Abstract

Rice is one of the leading commodities for Baureno District, Bojonegoro Regency. Along with high revenue potential, farmers working in this area also have to face various agricultural risks. This study aims to analyze the production risk and income risk of rice farming. The study was conducted in Baureno District, Bojonegoro Regency, involving 55 farmers as respondents who were selected by simple random sampling. The level of production risk and farm income is calculated by the coefficient of variation analysis. The results of this study showed that rice farming in Baureno sub-district has high production risk and income risk, as indicated by the analysis of the coefficient of variation on production risk of 0.584 and income risk of 0.626.Keywords: Production risk, income, rice

Abstract

Research on efforts to increase the quantity of leaves of mulberry (Morus alba) with a wide high-nitrogen fertilizer and pruning was conducted in August and October 2015. The research location PPUS Candiroto KBM Agroforestry Perum Perhutani Unit I Central Java, in the district of Temanggung. Altitude of 600 m above the surface laut.Jenis latosol soil with a pH of 6. The research was conducted using a split plot experiment (3x3) are arranged in a complete randomized block design, repeated three times. The first factor is kind of Phonska nitrogen fertilizer, Urea and ZA. The second factor is high trimming 40, 60 and 80 cm from the ground. The results showed that fertilization using nitrogen fertilizers can promote the growth of ZA shoot length, shoot number, leaf number, stem diameter shoots, shoots fresh weight and dry weight of shoots on mulberry plants. High-trimming 60 cm of the soil surface increases the best results in the long shoots, shoot number, leaf number, stem diameter shoots, fresh weight tu-nas, and dry weight of shoots on mulberry plants.

Abstract

A research to study the effect of the use of growing media on the growth a seedlings of cucumber (Cucumis sativus, L.) treated approach grafting with pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata).The research had been conducted on December 5, 2014 until January 17, 2015 in the village of Sangrahan, District Kranggan,Temanggung Regency. Altitude ± 600 m. This study used factorial experiment (2x3) arranged in completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications. The first factor: is day of grafting 10, 15, and 20 days aftersowing. The second factor  is growing media cocopeat and husk. The analysis showed that grafting on 15 days led to higher seedling , highest number of successful approach grafting, fresh weight and dry weight of seedlings uper part, as well as the highest root fresh weight. Cocopeat cause the highest number of successful approach grafting, fresh weighting and dry weight of seedlings uper part and higher rooting fresh weight. Grafting on difrent days and grown on different media responded regularly on observed parameters.

Abstract

The research of effort to increase the yield of kale (Ipomoea reptans) was conducted on 01 August 2016 until 06 November 2016. The field experiment was on land of post eruption of Mount Merapi in Sawangan Village, Sawangan District, Magelang Regency. The altitude is 485 m, The soil isregosol with pH 5,5. The research used factorial experiment. One factor treatment of age of harvesting 17, 20, 23, 26, 29, 30, and 32 days after planting arranged in randomized complete block design replicated four times. The results show that the treatments of days of harvesting high significantly influence all observed parameters. Increasing number of days of harvesting may increase parameters observed. The highest yield of edible parts is on 27th days of harvesting.

Abstract

The research on increasing the quantity of shallots (Allium cepa fa. ascalonicum L.) with various sources of kalium and sulfur, conducted in July until September 2017 in Sawangan, Magelang. The latitude is 400 m, with the soils regosol and pH 5,6. The research used factorial experiment (3x3) arranged in a randomized complete block design, with three blocks. The first factor is the source of kaliumwich consists of three levels, without kalium, KCl and KNO3. The second factor is the source of sulfur wich consists of three levels, without sulfur, ZA and Petro-Cas. The result of the research show that KCl fertilizer increased longest leaf length, fresh weight of bulb per plot and dry weight of bulb per plot. KNO3 fertilizer increased fresh weight of bulb per plot, dry weight of bulb per plot, fresh weight of stover and dry weight of stover. ZA fertilizer increased longest leaf length, fresh weight of bulb per hill, dry weight keep thr bulb per hill, fresh weight of bulb per plot, dry weight of bulb per plot, fresh weight of stover and dry weight of stover. Petro-cas fertilizer not increased in all observation parameter. The combination of treatments of kalium and sulfur sources give the same results on the fresh weight of bulb per plot and dry weight of  bulb per plot.

Abstract

A research on the application of kinds of manure and foliar fertilizer on eggplant yield (Solanum melongena, L.) Antaboga variety. The research conducted in March until July 2018. Location of research in Kliwonan, Sukomulyo, Kajoran Magelang. The latitude is 660 m. The soils is latosol with pH 6,6. The research method use factorial experiment (3x3) arranged in a randomized complete block design with repeated three times. The first factor is kinds of manure, cow manure, chicken manure, and goat manure. The second factor is kinds of foliar fertilizer, Gandasil B, Topsil B, and Neo Kristalon. The results of the research show that chicken manure increases the plant height, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, and fresh weight of stover per plant. Neo Kristalon increases plant height. Different manure on different foliar fertilizer give regular  respond on  all observed parameters.

Abstract

Ecologically Invasive Aliens Species (IAS) poses a particular threat to the conservation area that is a biodiversity sanctuary, Baturraden Botanical Garden (KRB). The purpose of this research is to find out the composition of IAS in KRB. This method of research is a survey method with purposive random sampling. Observation and prosecution is done by dividing krb into 10 plots. Information on the introduction process as well as conservation strategy recommendations is obtained through library studies and interviews with resouce person. The data then analyzed using the Importance Value Index (INP). The results showed that the IAS introduction process began in 1952 through the utilization of Protected Forest (HL) and Limited Production Forest (HPT) in KRB; The vegetation community structure in the KRB is dominated by spikes (saplings), seedlings, trees and poles. There were 13 IAS species consisting of 9 families; Seedling and saplings Calliandra houstoniana var. calothyrsus (Meissner) Barneby and Agathis dammara (Lamb). Rich. while at Agathis dammara (Lamb) tree level. Rich. and Schima wallichii Choisy. potential as a special IAS in the KRB; Controlling can be done through mitigation, periodic maintenance and eradication. Abstract

Local food that is owned by each region is a great potential for creating food independence and can reduce the dependence of the community on food from outside. Efforts that can be made to meet food needs are to explore every potential local food resource in the area. Cibuntu Village, Pasawahan district, Kuningan regency is one of the village in which the diversity of plant species is stored, especially food plant and has the potential to be developed into tourism. This study aims to examine the diversity of food plant species and the potential for the use of food plants by the community, as well as to determine the distribution of food plants found in the tourist route. This study uses an exploratory method to collect data on the diversity of food plants and interview methods to collect data on the use of food plants community. The result of this study showed that there were 58 species found and include in 33 families. Meanwhile, 52 species of plants use for food were identified that have been used by the community as a source of carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, spices, and drinks. The distribution of food plants is widely spread along the tourist route which is mapped into the base map through GIS.

Abstract

The research about effort to increase the yield of sweet corn (Zea mays var. saccharata Strurt.) using mikoriza doses and planting distance was conducted in August until November 2016. Location in forestry and agriculture institute axperimental Dlimas, Tegalrejo, Magelang. The altitude 478 m using latosol soil with pH 6,8. A research tipe (3X3) factorial experiment arrangged in randomized completed, block design repeated three times. The first factor was mikoriza dose of 0, 30 and 60 g/plant. The second factor was planting distance of 70 cm X 20 cm, 70 cm X 30 cm and 70 cm X 40 cm. The result of the research showed that mikoriza dose of 30 g/plant can increase the highly on number of leaves, weight of cob with husks per plant, weight of cob without husks per plant, cob lenght, composition of sugar and number of lines. Planting distance of 70 cm X 20 cm gived the highest plant height. While planting space of 70 cm X 40 cm gived the highest of leaves number, weight of cob with husks per plant, weight of cob without husks per plant, cob lenght, composition of sugar and the number of lines. Increasing mikoriza dose and planting distance different on the number of leaves.
