Ihya Ulum: Early Childhood Education Journal is a research-based journal that contains the latest issues in educational development in the field of Early Childhood Education. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of traditional jump rope games and increase gross motor skills at the age of 5-6 years at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Mariso Branch Kindergarten. This research is a Classroom Action Research, the model used is the Kemmis and Taggart model which consists of 2 cycles. The subjects of this study consisted of 12 children, 5 boys and 7 girls. Data collection was carried out by means of observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques used qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. Based on the results of the analysis in cycle I and cycle II, the researcher can conclude that the results of the application of the game can be started with singing, warm-up movements, preparation of places and tools, instructions and examples from the teacher and giving rewards to encourage children's enthusiasm. The physical component of children's gross motor skills has improved well. Based on the gross motor abilities of children in group B can be improved. The gross motor ability of children in cycle I is evidenced by the average category of children's achievement developing as expected while in Cycle II it is in the category of developing very well in training flexibility, balance and agility. Thus, the application of traditional jump rope games can improve gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Mariso Branch Kindergarten.

Abstract

The early period of a child's life is a very important time in shaping the individual's identity. During this period of development, outdoor games provide opportunities for children to strengthen the concept of identity. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the extent to which the application of outdoor games can be effective in shaping children's identity skills. This study used experimental research (quasi-experiment) with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this study was selected using purposive sampling with criteria including students aged 5-6 years at Al-Furqan Kindergarten, Sapobonto Village, Bulukumpa District, Bulukumba Regency. Data collection techniques using observation sheets and data analysis using parametric inferential statistics that require data normality to test hypotheses, using paired sample t-test analysis. The results showed that outdoor game activities have a positive effect on improving the ability of students' identity, including their ability to improve gross motor skills, coordination and balance, social, cognitive, and self-confidence and courage.

Abstract

The core components of interpersonal intelligence are the ability to understand oneself and one's limitations, intelligence of mood, motivation, temperament and desire, as well as the ability to self-discipline, understand and respect oneself. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of using the application of the reggio emilia approach to early childhood interpersonal intelligence in kindergarten. This type of research is quantitative experiment using pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The sample was determined using purposive sampling, the sample in this study amounted to twenty-two children, each consisting of a control class of 15 and an experimental class of 15. The data collection technique in this study was an observation sheet of interpersonal skills. From the results of the study it can be seen that the experimental class with the Reggio Emillia approach is higher than the control class, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Reggio Emillia approach on the development of interpersonal skills. In the effectiveness test, the use of interpersonal methods in Group B students of Aisyiyah Kindergarten Mamajang Makassar City is quite effective for developing interpersonal skills.

Abstract

Studi kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki dan mengevaluasi keberhasilan penggunaan metode pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan sains lingkungan hidup pada anak usia dini di TK Islam Assalam Bantaeng. Kegiatan pembelajaran dengan PBL dilakukan sebanyak 3 kali pertemuan, dengan fokus pada kemampuan mengamati proses pertumbuhan tanaman, membandingkan perbedaan jenis-jenis tanaman, mengklasifikasikan bentuk tanama, serta mengukur jenis tanaman. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen semu (quasi-experiment). Desain penelitian menggunakan one-group pretest dan posttest. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah Problem-Based Learning (PBL). Sampel penelitian ditentukan melalui purposive sampling yaitu penentuan sampel berbadasrkan kriteria meliputi umur anak 5-6 tahun, bersedia untuk dijadikan sampel penelitian sehingga sampel penelititian yang memenuhi kriteria adalak kelompok B1 dengan jumlah 15 anak didik. Proses penelitian dilakukan dengan memberikan pretes sebelum perlakuan dan postest setelah perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran PBL berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan sains lingkungan hidup pada anak usia dini di TK Islam Assalam Bantaeng. Implikasinya adalah pentingnya menerapkan metode PBL dalam pendidikan lingkungan hidup untuk anak usia dini, membantu mereka memahami pentingnya menjaga lingkungan sejak dini, dan merangsang sikap peduli terhadap lingkungan sekitar mereka. Selain itu, pendekatan ini juga berkontribusi pada pengembangan inovasi pendidikan dengan mengaitkan konsep sains lingkungan hidup dengan masalah dunia nyata yang relevan.

Abstract

This experimental study aims to (a) determine the application of the learning method of tourism in the Kindergarten Negeri 001 Timur, Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan Province, (b) describe children's literacy skills before and after learning with the tourism method in the Kindergarten, and (c) identify differences between the experimental group (tourism method) and the control group in improving children's literacy skills in the Kindergarten. The results showed that the learning method of field trips in the kindergarten was effective in improving children's literacy skills. Before learning, children's literacy skills in the control class were in the low category, while in the experimental class were also in the low category. However, after learning, children's literacy skills in the control class increased to the medium category, while in the experimental class it increased to the high category. There is a significant difference in the effect of the field trip method on children's literacy skills in the kindergarten, which is indicated by an increase in the average literacy score from 5.89 to 8.67 after treatment. This is also supported by the results of hypothesis testing with the value of t count> t table at the 5% significance level.
