courts, in which case it is the judge who determines, as for the intent of this determination.

Abstract

Ibn Miskawaih in Tahdzib al-Akhlak spoke for the existence of humans as a creature that can achieve perfection. This study aims to describe the thought of the human philosophy of Ibn Miskawaih. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method of analysis based on literature study techniques (library research). As for the findings of this study, that humans according to Ibn Miskawaih consisted of three kinds of power, namely lust (syahwiyah), anger/brave (ghodbiyah) and thinking power (nathiqah). Humans will be perfect human if they are able to develop their thinking power. And to achieve human perfection must use as much as possible and practical power.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the phenomenon of matchmaking bureaus through the millennial era tantan application in the view of hadith. The methods used by researchers are descriptive-qualitative through literature studies. The results and discussions in this study include the definition of a matchmaking bureau, the positive and negative impacts of a matchmaking bureau, the definition of a tantan application, the mechanism for using a tantan application and hadith analysis. This study concluded that based on the hadith of Ibn Majah gained an understanding that it is okay to make friends and even find a partner through social media. However, you must be more careful because in addition to many positive impacts, of course there are negative impacts that can occur if misused.

Abstract

Emotions greatly affect human behavior because humans express themselves through emotions. Emotionally capable humans can understand, know, and handle feelings well. On the other hand, a wise attitude is able to guide a person in dealing with various and complicated life circumstances. This research aims to discuss the teachings of wisdom, especially in Taoism. This research uses qualitative method through literature study. The primary data used is a book entitled "A Translation of Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching and Wang Pi's Commentary" which was translated by Paul J. Lin. The secondary data used as support is an article entitled "Unsur-unsur Filsafat Manusia yang Terkandung dalam Pemikiran Filsafat Cina dan Manfaatnya bagi Peningkatan Sumber Daya Insani" written by Lasiyo. The findings of this research show that according to Taoism, wisdom is an attitude that is simple, gentle, natural, humble, and surrenders to the way of the universe. The conclusion of this research is that Taoism is an ancient philosophy that is practical and focuses on human life. Emotional control contained in the teachings of Taoism includes a wise attitude that relies on the role of intuition, passive, and pessimistic by always accepting all things that happen.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the comparison of political philosophy thoughts, especially regarding the caliphate of two Muslim intellectual figures from Egypt who lived in the same period. Ali Abdul Raziq and Rashid Rida, these two figures talked about the formulation of the ideal state form for Muslims and the implementation of Islamic government. The author writes down the arguments of the two figures and then compares them with the formulations of the two. Khilafah which is a system of government that follows the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad, sharia as the legal basis and Islam as an ideology in running the government. This type of research is library research by applying the comparative method, which prioritizes library materials as the main source. The results of the research from the two Muslim intellectual works from Ali Abdul Raziq's book entitled al-Islam wa Usul al-Hukm and the book Al-Khilafah wa Al-Imamah written by Rashid Rido, show that there are very basic differences in the thoughts of the two figures, where Rashid Rida firmly held the position that followers of Islam are required to uphold the caliphate in their country based on sharia and ijma. On the other hand, Ali Abdul Raziq argues that there is no binding obligation for Muslims to establish a caliphate in their country, he argues that Muslims are free to choose what ideology will be applied in a country. Because in the Qur'an and as-Sunnah do not regulate the form of state that Muslims must apply. The thought of Islamic political philosophy, of course, does not only come from these two figures, many Muslim intellectuals argue that this matter needs to be explored for the benefit of Muslims in terms of the state.

Abstract

This research aims to discuss Ibn Sina's thoughts related to the plague and the Covid-19 phenomenon. This research is very important to discuss because Ibn Sina is one of the muslim philosophers who has a link to how to deal with the Covid-19 phenomenon. This research uses a qualitative literature study method. As for the results and discussion in this study, Ibn Sina is one of the leading muslim philosophers and scientists who can be used as a benchmark for society in dealing with the plague. In this case that Ibn Sina's view, regarding the plague that can be faced by always maintaining health. This corona virus is a form of learning for the community, especially the muslim community to always get closer to Allah Swt. as said by Ibn Sina that every phenomenon that occurs must have wisdom. Therefore, there is a link between Ibn Sina's Thought and the Covid-19 phenomenon and synergizing with historical facts taught in Islam to address problems that occur in modern society can be addressed more wisely in facing challenges in the midst of the Covid-19 phenomenon and being able to strengthen ukhuwah fellow muslims. This research is an important thing in showing that the Covid-19 pandemic has a major influence on the social conditions of society.
