Abstract

The emergence of the post-secular phenomenon as a critique of secularism is not without problem. The revival of religious zeal which is merely restorative in nature without being based on the defense of humanity and the integrity of creation is a great hole that deserves to be criticized from post-secularism. Abstract

Indonesia may be called a multi-religious country. Nevertheless, the State of Indonesia is not a State which makes religion its basis. The basis of the State of Indonesia is Pancasila and the issue of religion is placed as the number one issue in the order of Pancasila. With the above statement, it clearly affirms that the State of Indonesia is not at once a secular state or a State of religion. Likewise in all aspects of his life including family. But there is no denying the fact that the State and on the micro scale, the family has been much influenced by the flow of secularization. Today, there is also an economic awareness of the people of ASEAN region and finally forming a container called MEA (ASEAN Economic Community). This stream will in turn overwhelm the Catholic family and even urge the family to take part in the MEA flows. This context can shake the family order, including the Catholic family. Therefore, Catholic families must continue to be empowered through the radiance of the Eucharistic meaning. Abstract

The ASEAN Economic Community (MEA) is an ASEAN regional policy to establish market integration. To make this happen the government must minimize the market mechanism for the market to run freely and naturally. Consequently, in the MEA policy of the State institution which in this case the government is represented is tested because this policy may pose a danger to neoliberalism. Nevertheless, this policy is the only last resort to face global market expansion. The Church as a part of people’s life also retains the main attitude of rejecting all forms of colonialization or defamation of human dignity. A member of the Church is required to have an “added” value as a form of the ability to read the “signs of the times” in evangelization and the development of the life of faith. In the context of the MEA’s policy, members of the Church must be competitive- covenant, economical-subsidiary, adaptive-prophetic, and participatory- eschatological.

Abstract

Howard Gardner is well-known because of his multiple intelligences theory. According to him, there are many kinds of intelligences. At least, there are nine kinds of intelligences. And all these intelligences owned by everyone with different grade/ quality. Commonly, people proud when his/ her intelligence quotient (IQ) is high. And people think that the high intelligence quotient (IQ) is the main guarantee to reach the successful. Actually, one’s successful not only determined by intelligence quotient (IQ), but by all these intelligences. In this case, we must know what benefit of knowing the various intelligences in ourselves. Especially, it is important for a teacher to know all kinds of intelligences in his/ her students. Thus, in learning process, a teacher not only pay attention to a certain intelligence (such as intelligence quotient), but he/ she also has to pay attention to many kinds of intelligences. By this way, a teacher accomodate all students in exploring their capabilities.

Abstract

The Holly Bible provides a very complete view of the theme of sin. Scripture views sin as a matter of human relation with God and fellow creatures, not primarily as a violation of the law. Sin is also understood as a double-faced reality because sin corrupts the human relationship not only with God but also with others. Even sin destroys human existence and dignity. Moreover, Scripture never speaks of sin separately from the theological idea of God’s goodness and mercy. Thus, sin does not at all undo God’s plan to save man and the universe.

Abstract

Since the Second Vatican Council, the emphasis on the dignity and the role of the laity in the Church and society has been one of the important developments in ecclesiology. And given to the fact that it is proper to the laity ’s state to live both in the midst of the world and of secular transactions, the typical mark or special characteristic of the laity ’s participation in the mission of the Church is an apostolate exercised in and through direct concern with secular affairs, particularly in politics. In this regard, the decree Apostolicam Actuositatem, particularly in articles 7 and 14 has inspired the laity by stating that Catholics versed in politics, firm in the faith and Christian teaching, should not decline to enter public life.This article will examine - in the light of the teaching of the decree - how Catholic lay members can contribute to promoting the common good through their participationin politics. And in order to fully realize the mission of the laity in politics, there is need for lay formation and authentic collaboration between the clergy and the laity. It will also demonstrate how an effective transformation of the laity can be achieved through their socialization in the social teaching of the Church with regard to how they can contribute to the promotion, protection, and preservation of the common good.

Abstract

The Vatikan Council II has returned the Church is essence as a believer community. Thus, the Church is not longer identify the clergy, but include of the laity. The laity are recognized their dignity as a member of the Church with their distinctive roles anda functions in the world order. The laity are called to the direct world order on Christ. The task can only be realized if the laity undertand the contex of the realization call properly and correctly. The first, the laity must be recognized the sign of age. It means that, the laity have to have sense of sensitvity. They are also must be in networking each other. Finally, they must be know and holdfirm fundamental principles of Christianity.

Abstract

The word disruption is increasingly familiar to the ears of these millennial and tencenial, although Clay Christensen has published the disruption theory since 1997. The background of its emergence is the changing world situation and disturbing the life order of society. Disruption theory was born amid the frenetic changes due to the technological revolution, especially the internet. The Internet affects the dynamics of human life in almost every aspect: education, economics, commerce, social, political, cultural and religious. In the field of education found the pattern and system of education is constantly changing; in the field of economy and trade found the mechanisms of market and trade economies that differ greatly from the period before millennial and tensenial. In the field of religion, a change in the way of view of religion through subjective interpretations to interfere with the understanding of the average person about the substance of religion itself. In this changing society situation, all elements of society can challenge it but can not defeat it. In the Catholic Church, for the sake of the development of the Church, in addition to pastors, laymen are required to have certain characters such as reformers, literate technology literacy, creative, innovative and critish and inclusive.

Abstract

Tu’a golo is the name for the head of beo/gendang (kampong, corresponds to the traditional rural community) within the cultural setting of Manggaraian society, in the East Nusa Tenggara Province. Basically, the main role of tu’a golo is closely related to the traditional system of governance of Manggaraian society which includes: first, mbaru bate kaeng (house of residence), second, uma bate duat (place of work), third, natas bate labar (village yard for socializing and creativity), fourth, wae bate teku (water springs for life), fifth, compang (altar offerings). In the context of Gendang in the District of Langke Rembong, the role of tu’a golo is shifting due to several things: first, the diversity of single activity of the house to plurality of social activities offered by various social institutions; secondly, there is limited space (lingko) to be able to carry out the role of lodok lingko (distribution of land) so that tu’a golo only acts as a witness concerning the boundaries of the ownership of the land when the issue of positive law arises; third, the paradigm shift of thinking of the people because of the development of science and technology which tends to revise the traditional way or cultural approach that is considered traditional.

Abstract

This paper specifically speaks of the philosophy that lives in the kampong of Kelorema-Lamaholot and its didactic and contextual message for the living society today. With this theme, the author actually wants to invite people to love the depths of their own traditions since the movement to return to the root (back to basic) become a strategic breakthrough to counteract the negative impacts of modern progress. “Back to basic ” movement is not a step backward, but a powerful strategy for self-building and stewardship on the basis of local virtues to confront the negative effects of modern progress. A small study of the philosophy of Keloreama village is not merely a string of empty words, but it is a precious pearl that has a million worth of meaningful values of life. Effort to deepen the slogan of the village can be an entrance to uncover various values in local tradition and make it a solid pedestal for life in modern times.
