Istoria: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Batanghari diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Batanghari. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali setahun, setiap bulan April dan September yang berisi hasil penelitian (lapangan atau studi pustaka) kajian teoretis maupun kajian kritis. Jurnal ini merupakan salah satu media publikasi bagi penelitian dengan kajian terkini dalam bidang sejarah dan pendidikan sejarah yang meliputi ranah sejarah dan pembelajaran sejarah itu sendiri. Dalam penelitian sejarah teoritis dan kritis mencakup sejarah dunia, sejarah Indonesia, dan sejarah lokal sedangkan pada bidang pendidikan sejarah mencakup strategi pembelajaran sejarah, metode pembelajaran sejarah, evaluasi pembelajaran sejarah, dan hal-hal lain yang berkaitan dengan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan sejarah.

Abstract

AbstractIntroduction Post is a job that is highly valued in society both in service and friendliness. other than that Post Introduction is part of PT. Pos Indonesia is a state-owned company in Indonesia which is engaged in shipping services. Nationally before, PT. Pos Indonesia has changed its name several times and the company's name change and company status change which includes the length of the journey. Until June 20, 1995, the change of name and status of the company was set as PT. Indonesian post. With the change in the name and status of PT. Pos Indonesia in the delivery post also changed since 1995. The post carrier no longer delivers letters or packages using bicycles but has changed to a motorcycle to speed up the tasks of post carriers with orange pride uniforms. A close relationship between the Post and the Letters and the recipient is formed by the presence of the post as the party which mediates the sending of the letter from one party to the other party. Because at that time the letter became the most common medium for delivering messages so that it was the responsibility of the mail delivery person or postman from time to time. With the influence of technology, the services of Postal Deliveries began to diminish, marked by the number of private PTs providing the same services as Pos. therefore it needs a change in PT. Pos Indonesia Jambi branch, so that people continue to use postal services in any case.Keywords: Introduction, POS Indonesia Jambi Branch.AbstrakPengantar Pos merupakan pekerjaan yang sangat dihargai dalam masyarakat baik dalam layanan dan keramahan.  selain itu Pengantar Pos merupakan bagian dari  PT. Pos Indonesia suatu perusahaan milik Negara di Indonesia yang bergerak di bidang pelayanan jasa pengiriman. Secara nasional sebelumnya PT. Pos Indonesia mengalami beberapa kali perubahan nama perusahaan dan perubahan nama peruahaan dan perubahan status perusahaan yang mencakup panjang perjalananya. Hingga pada tanggal 20 juni 1995 perubahaan nama dan status perusahaan ditetapkan menjadi PT. Pos Indonesia. Dengan perubahan nama dan status PT. Pos Indonesia di bagian pengantar pos juga mengalami perubahan semenjak tahun 1995. Pengantar pos tidak lagi mengantar surat atau paket mengunakan sepeda akan tetapi berganti menjadi sebuah sepeda motor untuk mempercepat tugas para pengantar pos dengan  seragam kebangganya berwarna orange. Hubungan erat antara Pos dan Surat serta penerima terbentuk dengan kehadiran pos sebagai pihak yang memediasi pengiriman surat dari satu pihak kepada pihak lainnya. Karena pada saat itu surat menjadi media penyampaian pesan yang paling lazim digunakan sehingga menjadi tanggungjawab sipengantar surat atau oleh pak pos dari masa ke masa. Dengan adanya pengaruh teknologi membuat Jasa pelayanan pengantar Pos mulai berkurang, ditandai dengan banyaknya PT-PT swasta yang memberikan layanan jasa sama seperti Pos. oleh karena itu diperlukannya suatu perubahan didalam PT. Pos Indonesia cabang Jambi, agar masyarakat tetap terus menggunakan jasa pos dalam hal apapun.Kata kunci: Pengantar, POS Indonesia Cabang Jambi.

Abstract

Abstract               This study aims to develop media to discuss the history of Vostenigde Oostindische Compagnie or VOC in Indonesia in Class XI IPS 1 of SMA Negeri 10 Jambi City. This research uses research and development methods. The subjects of the study were students of class XI IPS 1 of SMA Negeri 10 Jambi City in semester I. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires, interviews, and interviews. The research instrument uses content validity. Data analysis techniques using descriptive quantitative and qualitative.               The comic media developed during the development of ADDIE are grouped into five stages, Analysis (analysis), Design (design), Development (Development), Implementation (Implementation), and Evaluation (Evaluation). Media writing that is developed qualitatively and qualitatively deserves to be applied in learning. In general, each material and media expert were 8.38 for material experts and (curriculum suitability, correctness of content and presentation of material including very good) and 8.47 (production, visual design, and technical quality) including very good list). Meanwhile, which provides students at the pilot stage, wider trials, and operational try respectively 10.70 (including very good criteria); 14.29 (including very good); and 14.84 (including very good criteria). Qualitatively, the comic media "Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie or VOC in Indonesia" is able to attract the attention of students to learning, allow learning of students, and also easier for participants.Keywords: Media Comics, Learning History. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media komik yang layak untuk pembelajaran tentang sejarah Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie atau VOC di Indonesia pada Kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 10 Kota Jambi.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 10 Kota Jambi semester I. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket, observasi, dan wawancara. Instrumen penelitian diuji dengan menggunakan validitas isi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif.Media komik dikembangkan mengacu pada tahap pengembangan ADDIE yang dikelompokkan dalam lima tahap, Analyze (analisis), Design (perancangan), Development (pengembangan), Implementation (penerapan), dan Evaluation (penilaian). Media komik yang dikembangkan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif layak diterapkan dalam pembelajaran. Secara kuantitatif, penilaian dari ahli materi dan ahli media masing-masing adalah 8,38 untuk ahli materi dan (kesesuaian kurikulum, kebenaran isi dan cara penyajian materi termasuk kriteria sangat baik) dan 8,47 (pertimbangan produksi, desain visual, dan kualitas teknis termasuk kriteria sangat baik). Sementara itu, penilaian yang diberikan siswa pada tahap uji lapangan, uji lapangan lebih luas, dan uji operasional masing-masing secara berturut-turut 10,70 (termasuk kriteria sangat baik); 14,29 (termasuk kriteria sangat baik); dan 14,84 (termasuk kriteria sangat baik). Secara kualitatif, media komik “Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie atau VOC di Indonesia” mampu menarik perhatian peserta didik untuk belajar, memudahkan belajar peserta didik, serta merangsang peserta didik mengingat materi secara lebih mudah.Kata kunci : Media Komik, Pembelajaran Sejarah.

Abstract

Angso Duo Market is one of the largest Traditional Markets in Jambi City, the buildings in this market have been revitalized or renovated. Merchants at the Angso Duo Market distribute goods to earn income, the income received by traders every day is uncertain. This study aims to, one how the existence of women in the Angso Duo market and, two how female traders carry out their activities as traders and as housewives. exercise his or her own judgment in selecting traders to participate in this study. This research was conducted at the Angso Duo Baru Market, Jambi City in August 2021 to October 2021. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously knowing the development of the number of traders from year to year, the comparison between female and male traders, education level, types of merchandise , the role of women traders, the contribution of women traders to family income, the role of women traders in socio-economic life, the allocation of women's working time.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the use of mind map media is expected to increase the activity and learning outcomes of students of class VIII IPS Terpadu in SMP Negeri 2 Junjung Sirih Solok District. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The object of this research is the students of class VIII consisting of 26 students. This research was conducted on November 22, 2017 - January 13, 2018. The study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. At the time of the research, the researcher used observation sheet to see the activity change and the students' learning result during the learning process using mind map learning media. The data obtained is processed by percentage technique. Based on this research, it is found that with the use of mind map can improve the activity and the result of student learning but in the implementation still require the learning strategy and good class management.Keywords: Mind Map, Learning Activity, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The purpose of this development research is to find out the development of Youtube-Based Learning Media in learning history material at Adhyaksa 1 Jambi High School. To see student responses when learning to use YouTube media. The development model used is ADDIE which consists of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of this study were students of SMA Adhyaksa 1 Jambi class XI. The feasibility of learning media refers to the results of the media assessment by experts on the developed learning media. The YouTube-based history learning media on the History of Islamic Development in Jambi City which was developed has met the criteria for valid/valid use for class XI high school students. The results of the media assessment by validator I obtained a value of 90.3 with the eligibility criteria of Very Valid. The results of the assessment of the validator II material obtained a value of 87.5 with the eligibility criteria of Very Valid. The results of the history teacher's assessment on the media aspect obtained a value of 100 with very good criteria and the material aspect obtained a value of 97.5 with very good criteria. The results of the assessment of student responses in the first trial obtained a percentage of 81% with the eligibility criteria Very Good, the second trial 90% with the eligibility criteria Very Good, and the third trial obtained a percentage of 90.6% with the eligibility criteria Very Good.

Abstract

AbstrakPembelajaran abad 21 pada kurikulum 2013 mencerminkan empat hal ; (1) Critical Thinking and Problem Solving; (2) Creativity and Innovatin; (3) Communication; (4) Collaboration. konsep berpikir kritis tersebut berkaitan dengan strategi pembelajaran berbasis kontekstual menurut Sanjaya (2016:255) Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) adalah suatu strategi pembelajaran yang menekankan kepada proses keterlibatan peserta didik secara penuh untuk dapat menemukan materi yang dipelajari dan menghubungkannya dengan situasi kehidupan nyata sehingga mendorong peserta didik untuk dapat menerapkannya dalam kehidupan mereka. Pentingya keterampilan berpikir kritis khususnya pada pembelajaran IPS salah satu kecakapan hidup (life skill) yang perlu dikembangkan melalui proses pendidikan. Peserta didik yang telah memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam mengkomunikasikan ide atau pendapat dengan menulis digunakan sebagai alat yang penting bagi mereka. Dalam menulis, mereka harus jelas dan akurat menganalisis dan mengevaluasi ide-ide dalam buku teks pegangan peserta didik dan juga pada pemikiran mereka sendiri. Bahwa implementasi kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam buku teks pegangan peserta didik memiliki kemampuan yang berpikir kritis yang memadai sangat berguna dan sebagai bekal dalam menghadapi kehidupan sekarang dan di masa yang akan datang, mereka akan mampu berpikir rasional dan logis dalam menerima informasi dan sistematis dalam memecahkan masalah.Kata Kunci : Implementasi;  Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis;  Pembelajaran IPS SMP

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian dan pengembangan ini berawal dari permasalahan yang terjadi di SMA Negeri 7 Tanjung Jabung Timur, karena proses evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan dengan cara mengerjakan tugas di buku latihan sehingga siswa merasa bosan pada saat proses pembelajaran. Media evaluasi bisa menjadi alternatif pada permasalahan yang terjadi. Penelitian ini telah menghasilkan produk media berupa media kuis interaktif berbasis PowerPoint materi Imperialisme dan Kolonialisme di Indonesiadan menerapkannya di SMA Negeri 7 Tanjung Jabung Timur.Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan yang terdiri dari lima tahap yaitu: 1). Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development 4) Implementation, dan 5) Evaluation. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 7 Tanjung Jabung Timur dengan subjek siswa kelas XI IPA 2 yang berjumlah 3 orang untuk uji coba perorang, 10 orang siswa kelas XI IPA 1 untuk uji coba kelompok dan 30 orang siswa kelas XI IPA 1 untuk uji coba lapangan. Dari hasil validasi ahli media mendapatkan nilai 92% yang termasuk kategori sangat baik, dan mendapatkan nilai 98% dari hasil validasi ahli materi yang termasuk kategori sangat baik, setelah diperoleh hasil validasi selanjutnya dilakukan uji coba perorang, uji coba kelompok dan uji coba lapangan. Nilai uji coba perorang mendapatkan rata-rata presentase 87%, uji coba kelompok dengan rata-rata nilai presentase 98% dan nilai uji coba lapangan dengan rata-rata presentase 99%. Dari hasil uji coba produk yang dilakukan maka, media pembelajaran termasuk dalam kategori Sangat Baik.Kata Kunci: Media, Kuis Iteraktif, PowerPoint AbstractThis research and development started from the problems that occurred in SMA Negeri 7 Tanjung Jabung Timur, because the learning evaluation process was carried out by doing assignments in the exercise book so that students felt bored during the learning process. Evaluation media can be an alternative to the problems that occur. This research has produced media products in the form of interactive quiz media based on PowerPoint material on Imperialism and Colonialism in Indonesia and implemented it in SMA Negeri 7 Tanjung Jabung Timur. This research uses a development model consisting of five stages, namely: 1). Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development 4) Implementation, and 5) Evaluation. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 7 Tanjung Jabung Timur with 3 students in class XI IPA 2 for individual trials, 10 students in class XI IPA 1 for group testing and 30 students in class XI IPA 1 for field trials. From the results of the validation of the media experts, they got a value of 92% which was included in the very good category, and got a value of 98% from the validation results of the material experts which were included in the very good category. After the validation results were obtained, individual trials, group trials and field trials were carried out. Individual trial scores get an average percentage of 87%, group trials with an average percentage value of 98% and field trials with an average percentage of 99%. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the teacher's communication had in the learning process using the WhatsApp application on the learning activities of class X students on History material at State High School 4 Jambi City. This research is a descriptive quantitative study to determine the quality of learning by using the WhatsApp application in history learning at SMA Negeri 4 Jambi City. Based on the results of research that has been done regarding the use of the WhatsApp application in history learning at SMA Negeri 4 Jambi City. Based on the data from the questionnaire results, 36 students consisted of three indicators, each of which obtained a percentage of 75.10% classified as "Effective Enough" on the indicators of learning quality. While the other indicators are indicators of student readiness in participating in learning with a percentage of 72.44% in the "Effective Enough" category. Furthermore, the last one on the student time indicator with a percentage of 71.11% is classified in the "Effective Enough" category. So it can be concluded that the use of the whatsapp application in history learning at SMA N 4 Jambi City shows an average percentage of 72.83% of indicators classified as "Effective Enough.

Abstract

AbstrakThis research departs from what happened at SMAN 6 Muaro Jambi where online learning has been carried out since the spread of the Corona virus or COVID-19 so that students carry out learning activities at home.This research aims to determine online learning and the effectiveness of the implementation of online learning in history subjects in class X SMAN 6 Muaro Jambi. The research method used in this research is qualitative with a case study model. This research was conducted at SMAN 6 Muaro Jambi. The subjects in this study were teachers and participants in class X SMAN 6 Muaro Jambi. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, documents and documentation. Based on the results of the research conducted, it shows that the history teacher of class X at SMAN 6 Muaro Jambi has used the syllabus that has been developed by the Ministry of Education and Culture as a guideline for preparing the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP). Online learning will continue to be carried out considering the incomplete Covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia. The lack of facilities and infrastructure which is influenced by economic factors and technological unpreparedness is also an obstacle to the ongoing online learning activities in class X SMA Negeri 6 Muaro Jambi. So that the learning outcomes provided by students are not 100% smooth or effective.Keywords: Online Learning, History Learning AbstrakPeneltian ini berangkat dari apa yang terjadi di SMAN 6 Muaro Jambi dimana pembelajaran daring dilakukan semenjak adanya penyebaran virus Corona atau COVID-19 sehingga siswa melaksanakan kegiatan belajar di rumah. Penelitian ini bertujaun untuk mengetahui pembelajaran daring dan efektivitas dari pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring mata pelajaran sejarah di kelas X SMAN 6 Muaro Jambi.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan model studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 6 Muaro Jambi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan peserta didi kelas X SMAN 6 Muaro Jambi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dokumen dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa guru sejarah kelas X SMAN 6 Muaro Jambi sudah menggunakan silabus yang telah dikembangkan oleh Kemendikbud sebagai pedoman penyusunan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP). Pembelajaran daring akan terus dilakukan mengingat belum tuntasnya wabah Covid-19 di Indonesia. Kurang nya sarana dan prasarana yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor ekonomi dan ketidaksiapan teknologi juga menjadi suatu hambatan dalam berlangsungnya kegiatan belajar daring di kelas X SMA Negeri 6 Muaro Jambi. Sehingga hasil belajar yang diberikan oleh pemelajar tidak 100% lancar atau efektif.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Daring, Pembelajaran Sejarah.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan keberadaan Sado di Kota Jambi sebagai produk budaya dan produk ekonomi periode 1980-2010. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode sejarah meliputi tahapan heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Sumber sejarah yang digunakan antara lain buku-buku, skripsi, tesis, artikel dalam jurnal ilmiah dan rujukan tambahan dari media internet, ditambah dengan wawancara. Didalam penelitian ini digunakan beberapa pendekatan dan ilmu-ilmu sosial seperti pendekatan antropologi dan sosiologi. Pendekatan antropologi dimaksudkan untuk melihat makna dari Sado sebagai alat transportasi di Kota Jambi. Sementara itu pendekatan sosiologi digunakan untuk melihat relasi sosial terhadap  kusir Sado, penumpang Sado dalam hal ini adalah penduduk di Kota Jambi. Pendekatan ekonomi ditujukan untuk melihat pengaruh Sado dalam kehidupan ekonomi para kusir. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa Sado di Kota Jambi  megalami kemunduran fungsi, makna. Selama periode 1980-2010 terjadi perubahan-perubahan fungsi  Sado dari angkutan pribadi menjadi angkutan umum, selain itu juga terjadi perubahan makna yaitu dari yang dianggap sangat berharga menjadi barang yang biasa saja. Pada akhirnya dapat disimpulkan bahwa Sado di Kota Jambi bukanlah hasil kebudayaan Jambi, melainkan dibawa oleh pendatang dari Padang dengan tujuan merantau ke Jambi untuk berprofesi sebagai kusir Sado. Meskipun demikian Sado tidak dapat dilepaskan peranannya di Kota di masa silam yaitu sebagai alat untuk memobilisasi penduduk demi menggerakkan roda perekonomian.Kata kunci : Transfortasi  Sado, Kota Jambi. AbstractThis study aims to explain the existence of Sado in Jambi City as a cultural and economic product for the period 1980-2010. The research method used is the historical method including heuristic, criticism, interpretation, and historiography stages. Historical sources used include books, theses, theses, articles in scientific journals and additional references from internet media, plus interviews. In this research, several approaches and social sciences such as anthropology and sociology were used. The anthropological approach is intended to see the meaning of Sado as a means of transportation in Jambi City. Meanwhile, the sociological approach is used to see the social relations with the Sado coachmen, the passengers of Sado in this case are residents of Jambi City. The economic approach is aimed at seeing the influence of Sado in the economic life of the coachmen. The results showed that Sado in Jambi City experienced a decline in function, meaning. During the period 1980-2010 there were changes in the function of Sado from private transportation to public transportation, besides that there was also a change in meaning, from those considered very valuable to ordinary goods. In the end, it can be concluded that Sado in Jambi City is not the result of Jambi culture, but was brought by migrants from Padang with the aim of migrating to Jambi to work as a Sado driver. Even so, Sado cannot be separated from its role in the city in the past, namely as a tool to mobilize the population to move the wheels of the economy.Keywords: Sado Transfortasi, Jambi City.
