Abstract

A company engaged in aluminum metal makes aluminum frame doors and windows as one of its products. For the purposes of the production process of aluminum frame doors and windows, aluminum metal raw materials are needed. Control of raw material stocks in PT. Al so far still needs to improve its efficiency due to the excessive accumulation of raw materials due to the purchase of raw materials that are still not in accordance with the needs of raw materials for production. Such problems interfere in the production process at the enterprise. Therefore, a careful calculation method is needed accompanied by efficiency and is able to reduce the cost of raw material stock to a minimum. In this study, the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method was used to be applied to reduce stock costs to a minimum in terms of storage costs and ordering costs. In this study, data on the cost of procurement of raw materials carried out by the company before the implementation of EOQ amounted to Rp. 5,681,128,000 per year, while after using the EOQ method the total cost was Rp. 1,533,187,750 per year, so that the total savings were Obtained was Rp. 4,147,940,250 per year

Abstract

In the production process, defects or defects are difficult to avoid. The same thing happens in the process of installing gaskets on the refrigerator door. The gasket itself serves as an insulator and also as a door adhesive with the refrigerator cabinet. Inside the gasket is a magnetic metal plate. The defect that occurs is the gap between the door and the refrigerator cabinet. In other words, the gasket does not sit properly in the refrigerator cabinet, causing a gap called a defect gap. This defect gap greatly affects the performance of the refrigerator, because cold air from the refrigerator will come out through the gap between the gasket and the refrigerator cabinet which can cause the cooling process of the refrigerator to be disrupted. To reduce these defects, further analysis is needed to find the causes and at the same time alternative improvements. The method used in this study is the DMAIC six sigma approach

Abstract

The purpose of this study was for risk assessment of soybean pulp filtration activities using Fuzzy Sugeno, NBM, Biomechanics, and NIOSH. Design this research with fuzzy integration – ergonomics. Research methods with observation stages and documentation of working postures, filling NBM questionnaires, assessing Fcompression and Fshear, designing fuzzy sugeno to assess job risks. The findings in this study were a 35% risk of fuzzy sugeno approaching pain. NBM pain points ≥ 80% with biomechanics value declared Fcompression and Fshear meet not at risk. An average Lifting Index assessment of 1.8 kg may be at risk for soy porridge filtering activities. Overall, soy porridge filtration activities still have risks. Therefore, it needs to be reviewed further. Improvements in the work environment and work facilities can also support in reducing the risk of muscle injury while working

Abstract

Basically, all companies both big and small are always connected to the distribution of goods. The XYZ company is UMKM, the factory that is located at Ujung Berung, Bandung. The Company has three tofu factories that will distribute tofu into four different markets. This factory does not have a tofu flow distribution which results in high postage costs. In this study, the tofu flow distribution will be determined so that the cost of distributing tofu can be minimized. The method that can be used to determine the cost of distribution of tofu is the transportation method. The transportation methods used to solve the problems in this research are North West Corner (NWC), Least Cost and Vogel's Approximation Method (VAM) to determine the initial solution. Then optimized using the Stepping Stones method to get the minimum distribution costs. The calculation results obtained will be compared with the costs used by the previous company, with the hope that the results of this study can be considered by the company to be used in the tofu distribution

Abstract

The toilet is a facility whose main use is as a place to dispose of waste. Apart from being a place to dispose of waste, the toilet can also be used as a place to clean the body. One form of infrastructure in the toilet is a toilet, the toilet itself has a function as a place to dispose of human waste such as defecating and urinating. Toilets also have various types and sizes, some are used in a sitting state and used in a squatting state. The shape and suitability of the toilet is also very influential on health. Where the level of risk of someone contracting a disease attached to the toilet seat is higher because the use of the toilet seat is in direct contact with the Gluteus body part. Based on these conditions, a redesign of the toilet seat will be carried out, in order to meet the appropriate criteria. The design is in the form of adding UV Light which functions as a sterilizer for the interior that is exposed to dirt. The method used is Quality Function Deployment, namely product development that is well known in the industrial world. From the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it is known that the condition of the toilet seat after the redesign is better than the previous design

Abstract

The research was conducted at PT XYZ company with two cutting machines as the object of research. In this study, the OEE value is influenced by unplanned factors and planned factors with an observation range starting from July 2021 to December 2021. The percentage value of the first cutting machine availability rate in December is 94.85% while the second cutting machine is 87 in August, 49%. Analysis of the performance rate of the first engine was in July with a percentage of 99.20% while the second engine was at a value of 98.45% in October. Then, for the highest quality rate value, the first machine was 99.96% in August while the second machine was in July at 99.89%. From the three analyzes, it can be concluded that the first engine has only one month of below-standard performance, while the second engine has several months of below-standard performance in accordance with the OEE value obtained on each engine.

Abstract

A production process that pays attention to quality will produce a quality product and free from damage. This can avoid waste and inefficiencies so that production costs can be reduced or can be more efficient. Six sigma is one of the methods that applies principles to be able to achieve the targets that are met. PT XYZ with the Garment section is a part that focuses on producing baby clothing products. The results of the observations found that there were 13 types of defects recorded during 20 working days. Furthermore, improvements were made through six sigma with the stages of data collection, data processing, and data analysis. The results are known to still have a process outside the control map, so an analysis of rejects was carried out within 20 working days. Repair or defects that are most dominant become CTQ, namely 3 types of repairs or defects are Position / Label Brand & Size Not Suitable, Stitches Missed / Broken and Defects of Raw Materials. With percentages of 44.66%, 16.07% and 7.98%. From the production data carried out by Quality Control Garment in 20 working days as many as 44789 pcs with the number of repair products or defects that occurred amounted to 813 pcs

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic sector. The line used is a shared facility between drug and cosmetic production. This type of product is in the form of cream, gel and semi solid. These bulk filling machines are used interchangeably, several problems were encountered, namely the length of the preparation process for the filling machine setup, causing delays in the filling process. PT XYZ made the right improvement by reducing the setup time for the filling machine preparation using the SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies method) method. SMED on filling machines is done by dividing a series of jobs in two stages of filling preparation process with external settings and the second stage of filling machine setup process. The results of the efficiency of the preparation time and machine set up can reduce the time by 40%

Abstract

Indonesia is a country whose industrial development is very rapid, this spurs industrial companies to continue to compete and make restorations in increasing their performance. An effective and efficient production system will form a quality and competitive product, as a result of which the company can obtain aporisma profit and avoid losses. The losses experienced by the company are caused by waste. PT. XYZ is one example of several Indonesian cigarette manufacturers that have been known by many people. This company often experiences conflicts that exist because of the permborosan. as an example of waste that occurs, namely the delay which is not uncommon in the production process. the emergence of the conflict was material for researchers to conduct research using one of the lean manufacturing tools "8waste". Abstract

The object of research used is the Blowmolding Department division, PT XYZ, with methods of observation, recording, and time study for each setup of change of activities carried out. Based on the data collection method, processing is carried out with the Single Minutes Exchange of Dies (SMED) method approach.  The result of this study is that the majority of activities in the SMED method include internal activities, where in the setup process  changes can be made to the work system. According to the activity category, it takes 3.28 hours while according to the work system category it takes 1.52 hours and 1.55 hours
