Masyarakat Pariwisata: Journal of Community Services in Tourism (ISSN 2798-1010) is a peer-reviewed journal which is published by Politeknik Pariwisata NHI Bandung, Indonesia. Masyarakat Pariwisata: Journal of Community Services in Tourism aims at initiating and stimulating advances in Community Services of Tourism. Therefore, it publishes papers that promote new ideas, models, approaches, and paradigms by contributing to the advances in knowledge and theory of community services in Tourism. The journal covers applied research studies and review articles, both in the format of full-length articles and research notes. Applied research studies are expected to examine relationships among variables relevant to hospitality and tourism by employing appropriate analytical or statistical techniques. High-quality review articles that address the latest advances and develop theoretical knowledge or thinking about key aspects of hospitality and tourism are accepted. Research notes are short articles that report advances in methodology, exploratory research findings or extensions/discussions of prior research.

Abstract

Kampung Wisata Situ Bolang is a community-based tourism area. In the past, Situ Bolang was a natural lake that became a tourist destination for community. Unfortunately, due to the impact of the toll road construction, the springs are blocked so there is no supply of lake water; the lake is converted into rice fields; now the community has lost their source of clean water; The occurrence of land conversion for housing, road access, and industry has changed the habit pattern of the farming community into unskilled labour. Behind the irony, it turns out that there is an opportunity that can be developed which is currently guarded by the community, namely Martial Arts of Nampon style. Nampon martial arts being so special because the first students are Ir. Soekarno (the first President of the Republic of Indonesia) and Moch. Natsir. In addition to martial arts, there are several people who like to paint, even the paintings have been marketed to the ASEAN region. As an effort to preserve community-based culture in the era of the COVID-19 Pandemic, it is necessary to increase community capacity through training in the application of the Cleanliness, Health, and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) concept in the Situ Bolang Tourism Area, otherwise to push the potential of people who like to paint, it can be utilized in making painted masks/tie dye motifs as an alternative souvenirs from Situ Bolang. Abstract

Abstrak Kota Ternate merupakan salah salah satu Kota yang memiliki destinasi wisata bahari yang potensial, salah satunya adalah Pantai Kastela yang terletak di keluarahan Kastela. Kondisi lingkungan di sekitar pantai Kastela yang kurang tertata menjadi salah satu hal yang perlu dibenahi untuk mengembangkan pariwisata pantai Kastela. Oleh karena itu CSR PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Fuel Terminal Ternate menyelenggarakan program penataan lingkungan Kawasan Pantai Kastela. Program ini bertujuan untuk menata kawasan wisata Ring 1 Pertamina dengan melibatkan peran serta masyarakat melalui pembentukan pokdarwis. Program penataan lingkungan di Kawasan Pantai Kastela diselenggarakan dengan menggunakan strategi kegiatan focus group discussion (FGD) dan perencanaan kerja, sosialisasi penataan lingkungan, pengukuhan kelompok sadar wisata, pelatihan manajemen wisata, pengadaan infastruktur, dan Kerjasama dengan berbagai instansi. Abstract

The main purpose of gastronomic tourism is to ensure that tourists get a memorable culinary experience starting from the preparation process to enjoying food and beverage products in a tourist destination. On the other hand, the development of gastronomic tourism in destinations must be able to protect local gastronomic products. Based on previous research, the awareness of the people of Pandanrejo Village to process goat's milk into culinary products has emerged. However, some difficulties are still encountered such as varying other products that are easy and practical without having to explore resources excessively. A training is needed so that the knowledge of the village community in running a culinary business increases so as to produce quality products to be served to tourists. Through this training program, it is hoped that participants will gain knowledge in the form of practical skills in creating quality, creative and varied processed products made from local ingredients with high gastronomic value. Tujuan utama dari wisata gastronomi adalah untuk memastikan para wisatawan mendapatkan pengalaman kulinernya dengan berkesan dimulai dari proses persiapan hingga menikmati produk makanan dan minuman di sebuah destinasi wisata. Pada sisi lain, pengembangan wisata gastronomi di destinasi harus dapat melindungi produk gastronomi lokalnya. Berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya, kesadaran masyarakat Desa Pandanrejo untuk mengolah susu kambing menjadi produk kuliner sudah muncul. Namun beberapa kesulitan masih dihadapi seperti memvariasikan produk lain yang mudah dan praktis tanpa harus mengeksplorasi sumber daya secara berlebihan. Sebuah pelatihan sangat diperlukan agar pengetahuan masyarakat desa dalam menjalankan usaha kuliner bertambah sehingga menghasilkan produk yang berkualitas untuk disajikan kepada wisatawan. Melalui program pelatihan ini, diharapkan peserta akan mendapatkan ilmu pengetahuan berupa keahlian praktis dalam menciptakan produk olahan berbahan baku lokal yang berkualitas, kreatif dan variatif yang bernilai gastronomi tinggi.

Abstract

Dalam pengembangan pariwisata, aspek Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) menjadi fokus utama, tanpa SDM yang berkualitas dalam pengelolaan dan pengembangan pariwisata, sebuah objek wisata tidak dapat memberikan nilai tambah bagi masyarakat. SDM pariwisata mencakup beberapa stakeholders diantaranya adalah wisatawan/pelaku wisata (tourist) atau sebagai pekerja (employment). Pengembangan objek wisata diperlukan peran dari berbagai stakeholders. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan gambaran terkait dengan sejauh mana peran sumber daya manusia yang dimiliki oleh desa wisata alamendah ini dalam upaya pengembangan desa wisatanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif dan menggunakan analisis dengan teknis analisis wawancara, observasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa sumber daya manusia yang dimiliki oleh desa wisata Alamendah sudah cukup berperan dalam upaya pengembangan desa wisata Alamendah.

Abstract

Many businesses incorporate social media into their marketing and communications plans. Companies use social media in an effort to attract more customers. The Department of Tourism and Culture (Disparbud) of Pangandaran Regency, is a government agency authorized to manage tourism and culture in the district. The purpose of this study was to describe the social media marketing communication strategy of Instagram Disparbud Pangandaran Regency by combining a descriptive approach with a qualitative approach. Based on the findings of this study, Disparbud Pangandaran Regency carried out a marketing communication strategy consisting of five stages, namely marketing objectives, marketing audiences, message and media design, promotion mix, and evaluation. Through these five stages, it can increase the interest of visits for the marketing communication strategy that has been implemented. However, the increase in tourist interest occurs situationally.

Abstract

The Ngebel District Government developed website technology in collaboration with Akedimis to advance the tourism potential sector towards the digital era. The purpose of this study is to describe the collaborative development of the dolanngebel.com website as tourism information on Ngebel's potential. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, the data used can be obtained from observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. This website was developed to facilitate access for tourists to find Ngebel tourist information through social media. The results of this study in Collaborative Governance resulted in a strategy carried out by the Ngebel District government in collaboration with academics, namely inviting business people to be able to operate websites to increase tourist visitors and carry out promotions through social media regarding the development of the dolanngebel.com website to attract visiting tourists.

Abstract

The coastal area in Pangandaran Beach Destination has been developed for marine tourism activities. Surf fishing by Cikidang village fisherman is one of marine activities that attract tourists for recreation. Surf fishing is one of sustainable fishing techniques for marine tourism development which provide Cikidang fishermen opportunity to create it as tourist fishing activities in friendly environment. This community service study aims to investigate the challenge and benefit, also assist the Cikidang fisherman community in making surf fishing tourism package as community based tourism development to increase their additional income as well as to enhance their surf fishing tourism product development knowledge and skill. The method used in this community service study is a participatory survey approach and analyzed descriptively based on depth-interview and field observation. The result of this study show the surf fishing is a friendly environment activities. The surf fishing tourism package program operation phase should be divided into three stages consist of preparation, catching, and cooking services for one day tourist activities. The surf fishing operator is suggested managed by three type of fishermen group associated with the Cikidang fish auction place. The offering surf fishing tourism package price is calculated based on the fisherman local guide fee, surf fishing tools and equipment rate, and cooking services rate.

Abstract

The coastal area is a space that has potential in various aspects. This coastal area is important to be developed both in the renewable and non-renewable natural resources sector. In practice, Indonesia is still considered unable to utilize and manage coastal area resources. As a result, the potentials they have have not been able to provide optimal utilization in regional economic development. The people of Buleleng in the Province of Bali where most of the population are fishermen also feel the same way. Many fishermen live on the poverty line and until now have not been prosperous due to the small income in their daily livelihood. In this study, the data collection method as well as information used the Analytical Hierarchy Process approach based on SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat). The results of the study indicate that there is a need for development both in the economic sector of the coastal area and in community development. The strategy that can be used is to increase technology and specialization so that the coastal areas of Buleleng can compete. Keywords: Economic Management; Community Development; Coastal Areas

Abstract

ABSTRACT Tourism is part of the field of economic activity that has a multiplier effect, not only providing benefits locally but also nationally, regionally and even globally. At this time, tourism has become a livelihood for the community. The national tourism policy is handed down to the provincial, city-regency and local governments. Implementation and execution of the program must start from the predetermined destination site environment, namely tourism awareness for the community. Baluwarti Village, Baluwarti Sub-District, Pasar Kliwon District, Surakarta City, is an important part of the main destination supporting the international-standard Surakarta Kasunanan Palace. The level of tourism awareness that has not been understood needs to be socialized through the Sapta Pesona concept. Tourism actors are expected to be professional in handling visitors through guides, developing palace area destinations, fulfilling hospitality and synergizing between departments in tourism activities.

Abstract

Borobudur as a super priority destination is develop with various problems such as conservation problem in main area of Borobudur Temple . The development of the outer zone including the tourist village has started but not able to unravel the buildup of the main zone and has not received significant tourist visits. It is important to develop a model for disseminating tourists as an effort to protect and conserve the main zone. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with an exploratory study approach by conducting interviews with key stakeholders in the DSP Borobudur area. The research was carried out in the Borobudur area and data validation used the data source triangulation method. The findings in this study are that the management model recommended for the Borobudur area as an effort to spread tourist visits is the single management single destination model. This approach refers to the view that Borobudur is a unified destination managed by an authority body, namely the Borobudur Authority Agency ( BOB) by eliminating territorial and administrative boundaries. The BOB function needs to be sharpened as a coordinating body for all organizational components in the Borobudur area. Marketing efforts are carried out together with the preparation of regional event calendars and implementing modern business management in the management of tourist destinations and tourist villages to support business continuity
