Although anemia has been known as a community nutrition problem for many years, progress in reducing its prevalence is still considered low. Even in some countries found an increase in the prevalence of anemia in adult women. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of nutritional status with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls in Islamic boarding schools in Kediri City. The design of this study was an observational study with a cross sectional approach. By using sistematic random sampling technique, a sample of 294 respondents was obtained. The independent variables studied was nutritional. The dependent variable studied was anemia status in adolescent girls. The instrument used was a questionnaire, the data were analyzed using simple poisson regression test with a robust variance estimator at a significant level of 5%. The prevalence ratio and 95% confidence interval were presented. From the results of the study, it was found that prevalence of anemia among adolescent girls was 29,93%. There was a relationship between nutritional status and anemia among adolescent girls (PR = 3.280, 95% CI = 2.330-4.616). Islamic boarding schools are expected to facilitate and strive to improve adolescent reproductive health, especially in preventing anemia by holding a forum such as PIK KRR (Information Center for Adolescent Reproductive Health Counseling) or other containers that can answer student questions related to reproductive health

Abstract

Dialysis is a therapy that aims to remove waste and excess fluid from the body. This method replaces the main function of the kidney. Two types of dialysis are known, namely Peritoneal Dialysis and Hemodialysis. Patients with chronic kidney failure are faced with these two treatment options. Both types of dialysis therapy have a risk of complications during the treatment period that can affect the quality of life of patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in dialysis methods of patients with chronic kidney failure with CAPD (continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis) and hemodialysis in terms of kidney function (urea and creatinine). The research design used a cross-sectional comparative analytical research design. The independent variables were the action of hemodialysis and CAPD. The dependent variables were urea and creatinine. The study sample was patients with chronic kidney failure who underwent hemodialysis and CAPD at Saiful Anwar Hospital in Malang with 126 respondents using consecutive sampling technique. Data analyzed by Independent T-test (a = 0.05). The research instruments were laboratory urea and creatinine observation sheets.Respondents who received hemodialysis were 23 patients. The average value of respondents who underwent HD was equal to (12.93 ± 4.53) mg / dL and the average value of urea could be obtained at (144.89 ± 44.73) mg / dL. Respondents who received CAPD actions amounted to 20 patients. The average value of respondents who underwent CAPD was equal to (10.32 ± 4.1) mg / dL and the average value of urea could be obtained at (104.18 ± 48.2) mg / dL. There were no differences in kidney function in patients who received HD and CAPD (creatinine p value = 0.130; urea p value = 0.083).

Abstract

One of the causes of the environmental problems is the tofu industry. Disposal of liquid waste in the river causes water pollution. To find out how far the burden of pollution in wastewater is by measuring COD and pH. In this case aquatic plants such as water hyacinth are an alternative way to overcome the waste pollution. Aim from this study the use of water hyacinth (Eichhornia Crassipes) in reducing levels of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) and acidity (pH) tofu industry liquid waste in Tawang Village, Wates District, Kediri Regency. Based on the type of this research istrue experimental. This research design uses True post test only design with the focus of his research directed to be analyzed the use of water hyacinth in reducing levels of COD and pH of tofu industry wastewater with 3 types of water hyacinth variations in treatment namely 5, 7 and 9 applied with 5L of tofu wastewater is then tested by a laboratory. Analysis of the data used is One Way Anova. The findings found the average levels of COD and pH after the administration of water hyacinth with plant variation 9 is 865.80 mg / l and 7.7220 mg / l, plant variation 7 is 4617.80 mg / l and 7.7180 mg / l , plant variation 5 is 6422.00 mg / l and 7.7180mg / l. Based on statistical tests using One Way Anova get a value of 0,000 <0.05 so it is concluded that the averageCOD level of liquid waste of tofu industry which are given water hyacinth significantly different. Based on statistical tests using One Way Anova get a value of 0.001 <0.05 so it can be concluded that the averagepH of tofu industry liquid waste which are given water hyacinth significantly different. The results of this study can be a community solution to problems in the use of water hyacinth to reduce levels of COD and pH so that the quality of water contaminated by industrial waste can be overcome

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a serious chronic disease that occurs because the pancreas does not produce enough insulin, or when the body cannot effectively use the insulin it produces. Risk factors for DM are age, gender, family history, obesity, central obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, lack of physical activity, unhealthy diet and smoking. Indonesia was ranked the sixth highest prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus in the world in 2017, namely 2%, East Java 2.6% and Blitar Regency 2.6%. The high prevalence rate of DM in Blitar Regency which exceeds the national prevalence is a challenge that must be faced, because the target of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2030 is a reduction of one third of premature deaths due to non-communicable diseases. The purpose of this study was to analyze the risk factors for Diabetes Mellitus in Blitar Regency. Method: Quantitative research design, using secondary data with the Non-Probability Purposive Sampling method, the number of samples of 400 samples and analyzed using the Case Control method. The results of statistical tests showed that age, family history, obesity, central obesity and hypertension were associated with DM. While gender is not related to the incidence of DM. Based on the results of the multivariate test, it is known that the most dominant factors affecting the incidence of DM in Blitar Regency are family history, age> 45 years, hypertension, and central obesity. It is suggested that future studies use a longitudinal cohort design to determine whether risk factors actually correlate with effect factors and to see a clear causal relationship.
