Abstract

Health problems cannot be solved by health officials alone. The scout movement with millions of members throughout Indonesia clearly has a very important role in this. Scout members as millennial youth can be important agents of change, both for fellow youths, for parents and their families as well as for society as a whole. The members of the Ventura Scouts (16-20 years) andRover Scouts (20-25 years) in Indonesia number around 3.6 million (16% of 23 million). The study aims to observe the participation of the Ventura Scout and Rover Scouts who carry out various activities in the public health in the Jabodetabek area and which media cover/report on these Scouting activities. The research is qualitative in nature by observing news of Scout involvement in the public health activities in electronic mass media, print media and online media from January to June 2020. To complete the information, the researchers conducted in-depth interviews with several connected coaches and scouts. The analysis is carried out simply by comparing which media do the most news coverage/broadcasting about scout activities in the publicc health activities, and what motivations make scouts involved in public health activities. The research results showed that the of Ventura Scoutand Pandega Scouts were heavily involved in the public health activities, especially during the Covid19 pandemic, among others, distributing masks, becoming counselors, becoming role models. It turned out that online media was mostly followed by print and electronic media which covered and reported on the Ventura Scout and Rover Scout activities. This is also because the Ventura Scoutand Pandega Scouts are contributors to online media news, moreover Scouts have the tagline "Every Scout is a reporter". Meanwhile, the print and electronic media reported little about Scouting activities because they were more interesting in reporting on other youth groups. While the motivation of the Ventura Scoutsand Rover Scouts to be involved in public health activities because in accordance with Tri Satya and Dasa Darma Pramuka, among others, are helping others in life, participating in building the nation, loving nature and affection for fellow humans and being willing to help, and being responsible as citizens. The conclusion is that Scout involvement in the public health activities is quite often carried out in the Jabodetabek area in accordance with existing health problems in the local location. Scouts have been motivated to carry out humanitarian activities because of the pledge and promises contained in Tri Satya and Darma Pramuka. Online media reported the most on Scouting activities because the tagline "Every Scout is a reporter", while print media and electronic media reported the least on Scouting activities. The recommendation put forward is that every Scout carrying out activities in the health sector must be equipped with PPE (personal protective equipment), and the Scout Movement must continue to collaborate on an ongoing basis with the mass media, both printed, electronic and online.

Abstract

Background: Spatial memory is working memory that is used to recall when performing certain tasks which is a combination of attention, concentration, and short-term memory. Breadfruit leaves contain compounds flavonoids, tannins, saponins that are as antioxidants that can prevent cognitive disease. Purpose: This study was to determine the effect of breadfruit leaf extract on spatial memory in 10% alcohol-induced mice using the Y-Maze Methods: Method: This study used 25 mice which were divided into 5 groups, namely the Biloba Gingko positive group, the Na-CMC Negative Group and the treatment group consisted of doses of 1 10, 15, 20 mg / 20 grams BB of Mice. Every 10% alcohol-induced mice was then tested by inducing preparations according to the treatment group. The results of the time calculation on Y maze are statistically analyzed with one-way ANOVA Results: From the results of the y maze test it is known that gingko biloba gives the best effect then the treatment group with a dose of 20 mg, the group 15 mg and 10 mg, and the negative group giving Na -CMC. Conclusion: The results of this study concluded that the breadfruit leaf extract (Artocarpus altilis P) can improve the spatial memory of alcohol-induced mice 10%.

Abstract

Background: The intention in the Theory of Planned Behavior is preceded by attitude, perceived control, and subjective norm. This theory had been applied to hundreds of studies from many disciplines. However, when a nurse applies this theory, it requires a detail description related to Muslim wives’ intention to undertake an HIV test. This detailed concept development will help nurses in employing the nursing process accurately to achieve the target of Prevention from Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) program. Purpose: The study aims to develop a model of Muslim wives’ intention to undertake an HIV test. Methods: Concept validation of Muslim wives’ intention to undertake an HIV test was traced by using keywords “intention”, “willingness”, “desire”, “HIV tests”, “readiness”, “commitment”, “woman and HIV/AIDS”, “awareness”, in EBSCO, CINAHL, and Proquest. Results: The concept of Muslim wives’ intention was developed from existing theories as deductive origin and literature reviews as an inductive origin. The concept consists of many antecedents that being categorized into two categories includes internal and external factors and six sub-categories as follows internal commitment, knowledge, ethical values, risk perception, demographic factor and subjective norms. Both attribute and consequence key words each have one category. Conclusion: The tentative model can be generalized for other settings or situations. There is no specification that this model just for a specific gender or specific situation.

Abstract

The launch of breast milk on postpartum mothers should be treated appropriately to make the exclusive breast milk work smoothly. The survey result in Gampengrejo’s community health center in April 2019 was obtained 9 out of 14 postpartum mothers (64.28%) experiencing breast milk flow problems. Postpartum mothers consuming boiled katuk and kelor leaves can smooth the flow of breast milk. Many problems have been spent on the post-partum mothers on day 1 up to day 7. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the combination of boiled katuk and kelor leaf. The design of the research used is an experimental study with a pre-experimental design using pre-test and post-test design. The population is the mother of the postpartum on day 1 through day7 in Gampengrejo’s community health center Kediri. The sampling technique uses a simple random sampling technique and it is obtained 16 samples. The samples are given the treatment of a combination of boiled katuk and kelor leaves. The research instrument used is an observation sheet. Research results were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Based on the result, it shows almost all respondents breast milk that was 13 people (81.3) come out smoothly after being administered a combination of boiled katuk and kelor leaf. Based on the results of the analysis obtained ρ value 0.000 < 0.05 indicating the influence of the breast milk flow between before and after administering the combination of boiled katuk and kelor leaf. The medical staff is expected to provide information about the benefits of the combination of boiled katuk and kelor leaf for the postpartum mothers.

Abstract

Introduction: Preeclampsia is one of the causes of maternal mortality. In preeclampsia, endothelial dysfunction triggers the emergence of inflammatory cytokines and increases the expression of the molecular adhesion of ICAM-1. Inflammation of the preeclampsia can be controlled with the administration of anthocyanins. Java plum (Syzygium Cumini) contains anthocyanins that serve as antioxidants and anti-inflammatory. Purpose: This research aims to prove the influence of the administration of java plum (Syzygium Cumini) extracts on the expression of ICAM-1 on the model of HUVECs preeclampsia. Method: The research is conducted experimentally. It is done within the glass in a laboratory with two control groups namely negative control, three positive control, and six experimental groups (100ppm dose, 200ppm and 400ppm, incubation 1 hour, 3 hours, and 24 hours). HUVECs preeclampsia as a model of HUVECs preeclampsia within the glass. The ICAM-1 expression is used in the immunohistochemistry. The statistical analysis uses Two Way Anova test and regression test. Result: at the time of incubation of 1 hour, 3 hours, and 24 hours, there is no meaningful difference in the expression ICAM-1 (p = 0.392 > ∝). At the dose ICAM-1 of java plum, there is a meaningful difference between the positive control group with the dosage group of (p = 0.000 < ∝). Conclusion: An expression of ICAM-1 increases in preeclampsia conditions, administering java plum at a dose of 100 ppm, 200 ppm, and 400 ppm may decrease the expression of ICAM-1 in preeclampsia condition.
