Abstract

In order to prevent marine pollution on board a motor ship, this study examines how the Garbage Management Plan (GMP) has been implemented. This study analyzes the elements that influence the success of GMP, such as regulatory requirements, crew training and awareness, availability of infrastructure and resources, monitoring, and law enforcement. This is done through examining the implementation and impact of GMP. Methods of literature study, questionnaires, interviews, and qualitative analysis were used in this study. The findings of this study show how important GMP implementation is in minimizing marine pollution. The success of GMP is greatly influenced by adherence to clear and stringent regulatory standards. Successful implementation also depends on crew training and awareness. In addition, the effectiveness of GMP in motor ships depends on the availability of adequate infrastructure and resources. Preventing marine pollution has a positive impact with effective GMP monitoring and enforcement.

Abstract

One concern to support the success of the company is about the performance of each employee. Employee performance has several factors that can influence it, including satisfaction and workload received by each employee in the company. PT. Indonesia Tri Sembilan feels that the performance of its employees is still not optimal and it is felt that it can be improved further, therefore an evaluation is needed on the factors that affect the level of employee performance. The variables used are performance, job satisfaction, and employee workload. Data collection used the questionnaire distribution method and data processing used the IBM SPSS Statistics 26 and SmartPLS 4 applications. Respondents are permanent staff at PT. Indonesia Tri Sembilan with a total of 39 people. From the results of the research, the researchers stated that there was a significant influence between Job Satisfaction and Performance and had a positive effect. Researchers also stated that there was a significant influence between workload and performance but had a negative effect.

Abstract

PT XZY is a company that processes industrial salt in the Gresik area, East Java. During the production process, there are still some obstacles found in the machine, especially in the fluidized bed dryer machine. With several obstacles such as problematic fans, unstable fan rotation, temperature sensors not working, and others that can hamper the production process so that the machine experiences downtime which results in reduced machine effectiveness. The purpose of this study is to determine the value of machine effectiveness using the OEE method then find the most dominant type of losses for decreasing machine effectiveness and to analyze the root cause of failure in fluidized bed dryer machine components. The calculation results show that the OEE value of PT XZY is 58.25%, which is relatively normal but can still be improvised a lot. The most dominant type of losses for decreasing machine effectiveness is idling and minor stoppage losses with an average of 43.47%. Then for the root of the problem there is damage to the fluidized bed dryer engine components due to lack of discipline in maintenance, engine components are eroded to breaks, lubricants run out, excessive raw materials, incorrect operation, scuffed / chipped cables, and electricity failure.

Abstract

PT. Duta Beton Mandiri is a company that is part of DUTA BANGSA GROUP domiciled in the Pasuruan regency. PT. Duta Beton Mandiri is a manufacturing company that has been established since 2008 and engaged in the production of building materials or concrete industry which has products such as paving blocks, bricks, ready mix, and precast concrete. PT. Duta Beton Mandiri is still often faced with several defects in their production, especially in paving block products as one of their main products such as easily crushed paving, cracked paving, asymmetrical paving, non-dry/wet paving and also damaged paving which affects quality. The purpose of this study was to determine the presentation of the most dominant defects, the factors causing the defects, and the effects they caused, as well as to propose the appropriate improvements to improve the quality of paving block products. The methods used are Statistical Quality Control (SQC) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). SQC tools are check sheets, stratification, histograms, paretto diagrams, scatter diagrams, control charts, and cause and effect diagrams. Meanwhile, FMEA is used as a proposal to improve the results of the cause-and-effect diagram. Based on the results of research on SQC, the most dominant defects were Easily crushed paving (38,34%), after that Cracked paving (28,86%), Damaged paving (13,83%), Asymmetrical paving (10,92) and Non-dry/wet paving (8,05%). Based on the results of analysis and calculations on FMEA, it is known that the problem causing disability with the highest RPN value of 384 is the machine factor with the cause of the paving block mold pallet in a dirty or worn position. Recommendations for improvements that can be made are by always checking the condition of the mold pallet before the production process starts on a regular basis.

Abstract

One of the deadliest strokes is a brain stroke. According to the results of many cases of brain stroke patients, there is a possibility that bad lifestyles such as smoking and drinking alcohol can cause high blood pressure. The goal is to classify triggers for brain structure symptoms by comparing several algorithms. From the results of this comparison, it is possible to obtain triggers with the highest number of triggers so that later brain structures can be diagnosed more quickly. In several algorithms namely nn , feature selection and GA. To group triggers for several brain stroke symptoms, to maximize feature weight and feature selection, data processing using rapidminer was continued with four algorithms: X-Fold validation and split validation with ratios of 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8 and 0.9. After this test, the most popular AUC values and methods, together with the Neural Net algorithm, the Optimize Selection (Evolutionary) feature, and using a Split Validation ratio of 0.9, produce numbers with very high accuracy. AUC of 0.549 and an accuracy value of 95.88%..

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a foundry company that has difficulty achieving production targets compared to previous years. This study aims to evaluate the level of productivity using the Objective Matrix (OMAX) method. The highest productivity value in September 2022 with a value of 540. Meanwhile, the lowest productivity value was in October 2022 with a value of 340. The amount of total production compared to the total use of raw materials plays an important role in increasing productivity. In the productivity criteria of effective working hours, the criteria of machine working hours, and production effectiveness show good values. While the criteria for the effectiveness of product defects are not good because they show the lowest value. Based on the analysis of the fault tree analysis (FTA) method, it was found that there were 10 basic events that caused problems from low productivity, namely the presence of inexperienced operators, no assembly marks on the mold, no mold density standards, no schedule for calibration, leaky storage roofs, lack of quality control in the supply of raw materials, no separation between raw materials, Sifting is not clean, lack of regular machine maintenance, and induction furnaces that are not cleaned every production session.

Abstract

PT Naga Laut Timur is a company engaged in the fish freezing industry. In carrying out its production process, this company is assisted by 2 types of machines, namely compressor machines and cold storage machines. After several years of the production process, the condition of the cold storage machines began to experience a lot of damage and downtime often occurred. Where in February 2022 - January 2023 the frequency of damage to cold storage machines reached 48 times and machine downtime reached 582.5 hours. Efforts made to improve that is by using the RCM II method. From the FMEA calculation results, three critical components have the highest RPN values, namely the Solenoid Valve, Shut Off Valve and Filter Drier Components. Optimal maintenance interval on Solenoid Valve with a maintenance interval of 279.2925 hours. Shut Off Valve with optimal maintenance interval of 331.3482 hours. Filter Drier with optimal maintenance interval of 345.3584 hours. The maintenance action on the Solenoid Valve uses a scheduled on-condition task with an optimal TC of IDR 4,334,846. Shut Off Valve uses a scheduled on-condition task with an optimal TC of IDR 5,859,706. Filter Drier uses the Sheduled Discard Task with an optimal TC of IDR 3,919,122.

Abstract

Pengujian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunan knalpot jenis standard dan knalpot model freeflow merk jrs, creampie serta mcc terhadap tingkat kinerja mesin dan tingkat kebisingan pada sepeda motor supra x 125 r. Data diambil sebanyak tiga kali pada stiap pengujian dengan menggunakan alat dynosport v3.3, serta sound level meter. Pengujian akan dilakukan dengan metode penelitian eksperimen dan metode analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif. Variable terikat pada pengujian ini ada empat yaitu knalpot standard, knalpot model freeflow merk jrs, knalpot model freeflow merk creampie serta, knalpot model freeflow merk mcc. Variable bebas pada penelitian ini yaitu performa mesin meliputi torsi, daya serta tingkat kebisingan. Hasil penelitian ini berupa angka perbedaan tingkat kebisingan, torsi, daya dan konsumsmsi bahan bakar per waktu dari penggunan knalpot jenis standar dengan penggunaan knalpot model freeflow merk jrs, creampie serta mcc. Perbedaan tingkat kebisingan akibat penggunaan knalpot jenis standar dengan penggunaan knalpot model freeflow merk jrs, creampie dan mcc berturut-turut yaitu 12.7 dB, 13.5 dB dan 14.9 dB. Perbedaan torsi akibat penggunaan knalpot jenis standar dengan penggunaan knalpot model freeflow merk jrs, creampie dan mcc berturut-turut yaitu 0.02 N.m, 0.67 N.m dan 0.49 N.m. Perbedaan daya akibat penggunaan knalpot jenis standar dengan penggunaan knalpot model freeflow merk jrs, creampie dan mcc berturut-turut yaitu 0.34 Hp, 0.62 HP dan 0.40 HP. Penggunaan knalpot yang disarankan bagi pengendara adalah knalpot jenis standard karena konstruksi dan efek yang ditimbulkan akibat penggunaannya telah diperhitungkan oleh produsen sesuai dengan spesifikasi sepeda motor tersebut. Namun, apabila pengendara ingin memodifikasi ataupun mengganti knalpot dengan tujuan meningkatkan performa mesin disarankan mengganti knalpot dengan knalpot model freeflow merk jrs karena selain meningkatkan performa mesin dan tingkat kebisingan yang ditimbulkan tidak terlalu bising.

Abstract

Filter merupakan komponen pendukung mesin berupa saringan terbuat dari material yang memiliki kemampuan menyaring dalam satuan mikron. Dalam teknologi permesinan dan transportasi dikenal berbagai jenis filter. Filter tersebut dibagi berdasarkan letak penggunaanya pada mesin kendaraan atau mesin pembangkit. diantaranya Air filter untuk menyaring udara sebelum masuk ke ruang bakar , Oil filter untuk menyaring oli mesin dari sisa – sisa pembakaran dan gesekan piston, Fuel filter untuk menyaring bahan bakar dari kontaminan yang dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan mesin, dan Cabin filter untuk menyaring udara pada cabin kendaraan supaya bersih dan sehat bagi penggunanya. Inner dan Outter merupakan komponen penyusun sebuah filter. Fungsinya adalah sebagai penguat media element supaya tidak terjadi collapse atau explode pada filter ketika media element menerima tekanan. Dalam pembuatanya menggunakan plat SEGC kemudian disambung dengan metode las titik ataupun sambungan lipat. Kekuatan dari sambungan merupakan hal yang penting karena menyangkut daya tahan dari filter tersebut. Untuk itu dalam penelitian ini dilakukan analisis kinerja las titik dan sambungan lipat dengan metoda uji tarik dengan variasi overlap, ketebalan material dan jenis diamond. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis sambungan yang paling efektif untuk pembuatan filter udara kendaraan. Penelitian dimulai dengan studi pustaka pengelasan titik dan sambungan lipat. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan proses persiapan alat dan bahan penelitian. setelah alat dan bahan sudah siap maka dilakukan proses pengelasan titik dan sambungan lipat dengan variasi overlap dan tebal material. setelah itu dilakukan pengujian kekuatan tarik. setelah diperoleh data kekuatan tarik maka dilakukan pengolahan data dan analisa. Dari hasil analisa kita dapat menarik kesimpulan dan saran dari penelitian ini. Target luaran penelitian ini adalah makalah ilmiah yang akan dipublikasikan dalam seminar International Conference on Mechanical Construction, Advanced Material, and Energy Conversion ICMCAMEC 2023 yang akan diadakan oleh Program Studi Teknik Mesin Universitas Pamulang.
