Abstract

This study aims to determine the partial and simultaneous effect of work discipline and work environment on the performance of Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Karo. This research is a quantitative research, where the research instrument is a questionnaire. The population and sample in this study were all employees of the Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Karo as many as 42 people. Instrument testing in this study was conducted using validity and reliability tests. The data analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results showed that the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, where the t value (2.452) is greater than the t table value (2.015), and the significance value is 0.019 less than 0.05. Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, where the t value (6.670) is greater than the t table value (2.015), and the significance value is 0.000 less than 0.05. Work environment and work discipline together have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, where the calculated F value (33.789) is greater than the F table value (2.83), and the significance value is 0.000 less than 0.05. The amount of influence of the independent variables (work environment and work discipline) on the dependent variable (employee performance) is 63.4%, while the remaining 36.6% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kesiplinan dan pemgalaman kerja secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap prestasi kerja pegawai pada Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Karo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 41 orang. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode penelitian dokumentasi dan metode penelitian lapangan. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan uji t dan uji F. Untuk melihat besarnya pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat digunakan uji koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Persamaan regresi yang diperoleh: Y = 8,442+ 1,236 X₁ + 0,365 X₂, artinya jika diasumsikan kedisiplinan (X1) dan pengalaman kerja (X2) bernilai 0, maka nilai prestasi kerja (Y) adalah sebesar constanta atau 8,442 dan kenaikan 1 satuan variabel kedisiplinan maupun pengalaman kerja akan mengakibatkan kenaikan prestasi kerja sebesar 8,442. Kedisiplinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi kerja pegawai. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan nilai diketahui nilai t hitung (7,023) lebih besar dari nilai t tabel (2,022). Disamping itu, nilai signifikansinya sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Pengalaman kerja tidak berpengaruh terhadap prestasi kerja pegawai. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan nilai t hitung (1,300) lebih kecil dari nilai t tabel (2,022). Disamping itu, nilai signifikansinya sebesar 0,201 lebih besar dari 0,05. Kedisiplinan dan pengalaman kerja secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap prestasi kerja pegawai pada Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Karo. Hasil ini diketahui dari nilai F hitung (33,421) lebih besar dari nilai F tabel (3,24), dan nilai signifikansinya sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Nilai Adjusted R Square sebesar 0,618, memiliki arti bahwa variabel terikat (pretasi kerja pegawai) dipengaruhi oleh kombinasi dari variabel kedisiplinan dan pengalaman kerja sebesar 61,8%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 38,2% (100% - 61,8%) dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini, misalnya disiplin kerja, pelatihan dan lain sebagainya.

Abstract

This study aims at finding the effect of work motivation and Management Information Systems (SIM) on employee performance at BPJS (Social Security Organizing Agency) Medan Branch Employment. Quantitative research is used in this study. The population of this research is all employees of BPJS (Social Security Organizing Agency) Medan Branch Employment with a sample of 60 employees. The analytical method used in this study is the normality test, the multiple regression analysis test and the hypothesis test. T test results of work motivation variable tcount > ttable (4.683> 2.010) and sig value < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), it can be concluded that work motivation variable is partially significant and positive to support employee performance. On the value of management information system variables count > t table (4,727 > 2,010) and sig value> 0,05 (0,000 > 0,05), so it can be concluded that the Management Information System variable partially has a significant and positive effect on Employee Performance. In the F test results Obtained F value of 77.754 > F table 2.79 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05 because the regression model variable Work Motivation (X1) and Management Information Systems (X2) together related to Employee Performance variables (Y). Based on the analysis of the coefficient of determination can be seen in the value of R Square of 0.722 or 72.2% of employee performance variables of 27.8% needed by other factors outside this research variables such as work variables, personal factors, leadership style.
