Abstract

The use of generic drugs in developing countries is still low. This is influenced by people's knowledges, perceptions, and attitudes towards generics which are also still low. Medical advisor and candidate ofmedical advisor need to be given good knowledge of generic drugs that they are expected to provide communication, information, and education actively about generic drugs. In mature healthcare systems, both pharmacists and physicians support the use of generic drugs and offer them to all patients regardless of socioeconomic status. A lack of trust in manufacturers and the quality of the generic drugs affects how pharmacists and physicians consider generic drug use in less mature healthcare systems. The government policy on replacing branded drugs with generic drugs is one solution to increase the use of generic drugs.

Abstract

Nugget is a food product which can be used as an alternative snack. One way to get the benefits of tempe, banana bud and moringa is by making processed nuggets which are healthy and nutritious snacks. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of preference and nutritional value of the Tejake nugget. The research method is a quantitative test with an experimental approach and uses 25 panelists to see the level of preference based on organoleptic tests. Data were analyzed using the Friedman and Wilcoxon tests. Nutritional value is determined using the Nutrisurvey application. Organoleptic test results based on the highest level of preference on the taste and texture of the Tejake nugget were in the T2 treatment and the highest level of preference on color and flavor were in the T1 treatment. Based on the Friedman and Wilcoxon test, from the organoleptic test performed, the three parameters namely color, flavor and texture have a significant value smaller than 0.05 (p <0.05), whereas for the taste parameter the significant value is greater than 0 .05 (p> 0.05). This shows that the substitution of banana bud and moringa leaves does not affect the taste of Tejake nuggets produced. The high nutritional value of Tejake nuggets can makes an alternative to healthy and nutritious snacks

Abstract

Kaffir lime (Citrus histrix) is one of the plants with abundant flavonoid content in the leaves. The characteristic flavonoids with the two benzene ring groups cause the process of finding an appropriate extraction technique. This study aims to determine the total flavonoid levels of kaffir lime leaf extract obtained from the soxhletation extraction method. This research was carried out by extracting simplicia kaffir lime leaves by the soxhletation method using 96% ethanol solvent. Comparison between the simplicia and the solvent used is 1: 5, then the extract obtained was carried out with initial qualitative identification of flavonoids and total flavonoid levels were determined using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The results showed that the extract of kaffir lime leaves obtained by soxhletation extraction in qualitative and quantitative tests contained flavonoid compounds with a total content of 5.62%
