Abstract

Mompreneur village, which is currently established under the guidance of the HMTG "GAIA" Village Development and Empowerment Program Team (P3D), has succeeded with the traditional drink product "seruputan" which has been able to be sold outside of Yogyakarta. However, the current problem is that the production of the product is constrained due to the lack of raw materials for the main spices. On the other hand, there are residents' land that has not been used. The purpose of this service is to increase the spice land by utilizing the land of residents who are not yet productive. As a result, the creation of a “sruputan” spice garden together with the assisted residents was achieved according to the target by planting various spices that sparked business ideas in innovating various flavors of 'sruputan' products and other forms of slurry products. Keywords: Spice Garden,  traditional drinks, village empowerment, putat wetan

Abstract

Virgin coconut oil (VCO) is coconut oil that contains medium chain fatty acids (MCFA) which are easily broken down by the body in very high amounts. Besides that, VCO also has very high antioxidant content such as tocopherol and beta-carotene. This PPM activity aims to provide VCO Making Training with the Enzymatic Method with pineapple fruit extract and fermentation with baker's yeast in the community of RT 12 RW 03 Pematang Governor Village, Muara Bangkahulu District, Bengkulu City. The activity began with a lecture followed by a discussion and practice of making VCO with enzymatic and fermentation methods. The results of observations in the field indicate that the target community of this PPM activity is very enthusiastic to take part in this activity because they feel they have gained additional new knowledge about how to make VCO which can complement their knowledge of the known VCO making technique, namely the fishing method. With the knowledge of making VCO taught in this activity, the target community will be able to have alternative methods for making VCO other than what has been known so far with easily obtained equipment. Keywords:   VCO; MCFA; antivirus; enzymatic; Fermentation

Abstract

Al-Awwabin Mosque is a mosque built in 1967. Currently the condition of the building is no longer able to accommodate pilgrims. Based on this, the mosque administrator took the initiative to build a new mosque, with a more adequate capacity. However, the mosque administrator experienced some obstacles in planning process of the mosque, including 1. Complexity of land topography problems, 2. Form of architectural design, structure, and preparation of the necessary budget plan, 3. The absence of human resources that have adequate competence in building planning. Based on this, the PKM team from the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Borneo Tarakan strives to make a scientific contribution in the planning of the mosque building, which aims to produce a mosque design with adequate capacity and has architectural value and structural strength in accordance with applicable standardization. The method is initiated by mapping the land, soil investigation (CPT), making preliminary architectural designs, analyzing building structures, making detailed drawings of building construction, and finally calculating the value of the required cost budget plan. The results of this activity is to provide an alternative design with a capacity of 659 worshippers, greater than the capacity of the mosque today. The resulting design of the new mosque consists of 3 floors of the building, where the 1st floor serves as a vehicle parking area and secretariat office, the 2nd and 3rd floors function as the main worship space. The construction of the mosque uses reinforced concrete material with a deep foundation that is Strouss Pile at a depth of 13,00 meters. The estimated value of the cost budget plan is Rp. 10.735.848.000,- based on the basic price of employment and material wages in the Tarakan City area.  All design documents consisting of detail drawings, structure design, and DED are submitted to the mosque administrator, which will further serve for the management of building permits as well as references in the implementation of mosque construction. Keywords : Design of the mosque; Community service; Structure of the building; Civil engineering.

Abstract

Abstract

Since the emergence of Covid-19 in Indonesia in early 2020, it has spread throughout Indonesia, including rural areas. The Serut District, which is a border area, namely the Klaten district with Gunung Kidul, cannot be separated from the spread of Covid-19. The condition of the people of Serut Village, which is a genuine rural community, causes a lack of understanding of the dangers of the virus. The confusion of news in the mass media and social media has made the understanding of Covid-19 blurry. One of them is a non-invasive oxygen saturation detection system technology using an oximeter to monitor blood health conditions. This is very important, especially for patients who have confirmed Covid-19 and are self-isolating at home. In this service, the implementing team collaborates with the Serut Village government and the ranks of the Covid-19 task force to mitigate Covid-19 in the Serut Village area. The programs that will be implemented include providing materials and demonstrations for detecting oxygen saturation in the blood using an oximeter to the Covid-19 task force. The provision of materials and demonstrations will be continued with data sampling and analysis to the people of Serut Village. This program aims to introduce the system of measuring oxygen saturation in the blood and how to measure it independently. This is very important considering that oxygen saturation in the blood is one of the parameters in Covid-19 patients.  Keywords:  Oximeter; Blood Oxygen Saturation ;Satgas Covid-19; Kalurahan Serut
