Abstract

This community service activity aims to help develop marketing distribution due to the fact that technically all pottery craftsmen in the village of Ouw have been able to innovate with existing handicraft businesses, but from the marketing side it is still very minimal due to a lack of knowledge and a lack of business networks formed with end sellers. The method used to be a solution to partner problem solving is training by providing materials that can be understood by pottery craftsmen in simple language. The result of the trainning activites is the pottery craftsmen can design a marketing distribution and will applied by promoting and building sales networks with souvenir shops and restaurants in the Ambon city. The conclusion of this community service activity is to provide an added value for business development and knowledge about the importance of building business networks with the assumption that if the production and marketing of pottery handicraft products goes well, it will have a possitive impact on the prosperity of them. Hopefully this community service activity can continue with a financial statement training and business development methods must be socialized by financial institutions or providers of business capital.

Abstract

These days energy has become one of the most important needs for society, considering the scarcity of basic household needs such as kerosene and firewood. The fulfilling of these needs could be solved by utilizing renewable energy. Some renewable energy only needs simple technology to be produced, such as biogas. Biogas could be produced through utilizing the farm waste such as cow manure that are generally wasted and polluted the environment. In Mamala Village, Central Maluku, the technology to produce biogas could be developed, considering the status of mamala as one of the center for cow husbandry in Central Maluku. Currently there are around 79 that are farmed by either group of farmers or individual farmers. The needs for compost in this village are very high because of the rarity and the expensive price of chemical fertilizers (inorganic), meanwhile 51,74% of the resident of this village are grow corps as their main source of income. The usage of chemical fertilizer also decreases farms production. Therefore, the supply of organic fertilizer such as compost that could be produced with cow manures, and sagoo waste should be increased. The produced composts could be sold or used for any kind of crops that are being cultivated in the village to feed livestock. In return the vegetables that are cultivated to feed livestock could also be sold to increase prosperity of the villagers.

Abstract

School children are strategic targets in providing information, education and instilling a healthy lifestyle from an early age because elementary school-aged children are easy to accept input and change. Another thing to consider is that children experience a period of rapid growth. This period would run well if it was supported by good nutrition, fulfilled and balanced. Education and information on balanced nutrition need to be conveyed to increase knowledge of balanced nutrition and equip children in their age of growth and development. The purpose of the activity is to increase school children's knowledge about the importance of the benefits of breakfast for school children. This community service is carried out by the method of counselling/lectures using slide presentation media. The activity continued with the distribution of leaflets to all participants and the installation of posters in schools. The measuring knowledge before counselling and distributing leaflets obtained an average value of 64, with the lowest score being 14 and the highest being 90. In comparison, the average score for knowledge value after counselling and distributing leaflets was 70, with the lowest score being 28 and the highest 100. Abstract

Cardiac arrest is a very important global health problem, in which a quick initial assessment and a correct and fast response can prevent death or disability. In 2018, the incidence of heart disease in Maliku based on doctors diagnosis was increased to 1.5%. A current incident of heart disease and a previous history of heart disease are both the biggest risk factors that could contribute to a sudden cardiac arrest in a person. So it is imperative for everybody, including students of Pattimura university from various faculties, not just healthcare providers, to know and understand how to perform Basic Life Support on any given situation. The result expected from this training is for the students of Pattimura University to be able to understand the theories and the techniques in assessing an emergency situation and performing BLS to those in need.
