Abstract

Vitamin C or ascorbic acid is one of the vitamins needed by the body which functions to help the body's metabolic processes and plays a role in the formation of intercellular collagen. The source of vitamin C in food mostly comes from fresh vegetables and fruit. Limes and lemons are plants that contain vitamin C and have many benefits for the body. This research The aim was to determine the levels of vitamin C in limes (Citrus aurantifolia) and lemon (Citrus Limon) are planted in the area Situmandala Rancah District using UV-Vis Spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 400-600 nm. The samples for this research were limes and lemons. The results of this research showed that the vitamin C level in limes was 0.218% and in lemons it was 0.816%.

Abstract

Pharmaceutical Services in Hospitals are part which is inseparable from the Home health service Hospital System that is oriented towards patient service, provision pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices and consumable medical materials quality and affordable for all levels of society. The aim of this research is to determine the suitability of the waiting timer for recipe service at Medika Citratama Hospital in Tasikmalaya base on Minister of Health Regulation No.129/Menkes/SK/II/2008, namely the waiting time for concoction 60 minutes and non-concoction waiting time 30 minutes. The research method is descriptive by making observations or observing directly using observation. Data taken were 370 outpatient prescriptions, consisting of 270 non-concocted and 90 concocted prescriptions. The average waiting time for prescription services is 26.30 minutes for non-mixed prescriptions and 52.20 minutes for prescriptions. concoction.

Abstract

Ethanol is widely used as a distiller of secondary metabolite compounds. Ethanol very well dissolves secondary metabolite compounds including flavonoids group compounds including for papaya (Carica papaya L.) leaf extraction. This review was conducted to examine solvent optimization that has been used in various original studies. The method of searching scientific journal article using PubMed and MDPI using keyword “extraction and ethanol and flavonoid and carica papaya leaf” with the inclusion criteria of 2018 – 2023 article, free full text and not review articles, the number of article obtained was 3 articles. The optimal concentration of ethanol as a flavonoid extract solven is 70 % ethanol at temperatures from 30 °C – 50°C with a time range of 10 – 48 hours of immersion.

Abstract

Salbutamol one of asthma medicine which can be made in to dispersible tablet with the addition of sodium saccharin as sweetener. This study aimed to determine effect of increasing concentration of sodium saccharin as sweetener on physical properties and patient acceptabelity of the tablet. The tablet was made into 5 formulas with the 0% of sodium saccharin concentration as Formula 1, 0.2% as Formula 2, 0.4% as Formula 3, 0.6% as Formula 4, and 0.8% as Formula 5. The tablet made by direct compression method. The evaluation of granule including flow time test, angle of repose, and compressibility test. The tablet evaluation including organoleptic, weight uniformity, size uniformity, friability, hardness, wetting time, disintegration time, content uniformity, and hedonic test. The results of the physial properties were the hardness F1 until F5 subsequently 1.70, 1.54, 2.48, 2.67, and 2.73 Kp; the disintegration time F1 until F5 subsquently 55.67, 56.67, 56.67, 57.00, and 58.00 seconds; the friability test 1.09, 1.98, 0.77, 0.65, and 0.63%. The results showed that there were significant differences among all the formulas. It could be concluded that increasing concentration of sodium saccharin as sweetener in salbutamol dispersible tablet increase physical properties and could be made as preferable and acceptable tablet.
