Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in multiplication using the Dienes Block in class IV SDI Kuanino 3, Kupang City. The multiplication multiplication operation is one of the learning materials that is a problem in class IV SDI Kuanino 3 Kupang City; where most of the students have not completed the learning. This causes researchers to improve learning by using the Dienes Block as a problem-solving solution. This research is a Classroom Action Research (planning, implementing, observing, testing, and reflecting). The subjects of this study were 26 grade IV students at SDI Kuanino 3, Kupang City. Collection using test and observation techniques with quantitative descriptive data analysis. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes by 62% of students completing the first cycle and 89% in the second cycle. Based on these results, it can be concluded that using the Dienes Block can improve student learning outcomes on multiplication in class IV SDI Kuanino 3, Kupang City.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran tentang tema 5 sub tema 1 pembelajaran 1 dengan model Numbered Head Together di kelas IV SDK Oelolok kabupaten TTU. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindak kelas, yang merupakan suatu penelitian yang dilakukan dikelas dengan berbagai aturan dan langkah-langkah yang harus diikuti, dengan tahapan sebagai berikut : Perencanaan, Pelaksanaan, Observasi dan tes, serta Refleksi. Penelitian ini berlokasi di SDK Oelolok Kabupaten TTU kelas IV. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa- siswa kelas IV berjumlah 15 orang. Pengumpulan data ini dilakukan dengan teknik observasi dan tes. Hasil observasi aktivitas guru pada siklus I nilai rata-rata kelas 57,89 dan pada siklus II dengan nilai rata-rata 80,26. Kemudian obsevasi aktivitas siswa pada siklus I memperoleh keberhasilan kelas 62,27 dan pada siklus II memperoleh 85,60. Sedangkan presentase ketuntasan belajar pada siklus I 40 % pada siklus II presentase sebanyak 100 %. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Numbered Head Together dalam pembelajaran tentang tema 5 subtema 1 pembelajaran 1 dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dikelas IV SDK Oelolok

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education (PMR) approach on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students on the circumference and area of ​​flat shapes. The research method used is quantitative with a Pre-Experimental Design approach of the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design type. The sampling technique used a simple random sampling technique. Data on student learning outcomes were collected using a multiple-choice test instrument consisting of 20 questions. This study was analyzed using prerequisite tests in the form of normality and homogeneity tests and hypothesis testing using paired sample t-tests. The results showed that there was a significant influence in the use of the Realistic Mathematics Education approach to the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students on the circumference and area of ​​flat shapes. This is evidenced by the results of the paired sample t-test with a significance level of 0.05 and a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were (1) to find out what learning difficulties were experienced by fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Merbaun, Kupang Regency, (2) to find out what factors influenced learning difficulties for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Merbaun, Kupang Regency, and (3) to find out how to overcome learning difficulties for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Merbaun, Kupang Regency. This research method is qualitative, with data collection techniques using observation techniques, interview techniques, data collection techniques using observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used was descriptive qualitative, the number of informants was 6 people consisting of 1 homeroom teacher and 5 students. The results of the data analysis show the type of learning difficulties experienced by fourth-grade students at Merbaun Public Elementary School, Kupang Regency, namely students having difficulty understanding the material. As for the factorts that influence student learning difficulties include (1) learning tools/facilities, (2) laziness and boredom, and (3) low parental support. Efforts can be made to overcome the learning difficulties of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Merbaun, Kupang Regency, namely (1) the importance of assisting parents in the learning process and (2) creating interesting learning methods and strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the teacher's role in group tutoring services to increase the cooperation and self-confidence of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Balfai, Kupang Regency. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques used by researchers in this study are observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation study techniques. The focus of the research in this study was the teachers and students of class IV which consisted of 25 students with 12 female students and 13 male students. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the role of the teacher in group tutoring services to increase and self-confidence of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Balfai Kupang Regency, is as follows. (1) The background for implementing group guidance is to guide students who lack self-confidence. (2) The forms of group guidance used to increase student cooperation and self-confidence are group activities and group discussions. (3) The contribution of group guidance made by the supervising teacher is directing students to continue to apply the values ​​taught by the teacher, not only in the learning process but also in collaborating in group guidance in class IV of SD Negeri Balfai Kupang Regency.

Abstract

This classroom action research study aims to improve student learning outcomes about heat transfer through the discovery learning model. This research is carried out in two cycles with steps, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were 23 students, consisting of 16 girls and 7 boys. Observation, learning outcomes tests, and documentation are the data collection techniques used. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that there was an increase in learning outcomes in each cycle, namely (1) the results of observations of the activities of the first cycle teachers were categorized well with a percentage of 73.12%, the second cycle was categorized as very good with a percentage of 89.76%. (2) the results of observations of the activities of the cycle I students were categorized as good with a percentage of 69.83%, and cycle II was very good with a percentage of 92.24%.(3) the learning outcomes of the cycle I average student score is 66.08 with a completion percentage of 43%, cycle II average score of 89.56 with a completeness percentage of 87%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors causing the low ability of students to read at SD Negeri Sakteo.This type of research is qualitative research.It is a research procedure that produces data and is descriptive in the form of written or spoken words and observable behavior. The research subjects were 5 students of class V (five), 1 class teacher, 1 school principal and 5 parents of class V students. Data collection is done by observation, interviews and documentation.The results of this study indicate that there are two factors that affect the low reading ability of fifth grade students at SD Negeri Sakteo, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal factors are caused by students' low interest in reading and students' lack of reading habits.External factors come from a less supportive school environment, limited books/reading materials, less optimal teacher role, and less supportive family environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the method total physical response on the new standard vocabulary of Indonesian in use by students in class II in Naikoten 2 Public Elementary School, Kupang City. This research uses a randomized pretest-posttest control group in a true experiment design. All students at SDN Naikoten 2 made up the population of this study, and all students in classes II-A (the control class) and II-B made up the sample (experimental class). For the purpose of this study, documentation, tests, and observations are used as data gathering methods. Using the Wilcoxon formula in the SPSS version 21 application, the hypothesis was tested, and if Asymp.Sig.(2-tailed) 0.05, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted based on the analysis results.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in learning about theme 6, sub-theme 3 and learning-1 with the Project Based Learning model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with stages namely: Planning, Implementation, Observation and Reflection. This research took place at GMIT Baumata Elementary School, Kupang Regency, with the research subjects being all fourth grade students at GMIT Baumat Elementary School, Kupang Regency, totaling 14 people. The data collection techniques used by researchers in conducting research include observation techniques, test techniques, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the learning outcomes of students through the use of the Project Based Learning learning model have improved well. This can be proven by the achievement of the average learning completeness of class IV students, which totaled 14 people, namely in the first cycle the percentage of completeness was 71.43% (10 people who completed) and in the second cycle the percentage of completeness was 100% (14 people who completed). The increase in student learning outcomes is seen from the increase in the average score of evaluation test work. The other increase that occurred was in the activeness of students in the class which was assessed using the observation sheet that had been provided by the researcher. From the results of the research above, researchers can conclude that the use of Project Based Learning learning models can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in learning about theme 6 My Dreams, sub-theme 1 Me and My Dreams learning-1 with the Make a match learning model in grade 4 SD Negeri Dendeng. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. Which is an examination of learning activities in the form of actions, which are deliberately raised and occur in a class together, with the following stages: Planning, Implementation, Observation and Reflection. By taking the location at Dendeng Public Elementary School, Kupang Regency Class 4. The subjects of this research were 20 grade 4 students. Data collection was carried out by observation and test techniques. The results of observations of teacher activity in the first cycle, the class average value was 64.28 and in the second cycle, the second cycle average value was 80.35. Then observation of student activity in cycle I obtained class success of 55.7% and in cycle II obtained 76.8%. Meanwhile, the percentage of learning completeness in cycle I was 35% in cycle II, with an increase in percentage of 100%. Make a match in learning about theme 6 My Dreams Sub-theme 1 Me and My Dreams in the 1st lesson can improve student learning outcomes in grade 4 SD Negeri Dendeng, Kupang Regency.
