The journal is published three times a year, in April, August, and December by the Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Indonesia The review process in this journal employs a double-blind peer-review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.

Sufistik Cinta dalam Al-Qur’an: Kajian Semantik Haiyin Lana Lazulfa; Ahmad Munir

This study aims to discuss the sufistic love of the Qur'anic perspective with a semantic approach. Thiselitisting uses a qualitative approach by applying descriptive-analytical methods. The formal object of this study is semantic studies. Meanwhile, the material object in this study is sufistic love of the perspective of the Qur'an. The results of this research and discussion show that the semantic approach can help present and understand the meaning contained in the Qur'an whose original ideas were fragmented to achieve a totally unified idea (its worldview). Love (hubb) is divided into three parts, namely the love of Allah Swt., to man, the love of man to Allah Swt., and the love of man to his fellow human beings, all three of which have been clearly stated in several verses of the Qur'an. The conclusion of this study is that the true love of the faithful will rightly only be to God that they pour out all their lives that will turn the muhibbin away from everything but the one he loves.

The purpose of this study is to discuss music in terms of hadith. This research method is a qualitative type through literature study with content analysis. The results and discussion of this study include general views about music, syarah hadith about music and hadith analysis about music. The conclusion of this study shows that there is a hadith that prohibits music, but that is if the music is done for a bad purpose. Music, which includes listening to music, playing musical instruments or singing, is permitted as long as it is not excessive or does not violate Islamic law prevailing in society, does not harm ourselves and others, and does not make us neglect or forget our obligations to Allah. swt. This study recommends to all Muslim audiences about the importance of knowing how the law of music in the perspective of hadith.

This study has the aim of discussing the hadith about the dangers of keeping a cat by not caring for it properly or mistreating it such as locking it up by not giving it food and water. This study uses a qualitative method through a literature study applying the takhrij and syarah hadith methods through contemporary analysis. The result of this research is that the quality of the hadith about the dangers of keeping a cat by molesting it is found to be authentic according to the consensus of scholars and the results of a research review. With the rise of the cat lover community today, it is very helpful in increasing awareness of cats as well as providing education to the public. As we know cats are the favorite pets of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, because cats are not only cute, they are also clean and free from unclean animals, in Islam it is legal to keep a cat. Of the several virtues of keeping a cat, one of them is an activity that is favored by Allah SWT. There are conclusions that can be drawn from this research, namely increasing our concern for cats in maintaining them and freeing them from hunger or thirst, which are found in our environment.

The purpose of this study was to analyze mural art in Majalaya sub-district in terms of the art philosophy of Leo Tolstoy. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of field research. The results and discussion of this reseach include mural art in Majalaya District, Leo Tolstoy philosophy of art, and analysis of mural art in Majalaya District in terms of Leo Tolstoy art philosophy. The conclusion of this study is that mural art in Majalaya District in terms of principles and practice is relevant to Leo Tolstoy’s philosophy of art. The research is recommended for further and in-depth research on mural art and other arts in order to support its existence, especially in Majalaya District.

The purpose of this study is to find out the criteria for the validity of hadith according to Nashiruddin Albani and Al-Ghumari and to find out the differences and similarities of the criteria for the validity of hadith according to Nashruddin Albani and Al-Ghumari. The research method used is comparative study. The results of this study showed that technically, the two hadith scholars have their own characteristics in researching the validity of a hadith. The criteria of shahih hadith according to the two hadith scholars do have similarities and differences with some other hadith scholars so as to cause some controversy.

This study aims to discuss the concept of the hadith of good and bad friends. This research is a qualitative type through literature study with content analysis. The results and discussion include general views about peers, hadith syarah about choosing good friends, and hadith concepts in choosing good friends. The conclusion of the study shows that in choosing friends, one should pay attention to the criteria for good friends and bad friends according to what the Prophet taught in authentic hadith with the concept of parables. This study recommends the importance of choosing good friends in the life of this world and the hereafter.

Students have busy activities, this causes students to experience health problems, both physically and psychologically. One way to overcome this problem is to sleep quality by listening to murottal Al-Qur'an therapy. This study aims to determine the murrotal method as Al-Qur'an therapy on sleep quality in students Majoring in Sufism and Psychotherapy class 2018 as well as to determine the impact of murrotal on sleep quality in students majoring in Sufism and Psychotherapy class 2018. The method used in this study was to descriptive qualitative approach, namely observation, literature study, and interviews. The results and discussion in this study show that murottal can be one of the Qur'anic therapies for students who are busy with lectures, so that they have good sleep quality. The conclusion of this study is that murottal Al-Qur'an therapy has a positive impact on sleep quality in students with a method that can be easily done by everyone.

This study aims to discuss the hadith syarah about seclusion regarding the phenomenon of the rise of pre-wedding culture in society. This study uses a qualitative approach that emphasizes literature review through the takhrij and syarah hadith methods. The results of this study found that the quality status of the hadith about seclusion is authentic. This hadith is judged authentic because all narrators are dzabit and fair (tsiqot) and because it is authentic and valid, this hadith is considered maqbul (accepted) so that it can be practiced. The conclusion of this study is that pre-wedding that is rampant in society contains elements of seclusion. Since the time of the Prophet, seclusion has been forbidden because it invites heinous acts. Therefore, the law of pre-wedding is haram. Except if there are no elements prohibited by the Shari'a and the intention is only to make it easier for the invited guests to recognize the bride and groom.

This study aims to discuss the interpretation of the verses about the hijab, especially QS. al-Ahzab [33]: 59 and QS. an-Nūr [24]: 31 by comparing two interpretations, namely Musṭafa al-Marāgî in Tafsir al-Marāg and Hamka in Tafsir al-Azhar. The approach used is a qualitative approach through literature study by applying a descriptive analytical explanation system with a comparative interpretation method (muqāran). The results of this study indicate that there are differences in interpretation between Musṭafa al-Marāgî and Hamka regarding QS. al-Ahzab [33]: 59 and QS. an-Nūr [24]: 31, although both agree that the aurat is a part of the body that must be covered, however, they differ in giving the meaning of the veil, as well as in extending the veil. This research recommends to academics to develop it further. It is also expected to be additional information on the interpretations of scholars who are not contemporary, not as traditional and cultural, so that they are able to see a much more colorful variety of interpretations.

One of the recommendations to minimize the spread of the Covid-19 virus is by implementing health procedures, such as wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility. However, the application of this process raises a philosophical question regarding the meaning of human freedom, namely whether this process limits or hinders human freedom and how to critically examine the meaning of human freedom during a pandemic in the face of the Covid-19 health protocol. This paper includes a literature study, using qualitative methods, and John Stuart Mill's theory of robustness as an analytical knife. The findings in this paper are that first, health protocols must be understood as an effort to prevent the spread of related viruses and to save lives and protect human survival. This must be used as a basis for awareness for the common good. Second, the community in dealing with Covid-19 has expressed its freedom integrally. In this pandemic situation, if he wants to achieve his life goals, a collective awareness is needed, in which he cannot be selfish and only fight for his own freedom. However, it is also the freedom of others, which he must protect and respect.
